  1. So the space around him stretches, but not him? Hmmm
  2. This is the part that got him on my list. All that over a late T-shirt
  3. Does Greggy have a store somewhere? Or an Ebay store? Seems like I always see what he's getting, but never what he's selling. What does he do with all these books?
  4. I was driving through a tunnel a few years back in heavy traffic, right when I got to the part where it curves, I got hit with a double sneeze, I couldn't see for about three seconds, I thought I was going to die for sure. The positive part is the fact that I didn't
  5. So now Sue can fly? She has raised herself on invisible platforms before, but to the best of my knowledge, no full on flying.
  6. That's as nice as any I've seen yet, and I've looked at well over 100 copies in my search. I've found that the only ones that don't seem to have the creases and drag/scuff marks are the ones where there is a little bit of white stripe showing. Yours might be the nicest spine I've seen yet, and that tiny white stripe wouldn't bother either as it's so small and the alignment of the cover is so straight. I'd be thrilled to find something like that. I'll bet it wasn't cheap.
  7. That's a beauty for sure. Also a good example of what I'm talking about. If you look close, you can see the tics and faint drag(?) marks on the spine I'm talking about, even on a high grade example like that. Look on the arm by the spine, they are super faint, but still visible. It's like they were issued like that, and then got more pronounced as people handled the books.
  8. So, as you know, I have been in the process of upgrading all my FF's to 7.0 or better. One of the books currently on my active want list is #37, and I noticed that almost all of them, even in high grade have some spine issues, from color breaking creases(to just small non-color breaking creases), to drag marks(?) down the length of the spine. Way more often than any other issue number I have seen. Anyone know why this is? The dark cover? Production error? Something else? I'm having a heck of a time finding one reasonably priced with a nice looking spine.
  9. I guess there is a good number of people irritated by the price spike on #46 (not to mention #45)… I got my 45 upgrade just before the prices took off, so I'm thankful for that. I already have decent copies of 46 and 41, I'm just trying to upgrade them, so it's not the end of the world if I have to wait a while for the right deal to come along. On the positive side, I did finally get a really nice issue 66 the other day, so I'm pretty happy about that as I have been trying to upgrade it for almost a year.
  10. Depends on why you blocked them the first time. What did you block them for?
  11. It is, but #41 is not a key after all – I believe he will surely have other opportunities even if he wants a high grade copy. You can definitely get one. I picked up a CGC 8.5 for $75 last month. Just have to be watchful! Sweet! Agreed, it will happen. It's more the 46 that I'm irritated about as it has really shot up in price.
  12. I still think Medusa is really going to be the key to this movie being a success. Don't get me wrong, I like the Inhumans, I've just never really been that into them. I believe Medusa has the potential to be the greatest onscreen superhero in history done right. I picture her walking into a room of bad guys, looking at her nails, blowing on them, rubbing them on her shirt, and then looking at them again, appearing to be completely disinterested in what's going on around her, meanwhile her hair is going crazy, grabbing people, and smashing them into walls, and throwing them out windows. Hell yeah! That's what I'm looking forward to, and IMO, the key to success for this movie.(Medusa!!!) I'm curious to see how they handle a non-speaking black bolt. I'm looking forward to the film, I just wish I had got my upgrade of 46 before the prices went crazy. It looks like all the early inhuman appearances are starting to rise in price, I just missed out on a nice FF41 last night with an early Medusa appearance when the bidding started to get higher than I wanted to pay(or felt was reasonable pre hype), so that's probably contributing to my slightly bitter tone when discussing the inhumans
  13. My "opinion" is that taste does not constitute a valid argument per se. As much "crazy stuff" as you call it, they have imagined in the Marvel age, as I said Black Bolt limitation has probably more to it than being just an "inability to speak" (due to its power). It is an inability to communicate, his limit is strictly related to his power and role – that’s all it forms his personal value as a character, so in my opinion you can’t discard it by simply saying "it’s boring": that is not an opinion, it’s merely taste. I can say that I don’t like certain (many) current comics, and I can argument to death the reason for which I don’t consider them valid artistic products, but I think we should always try to say more than just "I like it" and "I don’t like it" – that’s what I meant, nothing personal. @Bronx: I would like to upgrade my #46 but honestly it is already out of reach for me. Not all people loving Marvel comics are willing to spend hundreds on each and every book of the run. Which is the "Agent of Shield" storyline? By "modern version" are you referring to something specific? The new Ms. Marvel is also an Inhuman, and I think it will be a core title for what Marvel is intentioned to do, regardless. The last issues featured Medusa and Lockjaw. I quite like the title, and now it has some Fantastic Four tint to it… Black Bolt is the leader of the Inhumans. Imagine if the President came out for his next state of the nation address, and didn't say a word, but instead did a series of "body poses", one, no one would have any idea what he's trying to communicate, and two, he wouldn't be president for long with such a marked inability to communicate. I guarantee you one thing, when the Inhumans movie comes out, they will NOT have black bolt communicating through a series of body poses only. Helen Keller style communication skills does not make for a box office superstar IMO. Medusa will make or break that movie, not the black bore and his body poses.
  14. I think we might go along VERY WELL. Aww… give me a break – that was and is the most fascinating aspect of Black Bolt (and Medusa). What makes you think everyone could invent a "thought translator" overnight? The Marvel age of comics has always been highly imaginative but not unlikely. Now it has become unlikely and very little imaginative (with good peace of presumptuous writers). And the "little antenna" as you call it, belongs to Lockjaw as well. What makes me think that they could invent a translator is the medium, comic books, think of all the crazy stuff they have invented for comic books, take the ultimate nullifier for example(from the same time period as black bolts first appearance), a device that can destroy anything in the universe and is the size of a cell phone, so with that in mind is a speaking device for black bolt really that much of a stretch of the imagination? And speaking of cell phones, could black bolt maybe send a couple text messages every now and then to clear up any confusion about what he really means instead of trying to communicate through body poses? Everyone's entitled to their opinions, and mine is that black bolt is BORING
  15. I've always the found majority of the inhumans to be boring and uninteresting. Take Black Bolt, can't speak, has that little antenna, and for the longest time his only form of communication was how he stood, Look, Black Bolt is doing his posture of agreement! Why didn't they just make up a thought translator that he could wear that would speak for him in a mechanical voice??? Basically the two best characters IMO are Medusa and Lockjaw.
  16. No way this hype lasts all the way till the movie comes out. Ebay is flooded with 45's and 46's right now. I bet we see a dip in prices by this time next year.
  17. No doubt. I was in the process of upgrading my FF's when this non sense started. Luckily I got 45 before the prices went crazy, but I still need an upgrade for 46, which looks like it won't be happening anytime soon. I'm with you, I'm waiting for this massive lemon to tank worse than the first two FF movies, and for prices to go back to normal. This is the worst movie hype bump I've seen since I returned to collecting, and the movie is years away, and it stars characters nobody really cared that much about in the first place. (and yes my opinion is influenced by a large degree of buttthurt over not getting my 46 upgrade before prices went crazy)
  18. Let her know that. Maybe they'll magically appear (she'll find them). Updating this. I emailed the buyer (storestockpsycho) twice at the two email address I have for her and received no response or confirmation they were received. Instead, I receive an email notifying me that her dispute has been escalated to a claim. She even made sure to note in the claim that she hasn't heard from me and that I've been ignoring her. :: Needless to say, I'm disputing the claim, but I'm not too optimistic about it. Second update: I disputed the PayPal claim and PayPal made the following ruling. So it looks like they may have ruled in my favor. But heads up in case "storestockpsycho" or Jesyca Vilensky contacts you for a package deal on books you are selling on eBay or any other site. Think they actually ruled in her favor. She can send back anything she wants. As long as she uploads a tracking number, she will get a refund. Might get a newspaper back... Possibly. I'll make sure to document the opening of her package, though, since I did not send her newspaper. Status We contacted the buyer and let them know that you would agree to process a full refund if they return the merchandise to you in its original condition. Looks like you were right. The buyer didn't even bother to send newspaper. She sent an empty envelope via USPS priority. It's official storestockpsycho and Jesyca Vilensky is a scammer. Beware of storestockpsycho and Jesyca Vilensky You blocked out her address??? How are we supposed to sign her up for home delivery of the north American man boy love association newsletter now?
  19. The TTA 93 cover and SS4 are my favorites
  20. Something about FFs and purple covers this one just pops the inks are unreal Agreed This one really is stunning! I love how there is no page poke out at all on it.
  21. Shinders on 7th and Hennepin in downtown Minneapolis. Had to take the city bus there. I loved it, that was 35 years ago and I remember it like yesterday. Massive selection of back issues. One of the greatest line ups of wall books I've ever seen. I remember standing and staring up at FF #1 on the wall every time I went in.
