  1. Could be, but I don't know how you think you can tell that from some krappy cell-phone photos.
  2. I would drop what I was doing right now and take the next bus over to the dude's house and check it out. Get the full story while you're at it. Worst thing that could happen? He's a fraud, but the money stays in your pocket (unless two guys follow you home and mug you).

  4. Sounds like Michael is a casualty . . . I hope things get better for him, and he can rejoin us soon.
  5. It's only at 1000 for me . . . You default setting losers!
  6. Right back at you, Tim! A very pleasant boardie to deal with - Thanks! (thumbs u This may, perhaps, be the only time you will ever see Dale's and my name together in a single sentence . . .
  7. Well, the rule I was always told was, "If you shake it any more than three times . . . you're playin' with it."
  8. Can you give us a hint of what's in store? More OO stuff would be cool. Brian Going to postpone until the weekend . . . can't go head-to-head with Nik and Blue offerings Time to hit the WTB boards and see who I owe scans to.
  9. Not unless you're the Attorney General, you won't
  10. I'm thinkin' I'm about due for a sales thread . . . tonight at around 9:00 PST
  11. Well many times, we're trying to point out something the seller may have missed, or if a book is severely under-graded or under-priced, and btw . . . we're having FUN!
  12. As to unsolicited bumps, I believe it is: 24-hours - page 2 rule - no limit.
  13. its usually on one of the last 4 pages. Anyone can update or bump the list, just be accurate, use the existing format, and don't include your signature. It's interesting to note, that in its couple of years of existence, no one has "high-jacked" the list
  14. I think this is a really good idea. But I think it should be slightly more intricate, but kept as simple as possible. Maybe if we had offense as a B=Buyer, S=Seller. Which would label if they didnt send books, or failed to complete a transaction. And either the name of the person who requested, or if multiple people a brief description (less then 2 sentences for serious offenders)? But I agree this would be extremely helpful. Have to weigh in here - not a good idea. Names on the list are on the list - no confusion. If you start putting names of offended parties on the list, it will be misread by many. Trust me - the offenders KNOW who they offended. If they pretend not to remember, it's even more a reason they should remain on the list. It's not a dirty laundry list, it's an "Uh,oh maybe I shouldn't trust this guy" list.
  15. That would be me. He 'bought' an FF #32...$175, if I remember correctly...but delayed and delayed on payment. He was always going to 'add another book or two', but never did (thankfully, in retrospect). I sent a final few PMs, asking for the deal to be completed, but he never responded, and so after six months, I sold the book to somebody else. Since his 'return to active duty', he hasn't even had the good manners to PM me and apologise. I have no problem with people dealing with him if they want, but I will not be recommending his removal. The list is a 'tread carefully' warning, and it's entirely appropriate that his name is included. (thumbs u OK...completely understandable and Thanks Nick...completely respect your position...always sorry to hear such a scenario... There isn't a book I want bad enough that will tempt me to buy from someone on the probation list who isn't at least trying to address why he is there. Same goes for selling. Not only hasn't Clobberintime attempted to contact FT he also was quite rude when someone pointed out that he was on the probation list. That would be me. And anyone who browses through here KNOWS I have been trying to get a nice Hulk 144. But I will not deal with anyone on the list either. Straighten out yer and we can talk. But until then, I honor the list, and the work put into making this plce safer and friendlier. you dont need no stinkin 144 What's so special 'bout a 144??? Nude panels of Barbara Norriss
  16. I'm not sure mjacobs should be on the list yet. Maybe he is sick or the package had the wrong address. I'm just wondering if anyone knows him and can find out what is going on. Mike Mike, I too am concerned, hence my notation. Not like Mike at all, but it's been 30 days. As soon as we hear from him we can take him off. best, d Last post:
  17. Note: Kree_boy has been given a waiver for his most unfortunate circumstances (get well bro'), mjacobs8 has been added (hopefully temporarily) and gilbertotorres has been elevated to our 2nd "Hall of Shame" Member.
