  1. Oh, ok. If everyone posts the ones that they are missing, that might encourage some trading. Also, if I know someone is looking for a particular issue, I will pick it up instead of leaving in the bin like usually do with ones that I already have.
  2. I'll place a caveat on this thought in that I haven't read rebirth yet, but his description of the character seems to fit Savitar pretty well. Given that the show borrow's heavily from Wally's rogue gallery, I think the better bet is on Savitar, not the new Godspeed.
  3. Oh, ok. Jerome, for Detective 690, what are the different DCU versions? And has anyone actually seen a Flash 94 DCU? I dont see it in mysterio's want list, so I am guessing he has one. It just seems odd to me that there is a second print and a DCU.
  4. Thats a good idea. Listing missing issues gives a good idea of rarity, too.
  5. I agree, a small sample size would not offer a lot of assurance and I would want people to comment if they had to go to great lengths to obtain a particular issue. I dont think we will get anything close to 100 respondents, but like you said, its a start. We can also include ebay data, too, to try to get to a more reliable conclusion on pricing and/or rarity.
  6. I was thinking that everyone would submit a list of DCU variants they currently have in their collection, and also indicate which DCUs they collect. I would want to know what titles each person collects so I know what should be the denominator in determining any type of ratio. For example, if 100 people submitted their lists and only three person had Flash 110, that would seem to indicate it is a rare comic. However, if those three people are the only ones that collect Flash DCUs, then maybe it isnt rare. I think it could definitely be a marketing tool (I imagine most of us sell comics in addition to buying them), or more so a guideline for those who want/need to purchase DCUs in determining a fair price they should pay.
  7. Well, one way we could measure rarity is by determining which issues each person has, and come up with some type of rarity based on that. For example, if we poll 10 people who collect Action Comics DCUs, and all 10 of them have #700, we can call that a common issue. However, if only one person has #702, we can call that rare.
  8. If were to meet George Perez again, I would have him sign these two books. These are two of my favorite covers, but I am a big Flash fan.
  9. I usually leave the ones I already have behind for the next person to find, but I will pick them up if I know people are looking for them.
  10. Oh wow, eBay is lousy with them. Guess I should have looked before asking. I found them both over the weekend in a dollar box.
  11. How difficult to find are the "Premium" DCU editions for Action 700 and Detective 675?
  12. I would take Kirk's word for it. Of the titles I collect (see post above), I would say the ones I'm missing are pretty rare because I've been looking for 5 years on ebay and stores all over the country and haven't found them (I still say they are probably in the closet of someone's little brother because they came in those 20-packs from Toys R Us). The following are also very rare in the titles I collect (I've paid up to $100 in some cases to get copies): Action 686, 718 Adv of Superman 499 Superman 77, 96 Superman Man of Steel 20 Detective 680, 682 (orange cover), 685, 691 Batman 517, 524 If you find any of these, buy them right away and don't sell them for cheap! Just to add something as the basis for my statement of rarity. I know three other guys who have tried vigorously to find DCU Universe variants in these titles. The ones listed above and the ones I'm missing have been very hard for the other guys to find as well.
  13. I bought a comic. It arrived. It was epic. Thanks!
  14. I'll be buying it regardless because I am a fan of Brian Wood's work.
  15. I think Quietly's art is fantastic. It is so well composed and cinematic!
  16. I've been reading this all along, but recently re-read Jupiter's Legacy (the trade is on sale on Comixology for $1.99!). I'll probably finish re-reading Jupiter's Circle this afternoon. It is so good! I dont think I had realized whose Hutch's father was when reading JC, nor realized what role Walter ended up playing in JC.
