  1. tread careful phil...you are in dangerous territory. If you point out any kool-aide drinking, the drinkers get very furious very fast.
  2. if you are lucky you can be one of the few able to identify the five, but that's the best anyone can truly hope for.
  3. Revival seems to be finding a nice floor now. Hopefully it can build from here on solid fundamentals and growing readership. It will be interesting to see if the rumors of possible rumors mentioned many a page back now, actually materialize. That could get the speculation fever flying again real quick.
  4. Uhm, the price is falling on every single book in revival. 9.8s I posted around that time sold for $125 and $132. They are selling for $60-$70 now. Anyone who listened to me, saved themselves a lot of money. Same with the raw books. They are finding a floor now, which is where the discussion has moved too.. EDIT: and i owned all the same books i do now then, still havent slabbed any of them...(and if you read all the posts from then, i was always wanting the book to do well, and liked it ) That was eisleys quote NOT MINE. Learn how to post properly. They are not my thoughts at all... he quoted your quote of me, and deleted the non relevant part. He was agreeing with what he quoted, and the person's name in the quote makes no difference to what he was saying.

  6. Wow that is some crazy stuff. That cover isn't even that special. I'm surprised it is creeping up so high... Man two weeks ago they were selling these for 30 bucks a pop at the Baltimore Con. That is a sweet cover though and I bet these continue to go up. Thank you Beachbum for the 9.8! I bought one for $26 the day of the con (didnt go). It's more like a 9.6 than a 9.8 though, and not slabbed. Hadn't continued to watch it (cause i bought it to complete the set). That's some impressive movement. I suppose, if "1st alpha" is going to matter, thats the one to have.
  7. good post, lets have this one be the last in the thread, and maybe the kite can get off the ground. Edit - ditto 500
  8. yah, there we go. any of the list can be put in ebay and sorted by completed listings. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SHADOWMAN-BLACK-VALIANT-NEW-2012-SERIES-HOT-/320981820866 was the top raw with bids on ebay, will be interesting to see how it closes out versus previous. currently still @76 with 8 bids, with just over 3 hrs to go.
  9. I have three monitors, this is on the side one, so I am free to smash n00bs like you between work tasks. So far the totality of your gahhhbage include, "post count " "WE the forum " and now "how fast you refresh " stop trying to argue with me, you cant. If you got an e-crush on 5 dudes, subscribe to their posts and shut it. You have no authority to try and dictate discussion on this board, let alone this thread, which you didnt start. If you actually cared about the thread YOU would stop derailing it, trying to be an e-thug wanksta. your joke is fail, your points are fail. I have tried to put the thread back on track many times. But people clearly just want to argue and make it a chatroom. so be it, but i am not going anywhere. I'll ride it all the way to lock down while you wreck a great thread.
  10. CAPITAL LETTERS CANT MAKE YOUR POINT TRUE I am on topic except when I am answering you. so like i said, go back and read if you want to keep arguing your pointless point. Otherwise listen to your own pointless advice and wait for 1 of your 5 to post. so scream and cry if you want, its not going to changing anything But you keep acting like the little b that you are, you will get the thread locked down.
  11. use your profile to view your own posts, jump back that, and read what i wrote. You have nothing new to say, and as i said, no one cares about what you say no one cares about. stop spamming the thread to tell other people to stop spamming the thread, and all other such nonsense. If you just read what 5 dudes post, then just read their posts, and dont post at all. that you think my post count matters, is comical, that you think you can tell me what to do or that i would ever acknowledge what you say by obliging is hilarious. Just read and dont post, or get on topic.
  12. your post was handled, swiftly and well, so I wont re-address it again. If you actually believe that, you should learn how to educate yourself, so you can be the 6th, and arent dependent on others.
  13. Given some of your past comments, not sure where you are going with that, but I appreciate the information. I am not a fan of Zombie books in general(fingers crossed on revival ), so have no interest in WD. I was thanking rosen for posting the print run on it, because I have never followed it and didnt want to look it up: http://www.comichron.com/monthlycomicssales.html the sigh was because my LCS tried to get me to buy it when it was new and I said no
  14. nice, I didnt want to go hunt it down on ComicChron, I'm not a WD guy (though my LCS did try to push it on me at the time, sigh)
  15. true, walking dead had a low print run, and not nearly as much exposure before hand. In the post walking dead world, I think independent comics (published by image) are far more likely to have variants. With only a 500 print run on the sketches, versus the 18000 for 1st prints (WD was what 3-4K??), i think it will hold up well. I think the 1:10s are a little bit over priced, but thats just my personal opinion.
  16. I hope so. Despite all the mind numbing arguments on here about the book, I actually: -own several copies of each 1st printing, and 2 of the sketch variant -actually quite like the story -want to see it succeed. If the speculator side of the books sales cools off a bit, it will be nice to see which direction sales are going month to month, and have it start to anchor in and build up.
  17. ok, I tried, if you only want to argue, we can go that route too. 1.)cut the shill some slack and what would i be shill ing? care to tack a claim to that random sentence 2.) he's spouting gibberish no, that would be people arguing whether an unfinished auction is going to be more or less than the last completed buy it now. There is nothing gibberish about posting the top prices currently being bid on RAW books on ebay. If that requires thinking on the part of others to know whether its up or down, so be it, but trying to make FAILed jokes about unfinished auctions is the only gibberish. 3.)he fact that his cover story is slipping ROFLLMAO. a.) what cover story? b.) how is it slipping? did you seriously just unleash a verbal diarrhea of unrelated words, or did you have a point? NEEEEEEEEEEXT....
  18. its the list of the highest prices currently being bid on any raw books on ebay.com in the modern category.....
  19. I can get you one for under $3 bucks, but it would have to be shipped from Canada. it's the shipping that kills everything. if it were under three bucks, id buy 10 more. im always willing to buy these works of art for less then cover price. It is less than cover, but I dont think/know that they have 10 left. Shipping is pretty cheap if its sent non-rush, but yah, you'd almost have to buy 10 to make it worth it.
  20. it was raw books, with 1 bid or more, sorted by value. The prices are what they are, and they are unfinished auctions....so the final price isnt even known. i can make a list of CGC books if you'd prefer. Or only buy it now's where people with less than 10 feedback bought it? once the auctions have finished, then you can comment on whether its trending up or down. People talked about Justice League twelve in here both before and after it flared out. ALL revivals are trending down across the board, raw, cgc, reg, and variant, and its still talked about in this thread. Real time ebay stats are what they are.
  21. BONUS ROUND, let's make it an even dozen. Skipping over some more commonly seen books, 2 lower down interesting ones to watch as well: 11.) Preacher #1 @$17.50 -- 2 bids http://www.ebay.com/itm/PREACHER-1-/230850063217 12.) What IF? (Venom posessed Deadpool) @$11.24 -- 7 bids http://www.ebay.com/itm/If-Venom-Possessed-Deapool-Marvel-2011-One-Shot-1-VF-NM-/280965827750
  22. I can get you one for under $3 bucks, but it would have to be shipped from Canada.
  23. Now, if guys like whizzer could stop showing why a word like n00b was appropriate earlier I will make one last Valiant (comic pun intended) attempt to put the thread back on the rails. So "WE" (i can talk in the third too) will all know who to blame from here on out. Here is a reall top 10, real-time moderns heating up on ebay. (blocking out WD, Chew and ToTs). Raw books only, and only auctions (no buy it nows --for real data). I double star the two with 1 bids cause really they could be debated as virtual BINs with only one bid currently. 1.) Shadowman Black Valiant @ $76 -- 8 bids http://www.ebay.com/itm/SHADOWMAN-BLACK-VALIANT-NEW-2012-SERIES-HOT-/320981820866 2.) Peter Panzerfaust #1 @$38 --5 bids http://www.ebay.com/itm/Peter-Panzerfaust-1-Image-2012-1st-printing-/180974142048 3.) BIRDS OF PREY #8 @$36 --8 bids http://www.ebay.com/itm/BIRDS-PREY-8-NIGHTWING-ORACLE-DATE-RARE-/280964341853 4.) Batman - Harley Quinn @$31 -- 32 bids http://www.ebay.com/itm/BATMAN-HARLEY-QUINN-NM-1ST-PRINT-JOKER-ALEX-ROSS-PAUL-DINI-DC-MANY-PICTURES-/160881491735 5.) Grimm Fairy Tales #1 @$30 -- 1 bid** http://www.ebay.com/itm/Grimm-Fairy-Tales-1-Fiirst-Print-/160882249107 6.) Batman Adventures #12 @$29.95 -- 1 bid** http://www.ebay.com/itm/Batman-Adventures-12-Vol-1-1ST-HARLEY-QUINN-BATGIRL-1993-High-Grade-NM-/261098609661 7.) Morning glories #1 @22.50 -- 8 bids http://www.ebay.com/itm/Morning-glories-1-First-Print-/280966084201 8.) Saga #1 @$20.50 -- 9 bids http://www.ebay.com/itm/Saga-1-1st-Print-Image-Comics-Sold-Out-Brian-K-Vaughan-Fiona-Staples-/370648042245 9.) Sonic The Hedgehog #1 @ $20.50 -- 2 bids http://www.ebay.com/itm/Archie-Comics-Sonic-Hedgehog-original-miniseries-NM-/320982739293 10.) TMNT #24 (vol.3) @$20.01 -- 5 bids http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-Teenage-Mutant-Ninja-Turtles-TMNT-Volume-3-Issue-24-/300777094474
  24. thank you for thinking I am intelligent, thank you for thinking I take the time to care about spelling, and thank you for impressing everyone else you arent talking about/to in the third person. You are a
  25. I am not currently following any revival auctions. I was watching the 1st print mentioned here a page or two ago, and that second print in the post you quoted about. The only other moderns i am watching are two grossly overpriced ToT 9.8s of higher issue number, want to see if/when the sellers give in and price them properly.
