  1. Does anyone know where I can find a way to purchase or pre-purchase this: Checked everywhere and while I know its still in rendering would love to have it the moment it hits. Comes from XM Studios
  2. Horrible photo but at CGC Signed by cover artist Mike Choi, and some odd ended basketball player, Tim Dunc something or other...
  3. An amazing pair of books shipped quickly and securely. Honestly can't believe the condition they are in and the price I got them for. Thanks for letting these two go. Akoni
  4. IMO I would wait on buying any Ms. Marvel comics until I knew for sure that Carol Danvers is going to be Ms. Marvel first before becoming Captain Marvel. Kamala Khan has a better chance being Ms. Marvel in the MCU than Carol Danvers right now. I think all of the key comics are going to remain keys regardless of how the movie plays out. Keep in mind too that Feige said that the Captain Marvel movie is going to be Carol Danvers. There's lots of movies between now and then to introduce her. My guess is that she'll be introduced, without powers, and will appear in Avengers 2 and Civil War. Mar-Vell will be introduced in GOTG 2 and killed off in Infinity War part 1 and Danvers will take on the name then (since her movie is the one following that). And Mar-Vell will end up being Starlords father. Carol Danvers is going to be Starlord's babies daddy... That's how she gets her powers...
  5. I had put in a for mess's and giggles bid was overtaken in the 2nd hour of the auction. Figured I didn't have a chance anyways.
  6. Josh has honestly been amazing. Both as a buyer and a seller. Earlier in the year I sold him a page that honestly needed to be owned by him from All New X-Men and he went out of his way to pay as fast as possible while also paying as a gift. Then just two days ago he returned the favor by selling me two pages of Cable related art for which I can't believe he gave up to me. I really appreciate everything and actually hope to meet him in person one day just due to his sales to me and purchases.
  7. Appreciate it, was a little down Morena Baccarin and Alan Tudyk didn't show as it would have been the full cast and a relief from a decent size headache but all worked out. Glad your happy with the books man and both came back 9.8SS
  8. Hey man, Easy way to sort this one, who are you trying to get a commission from? Depending on the artist many attend the plethora of Cons within the year and can do a drop off at CGC or a facilitator can pick it up from them at a Con. If not it will be up to the man in charge, Mike Balent to bless it off before accepting a direct submission to CGC. Usually board opps require a 10 submission minimum by the artist but it can be done on a smaller scale. Big thing seek permission first. This is not a hobby that is with acting first and seeking forgiveness later. Forgiveness comes in the form of a Green Labeled uncertified slab. Depending on the artist one of us may be able to help you out with a pickup to make things easy and more fluid of an experience.
  9. Steve works over at CBCS now. Probably won't answer you anytime soon.
  10. It might still be the only one. Been running into the issue of CGC not updating some of there numbers on the census lately.
  11. Damn, yeah I already own four of the other ones but that is the one that I have been searching hardest for but maintained a budget towards. I guess I can only hope.
  12. I really appreciate it. And usually when it comes up on eBay once in a blue moon it's around $1,200 or so but lately they have been priced at $1,500 - $2,000. Just wanting to know if I am missing something? Is it gold encrusted and then hand painted by Rembrant or something? It's a statue of Cable...
  13. Figure this might be the next best place to put this up at as I have been looking for this one for awhile and never seem to find one in any sort of half decent price. Honestly hoping for a little back story on why this is so damn hard to find as well but if anyone has a line on where I can find one would certainly appreciate it. Just a huge Cable fan I guess...
  14. To start out this is not the top SS, this is one of three that gained that top spot. But it is certainly one of a kind. Back story, I was in the Army for a few years and did what needed to be done all over. During that time I happened to walk into a comic store and saw this cover and knew from that point on I would forever love the artist for the way he created this cover. Anyways courtesy of Greg Horn with a few lines from "The Soldiers Creed" "I Will Never Accept Defeat" "I Will Never Quit" "I Will Never Leave A Fallen Comrade" My "One of a Kind" X-Men(2010) #14 "I Am Captain America" Variant
  15. A very quick payer and someone who actually leaves kudos... Can you believe that. Almost wish he had gotten this one from the artist himself but truly happy it found it's rightful place.
  16. Really late to this one but my thoughts I guess: I was 9 years old when I read my first New Mutants issue and it happened to be Cables first appearance in New Mutants 87. Something about this mysterious old man just seemed to draw me in. No one knew who he was, his powers, or anything about his metal arm. Favorite line of all time was: “It's metal, doc. I can make another one.” - Cable "With two paper clips and a screw driver right?" - Doc After that I was hooked and became a huge fan of the New Mutants ending stories as well as a die-hard X-Force fan. The big thing to understand was my age and the fact that I believe he drew things for a specific target audience. This period of time was following the big body builders jumping into the mainstream. The focus of Arnold ensuring children were fit in school, and every character (Rambo, Terminator, Predator) needing some form of larger than life weapon to bring into combat. The outfits seemed to mimic something the Predator would wear and as a child who really cares about feet or body proportions. Boobs were over exaggerated and waist lines seemed to get smaller and smaller and for a kid around 10 - 11 this was all perfect when you throw in characters like the Juggernaut, Warpath, Shatterstar, Cable and Spider-man into the mix. Big thing, he got kids interested in comics and for me that was the best part of his art. Older collectors will always have there favorite artists and for me I don't get them but again don't need to. I enjoy what I enjoy and am trying to get him to sign each of my books he worked on with my X-Force set as well as his New Mutants set.
