  1. Here's a link for you, Revival 2nd print. I've been following several auctions to see how they close out. Ones with bids are more revealing than overpriced buyitnow's which sometimes catch someone. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/280962733656 $5.50
  2. ! agree, beyond on the use of filling a hole in a run you are selling with something (instead of a gap), I'm not sure how much of a premium they can really command, especially long term. Some of the people on here that buy 10-20 copies of everything swear by multiple printings, but I have never really seen ebay action to justify those huge buys on multiple printings. I cant say i have scoured hard for them, but if someone who is more of an advocate of them wants to post ebay links, I'd be interested to see how high they can get. especially when not paired with a 1st print proper.
  3. yup, if you have an uneven number of prints to assemble a run, its the best way to go. It will still close out, and while taking a slight hit to price, its definitely a better way to go than leaving it out completely.
  4. Best way to answer that question is to look at other comics that sell for more than revival. ToTs is further along in the value category, and has a substantial TV bsaed potential for future gain. Check out its 2nd and third print selling prices, and decide accordingly. Personally, I would view alternate printings as a means to an end, namely moving a set, or getting slightly more for the 1st printings by including them and raising the price slightly.
  5. , nice segway, for at least the last few pages its just dudes looking to stroke each other e-peens. if one coalesces an actual point I'll continue the arguing side, but its good that the people actually wanting to talk comics are starting to out number the "hey look at me" chat room crowd. On your point, I think for books that have started to "turn" and are failing to make higher highs, and settling into a trading range or falling, that it definitely applies. People who are un-willing to "pay up" on a single issue are more likely to bite the bullet if they can dollar cost average it across a run. Fatale, most new 52, and manhattan project probably fall in that category (unleashing more angry nerd arguing now). I'm surprised with ToTs being included in your list. Issue 1 and 2 raw should be very very easy to sell solo from my experience/observations. Issue 3 is starting to get a little pull too.
  6. for all the fussing about on topic vs off topic.....a lot of other people seem determined to treat the thread as a chat room.... REPOST: , yah, i was being lazy too, thought you might have them in history or what not. I'll check it out. That's a good point about the other baby covers. Being part of the "set" of them might give it more legs. I just think of stuff like the Civil War variants, etc, and that they dont hold up well over time.
  7. they have been trending down, and I have two I want to sub, so i appreciate the info. Getting a sale without all the fees is nice

  9. Why dont you, nick, andrew, and everyone else start a chat room, then you can all work together to come up with the best insults possible. try using this thread for talk about modern comics heating up ebay instead
  10. oy, you got me.....one question what/who is my grudge with? , just saying?
  11. double post for chi-bang lostpike, can you post links to some of those $50-$70 dollar sales. How are the other AvX variants doing? I would think people would want to be selling now before the hype of it is finished. do you think there is any long term value there? Generally speaking, event variants dont hold up too strong post the event. I have a copy of Uncanny Avengers 1:300 locked down on release (fingers crossed on condition), and I am planning to sell it ASAP.
  12. i'll quadruple post if they are unrelated subjects...suck it up. quit teleporting yourself back to 2007, YA NOOB I'll call anyone a n00b who acts like one. If you are impressed by the number on someone's name, good on ya mate. Can i ask you a question? Since your comment had: a.) nothing to do with the subject of the thread b.) nothing to do with any of my points What exactly do you think/feel you are doing? Are you trying to impress other people with the fact that you are arguing with me too? If you jsut want to bore me with vacuous nonsense then PM, and spare the thread further derailing. If you are trying to build your e-rep with your e-buddies, up your game son. Put some meat on those bones.
  13. Or ... you could put them up for sale in the FS forum instead of trying to solicit offers in here Please, quit being such a nerd can you say that while attempting to sell a comic book? --just sayin You should through it up on ebay, i'd love to see what it pulls in auction.....
  14. really??? wow. i hadnt seen that would boost. Midtown isnt selling them anymore than i assume? thats a good price to be pulling on raws. impressive
  15. got Batman Adventures 12 in a 9.0-9.2 ish range, raw, for 99 cents. They have been doing strong this summer. A revival i was watching to see, closed out @ $70 for CGC 9.8. That's a good sign for it, if it can hold the line there. With no real rumors to support it in the speculators market, not making lower highs is key to setting a floor. http://www.ebay.com/itm/170908003276 I hope that the book keeps on rolling! ebay Comic charts would be sweet, my search says that beyond the first few gotta have it sales, the one cgc 9.8 before it went for 5 more total out of pocket, but even so, a couple of 70's is a nice jump from the 60s and under before those, and probably a good spot to watch for sentiment. The variants seem to still have some good average value as well. We will see what happens with prices and if/when it gets any extra hype, but it's a good read at cover nonetheless. I screwed up the quotes, but was trying to tell the other guy, nice score on that Batman! Thanks, nice to see sentient life exists here . I agree on the 70, its a bullish sign. There are WAY less on offer, seemed like people pulled a lot of them when the numbers got so low. Obviously without TV rumors it wasnt going to hold the earlier 90s. I have sme 9.8+ candidates to sub, but am going to wait and see where it goes. If it dipped to the 50s I was just going to buy someone elses. 70 is a good line for it to hold if we can see somemore.
  16. So, how did you manage that... ...when you were only born in '79? It's great when a n00b jumps in an posts about one thing they read, without reading the rest of the thread....... I have lots of profiles, with lots of names, for someone furiously claiming I dont know you (though you did change your sig pretty fast andrew), you make a lot of assumptions about who i am, and what is true. Keep going though, this is amusing once you lose the debate and ask other people to move on, yet keep crying like a wee girlie, i see no reason to not keep going how many accounts do you have here btw? Have you considered a career in googling? you are a BEAST. I'm trynig to be a good boy here, but I am going to start docx'ing n00bs if they dont get it under control.

  18. its two n00bs that are keeping it going, they should get a room together, and talk about failed TV careers and failed social networking sites. I am trying to talk moderns with the guys that want to talk moderns.
  19. feel free to quote me again and highlight the part that said that...
  20. Ok, so who has cashed out from a modern that's heating up on ebay? Something modern, ebay, comics, hot, talk about it. A revival i was watching to see, closed out @ $70 for CGC 9.8. 23. I gave you a bunch from thor, and thats just one movie. I can keep going for every other movie, than all the tv shows, then all the rumored tv shows, then the hot series with out shows, then the hot 1st appearances, and then the hot variants and low print one issues....phew I got a list of about 60+ books worth watching, and thats just off the top of my head. Gotta give people time to discuss, (though lots of them are already being discussed).
