  1. State your opinion once is enough for us to know your stand on the purchase but repeatedly ridicule and question his purchase is rude, imo. Or is that a type of harassment? Am i think that it is ridiculous price for such book? You bet, i wouldn't pay half the asking price for the 9.9 but that is his choice, none of our business.
  2. It is not impossible, depend on where you live; my lcs still has 20+ of #3.
  3. Will Dale Keown ever appear on American soil again? I only see him attend Toronto Comic Con for the past couple years.
  4. If you have insurance from CI, Fedex is the only way to go - they only cover up to $2,500 for UPS shipments (no matter how it's sent through UPS), but go up to $60,000 for Fedex. Can you provide the link to the CI insurance (I can't find any info to it)? Is it part of Fedex? Never thought there is a carrier cheaper than USP (within US)!!! Fedex ground is a way to go now for me. Thank you all for the info, such a great help.
  5. +1 I've saved a ton of money on shipping since I opened a FedEx account a few years ago, especially on larger shipments. And the precise tracking is a nice bonus. How much does fedex charge for single cgc book or big box of 30 cgc? Is it cheaper than the usual UPS $10 &$2 each additional?
  6. 6 x 9.9; 1 x 9.9 SS, I don't think any of us can compete....unless you have 1 of those 9.9
  7. Varies - $3.99 and up (weight and speed are factors). is $3.99 the cheapest/slowest speed, media mail? Thinking of like 1-5 copies or less. I probably can't do any order $75 for raw so Free S&H is out of hand.
  8. Which variants are you regarding? I did just pick up 2 of the Revival #5 2nd prints b/c they look awesome. AND they are below cover!!! http://www.midtowncomics.com/store/dp.asp?PRID=Revival+%235+2nd+Ptg_1251754 How much Midtown charge for shipping?
  9. Ryan Like the way how you take picture of slab, don't have scanner for slab and my photo is very . How do you set the lighting so there is no reflection?
  10. *Modern: 100 days, approaching 6 months soon!
  11. no, i never have. But i have 9.8's that "look like" 9.6's and vice-versa i also see a company pre-selling a whole lotta Bedlam #1's at $39.99 a piece. no way they are going to offer them at that price if there is any shot of them taking a loss on them. Dealer discount, bulk submission, and prescreen give those company advantage over single seller, and it is no selling fee for them. They still make $10+ per book even for fast track service.
  12. It's not even close to $10 profit if you sell a book for $50 on ebay. $16.2 Cgc fee(10%): not all of us have the dealer discount of 20% $5 handling fee $10 return shipping: for 1 book. You need to submit 50+ book to get avg of $3/book. $3+ shipping cost to cgc, media/first class mail $6.25 ebay & papal fee $3 book cost $43.45 for 1 book cost that not fast track. I rather sell it raw for the less hassle. Only worth the time if Cgc book sell for $70+. $7 profit for 3 months waiting and your money tie up ($43.45 initial cost), not worth at all. This also has not included the fee that ebay & paypal charge you for the shipping you charge the buyer. This means that you have to submit at least 2 books to worth your time. Assume all book graded 9.8, if any failed then you cut in your profit. This is standard modern submission, anything can happen, price go up or down. Fast track is even worse, -$9/book. For 3 books, you make $24 profit. Selling raw, you make over $15 profit for 3 books.
  13. Holy ! Sorry nothing relate to the revival! I just finish watching the rap video of your GIF, that guy is ***** funny with his dancing, William Hong II....
  14. I bought 2 copies yesterday and there are still about 10 to 15 copies left. These are from 1 store, other store are all sold out.
  15. Yes not hard to find #1 2nd print, cover price or less
  16. I have a question in regard of buying in this forum, am i protected by paypal if the seller did not send books after it is paid for? What options do i use when making payment through paypal? If the grading is not as descripted, is there anyway to get refund (in case of new sellers)? I saw some new sellers with 1 or 2 posts and has no feedback, little hesitant of buying from them. Thanks for the help.
  17. You can check out the "ask cgc" section regarding jay company books. Jay company is running by two brothers and they are regular vendors on most west coast conventions. They are also organizers for some of the recent convention: image expo and las Vegas show in Sept. As a company, they sell on ebay as well as their website; however, i believe most of their business came from shows and their weekly booth at a warehouse in CA (2x a week). They are well connected with west coast artists, many have done exclusive covers for them (used to call museum exclusive). Both of them are very nice people and easy to work with on the price of any books. I believe the company is operated by 2 brothers only that's why there is the delay on shipping. At conventions, i hardly see any helpers, may be 1 more at most. I usually go to their weekly warehouse once a month so if you need help on ordering, just let me know.
  18. For the regular convention goers, will Dale Keown appear in any future conventions this year beside fan expo in Canada? Your help is greatly appreciated.
