  2. I assume you are refering to your transaction and not Leon's (even though you replied to Leon)?
  3. Well, say and do, are two entirely different things . . . this list works by facts and consensus.
  4. Shut up. JK If I were the buyer I would have completed the deal, and never dealt with the guy again. And anyone who deals with me knows I use revolving paypal addresses. So I dont think october was out of line. If the check wasnt cashed I would take his word for it. Void the old one, and make payment. At this point it doesnt matter if you think october was rude or is a jerk. Complete the deal and dont deal with him again. In a nutshell.
  5. As of now I'm still holding out that there's a good reason as to why we havent heard from him yet and will hopefully get our comics soon. He made this post a while back: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=56&Number=2620628&Searchpage=1&Main=137630&Words=grandpa&topic=0&Search=true#Post2620628 I don't know what to think. I think it sounds like he ran into some bad times . . . We are a compassionate lot, but the list serves a purpose.

  7. Sounds like we got trouble . . . right here in River City.
  8. Well, the problem with this is that, as soon as he gets the books he returns them. Sounds to me like the deal between the two parties has gone south - why prolong it? Don't mean to jump in on a thread but your not talking about any of my transactions. I never returned anyone's books. Nor do I want to give that impression from what you just said.. (thumbs u Nothing implied at all, just pointing out how things could go . . .
  9. Don't anarchists usually have an "anything goes" attitude? If not, I say we ban the anarchists! Hence, "Anarchy Rules!"
  10. Did I miss that part of the thread? Ya mean the part where it's obvious they don't like each other?

  13. I'll admit my ignorance ask how the marketplace used to be? Oh and... Like heaven baby, brothers were just givin' HG books away . . .
  14. Agreed, and if the Mods would actually delete a thread or two, it might go a long way towards a better marketplace. But as it stands, people can do absolutely anything they want, and continue selling. I agree, and to the Boards in general (not to you JC) here's a BIG FAT "I TOLD YOU SO!" Can we return to the way the marketplace forum used to be? YES WE CAN
  15. I think that posting images of books "that are in my collection, but not for sale" in a market sales thread is tantamount to inviting bids and inquiries, and thus should be against the rules, as there is no fixed price that the seller will accept. If this doesn't change soon, then I will be forced to start posting a myriad of books that are "in my collection, but not for sale" And you KNOW that I WILL do it.
  16. Yes, and I think links in sigs should be banned as well - but hey I'm an anarchist.
  17. Or his kitty may have been laid off at work November 9 would seem to be a drop dead date, but hey, he still hasn't sent me a scan or an an invoice for a book I bought over a month ago (IM#128 signed by Romita) so I don't know, maybe he's had a change of heart . . . or he's in the hospital or jail
  18. Yeah, I know But it ain't happenin'. He delivered the goods promptly, I'm just never dealing with him again - you guys can deal with it when he sells to you. So, what you are saying is that since you got ripped off in a timely manner, it's okay. Uh no, he has contacted me, I think he means well, but doesn't quite get it. btw, seller made good.
  19. He probably just gave you a special packaging job. Yeah probably . . . cuz I'm so luhvable
  20. Yeah, I know But it ain't happenin'. He delivered the goods promptly, I'm just never dealing with him again - you guys can deal with it when he sells to you. 22. I agree with Nik. If the seller doesn't make it right, you have every right to name drop I always agree with Nik, but who is he talking to? As to the seller making it right . . . it perhaps was a nice FN/VF book when he sent it but now there is is a long vertical crease in the REFC - what's a boy to do about a $25 book? I just as soon move along. It's clear he can't grade either. So can't grade, can't pack, yet he's still selling books hand over feet - go figure
  23. The forks are getting out of hand as well I received a book yesterday in a PM flat rate mailer. Period. No cardboard? Period.
  24. The forks are getting out of hand as well I received a book yesterday in a PM flat rate mailer. Period. From an established Board member or a NOOB? That depends on what you mean by "established" . . .
