  1. I have a feeling Maeve was reprogrammed by Ford as part of his later realized guilt that that hosts had the chance to be alive, but needed to gain their freedom through suffering.

He didn't even seem surprised when Bernard showed up again after forcing him to shoot himself in the head. Like he just assumed Maeve or someone else would figure out how to raise him back up.

    "Recruit"

    "Escape"

    "Manipulate"

    "Mainland Infiltration"

Even with all those commands, I want to find out if she also had a hidden command to force her return back to the park. Or, did she make that decision on her own to find her programmed daughter?

Westworld Creators Reveal Whether Maeve Is in Control When She Gets Off the Train

Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy were guests on this week's Vulture TV Podcast, and they were very clear about her motivations: She was, indeed, finally throwing off the shackles of her narrative programming. The topic came up during a discussion about recurring shots and filming techniques in the first season: As Nolan explained, Steadicam shots indicate that hosts are doing what they've been told to do, but handheld shots indicate that they're acting on their own.

In the finale, when Maeve gets onto that train ... the Steadicam is leading her over. Now, it’s just keeping pace with her as she makes the decision. What we understand in the moment is it’s the first real decision she's made all season. Which is, she's not going to fulfill the -script she's been given, which is to take this train wherever it's going, and do whatever else she's programmed to do. She can get off the train. At which point, we shift to handheld camera, which we'd held back on throughout the entire season until one moment with her, and one moment with Dolores, when Teddy comes to rescue her. We get Maeve off the train with a handheld camera. And I remember watching the dailies and almost being shocked at how effective a cinematic technique can be if you hold off on it for long enough. If you dial it in at just the right moment, that suggests she's literally like a train coming off the tracks. We're no longer in programmatic or prescribed behaviors. She's improvising, and we're right there with her.

    Excellent!

    Thank you for posting that

I was hoping she was doing her own thing

  2. I would think that now that they have done westworld, next season will be futureworld.

The park reopens after the tragedy, we get to see all the different parks besides westworld, and then they start kidnapping world leaders and replacing them with robots.

Whatever they do I'm looking forward to it big time.

Did they ever say who had reprogrammed Maeve with the escape narrative? I would guess Ford, but I can't remember if they ever said specifically who did it.

  3. So what is the difference between the old and new robots?

Fords secret family are old robots, and so is Delores (as we saw when she was split open to reveal mechanical parts)

But the newer ones, are they like cyborgs? With actual flesh and blood bodies?

I've been so impressed with things so far, I never thought the show would be this good, or capture my imagination to the degree it has.

  4. Adrian Paul's TV show brought back its roots and many fans like me.

I almost forgot about that. I knew there was more than just the first movie that i liked.

I really enjoyed that TV series. And the actor did a solid job in the role. At least the first four seasons kept me going. I think the last two I lost interest.

    The TV series was great!

    I'll go see a reboot

  5. CGC / CCS Customer Service always tries to find a quick and satisfactory solution to any problem, but when someone repeatedly harasses our Customer Service representatives in a belligerent and unprofessional manner we cannot continue to work with them. In this specific case, we felt that a customer repeatedly crossed a line with our CCS / CGC Customer Service representatives, particularly by publicly attacking her in a hostile way, and we made the decision to terminate this customer's membership and prohibit him from further participation on the Boards. This was not a decision we made lightly. We are always willing to listen to complaints and will do everything possible to resolve them, but understandably we will not tolerate abusive behavior towards any of our excellent and hard-working staff.

That is not true . I have all the emails that I sent and the replies by her. I was not publicly attacking her in a hostile way. I am only guilty of making the videos about your case and how my books are having problems.

And I told her that in the emails that I was not mad at her only at the company you work for and thanked her for trying to help me,with that she told me to send the books back again. I did and was told this is the last time and I agree with her.

Four books in total sent back twice to you and two of the four look great now with no issues. But the other two books...One has excessive newton rings all over the front and the last one comes back damage with ripples on the back and two spine ticks that where not there before.

I have photos of how the book looked like before I sent it back the two times to CGC.

The only unprofessional manner is the way this case holds our books and how it presents itself.

Any level of newton rings are not acceptable in my and many others view. But now we have gone beyond newton rings and one of my books is damaged by your company.

I understand you banning me but you did damage my book, and I was not happy about it. I own up to what i said in the videos and why you banned me of sending my books to you ever again.

If you would like to see all the emails and photos I sent her please contact me if you want and I would be happy to send this information to you. You have my contact info.

This is actually a pretty reasonable post

If this had all taken place a few months ago before the new case correction you would have received an entirely different treatment, as everyone was mad about newton rings and wavy books then.

Now you're just going to get trolled

I'd still post the email exchanges/photos in your defense.

  6. They can still leave feedback

Apologize again, and maybe offer him 10% off his next purchase from you?

An apology and some little token gesture of some kind would be about as far as I would go.

You could always ask him what he thinks you should do

I used to do that I when I managed a restaurant, and had to deal with angry customers, most times they would ask for less then I was ready to give them.

  7. 31 new posts, I thought the page had been found.

As far as people recognizing the address and stealing it because they know it's from CGC

    I don't think so

There's much more consistently high value stuff that's way easier to convert to cash going through the mail everyday. (if they were tracking sender addresses)

Look at all the gold/silver bars and coins from ebay alone, plus jewelry/watches.

    Electronics

    Phones

    ETC.......

98% of the population does not automatically equate comics with huge money.

I'm trying to remember the boardie who had some contractors at his house and one came back and stole a bunch of his high value books(plus his chainsaw if I remember right), and then was selling the slabs for 3 dollars a piece.

    Could it have been stolen?

    Sure

Was it some big inside job based off the address?

    I doubt it.

One way or the other it will surface eventually.

    Good luck with things.

  8. It felt like ET, Firestarter, close encounters of the third kind, and poltergeist, all rolled into one.

Like the director just borrowed elements from above movies to make it.

I enjoyed it, but couldn't help feeling I'd seen it before.

  9. Wow Mio!

When I just scrolled by that first painting I actually thought I was looking at a picture for a few seconds. Those are fantastic. Congrats!

    So did I.

I thought they were painted teapots and thought, cool. Then I read your post and quickly scrolled back up and realized they were paintings of painted teapots an though, holy mess!

    Very well done Mio. :applause:

Dang, I thought they were pictures too. Those are awesome!!

    Got me too

I thought I was looking at painted teapots
