  1. cool, no worries, just want to see you maximize your potential profit. No 9.9 has ever been listed on .ca yet, so I am sure it will pull some bids, and definitely worth doing for all your auctions.
  2. the 9.9 PGX for 55 dollars, was a mega deal. Whoever bought it yesterday is lucky they ALSO didnt ship to Canada, or all you would have saw was a sold sign.
  3. the end of the run was announced later and tanked the book. the 9.9 auction sub-title says it all. "the next walking dead?" is what people are chasing with all these Image books. If and when that gets taken off the table for any of them, implosion occurs. ToT is the "next walking dead", if there is one. Revival is a good story, and its variants or ultra high CGCs will sell well. The main books are stalled hard, due to huge print run, and over abundance on ebay.
  4. I meant with the hoarding. Just a tad scary is all. nope, like housing it can only go up, forever. Anything else brings out the righteous indignation
  5. millions of ebay users...as I already said. and its not this thread, its this forum, and its not beginning, it began years ago....
  6. @itsjustryan - I kept looking to see how your 9.9 was doing on ebay and couldnt find it. Then i switched over to .com and found it (I am Canadian, was on .ca) and see that you are only shipping to the US. To me that is just nuts, anyone selling in North America and doing US only and excluding Canada is just slicing a huge chunk(millions) of possible bidders out of the auction. Canada has the highest internet usage/e-commerce purchases per capita in the WORLD, our dollar is currently worth more than the USD, (so buying USD stuff is a bargain right now), AND the USPS has all the same flat-rate services you (and everyone else) use to ship to the US, servicing Canada. Millions of potential bidders, available with the same shipping service you already have in the auction, completely blocked from even seeing it? that's craaaazy.
  7. What are the print runs? #1A = 18,000
  8. it is chill, you posted a link, so did I, here's another http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Revival-1-Actual-Scan-item-Sold-Out-Seeley-Norton-/160873073585 If you read my earlier posts, I did say that the 3rd printing announcement helped it crack $10.00. But there are still lots of 9.99 ones stalled out... http://www.ebay.ca/itm/REVIVAL-1-1st-PRINT-NM-M-/160870762848 http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Revival-1-2012-Image-Comics-/251139473915 http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Revival-1-2012-Image-Comics-/261088422944 http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Revival-1-2012-Image-Comics-/261089154012 http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Revival-Image-Comics-1-First-Printing-NM-/280950166296 and yes to the other person, there are 6 days left. so? the people that will pay $10+ for revival #1, arent the kind to wait to the last minute to bid....Just look at any of the other trending books. Better yet, throw any of them up for 4 bucks and see how long they go bidless.
  9. good point, can you PM me the links to the news story about AMC optioning it, and the interview with the writer stating he arranged with them to do the screenplays at the same time as the comics..... oh wait....NVM...k, explain to me again how they compare?? and why this exists with out bids..... http://www.ebay.ca/itm/REVIVAL-1Image-Comic-1st-Printing-NEW-/251139287848
  10. +1 especially if its SS. My wage per hour multiplied by the time to get an SS signed and slabbed, and the possibility it doesnt come back 9.8 = easily worth it to pay someone else to do. Especially on books that have fallen out of favor, or cooled off, and are less than $100, or closer to $50 than $100....that's profit for them, and profit for me.
  11. "Jack: What is she talkin' about?!" -Billy Madison
  12. For the record, Ryan, my wink meant "great score...so GIVE them to me". (thumbs u Plus I was quoting, Friday. Not that anyone here has seen that movie anyway.
  13. :D thank you, good to know some people got to see it before it was removed.
  14. I am still trying to understand why having a rational discussion about what is or isnt happening to a book's price is either anger inducing or sadness inducing talking about something can neither change nor create. Whatever is, IS. Pretending its something else, or hiding from it is just silliness. All that being said, the 3rd printing news does seem to be giving it another shove to try and break and hold $10. I think as long as the new ones keep selling out it, it will continue to power along. But should it not be bounded at the upper end by Thief of Thieves, Peter Panzerfaust, etc, where the dream of the "next walking dead" is more reasonable on the back of possible shows. Someone posted here saying the revival prices were un-warranted and all chaos breaks out, and the thread ends up being cut/mod'd. Is that with this forum is then? an ebay boosting site? Power Lunch on CNBC, where you arent allowed to talk about something falling, heaven forbid, lest you CAUSE it to happen. Or, can people have a civil discussion on here about what is or isnt happening in the market to a given book. I have horses in the race, I havent sent them to be pressed subbed yet, cause I am waiting on a few other arrivals to send with them. I'm not super keen on what I am seeing in the raw #1 1st print market, or the 9.8 slabbed category. Those 9.9s will sell gang-busters though. And my 500 print run variants are selling raw for more than I paid, so cant really lose slabbing those.
  15. no, not at all. I posted the ebay links. There are two >$125, both over two weeks ago. Tons now closing out in the $80-$90 range. The 1st prints had stalled hard at $10, but seem to be breaking through now on the 3rd print announcement. Doesnt mean i dont want my slabs back ASAP.
  16. is it safe to assume you are trying to get the thread cut again. Dont be mad, jsut move on PS cover minus 20% for the 1st prints, $100 per/free shipping MileHigh for the SDCCs. smoochies. Neither has ever sold for less raw on fee-bay, and they are coming back at least 9.8s......
  17. Reason, and Observation isnt bad. My books havent even been slabbed yet, so its not like i want it to go down. Why is it, that anything but extreme optimism, and everything is always going to go up forever-ism gets people so bent out of shape?
  18. First, thanks - my previous first post was wiped out when the thread was cut, but its probably better its gone. Though my CNBC analogy was epic and very true. Second, yes I mean to people backing up the truck. Third, kudos to that. I think it has a greater writer, and its a good story, and its on my pull list. But I am likely only going to hold one slabbed CBLDF long term. I dont like the fact that 1st prints raw have stalled, and 9.8s have fallen. variants and multiple prints cant hold a book long term, if interest in the first print isnt strong, imo.
  19. I am fully aware of what can and cant be pressed out, and if you think they arent pressed, the owner is welcome to correct me. That wasnt really my point though, I was more commenting on the rarity of the book, regardless of grade. I have 2 copies of 1st print, and 2 copies of CBLDF going out to be pressed and subbed. I'll be happy to post them here if they comic back better than 9.8. Dont assume post count on a certain forum dictates what someone knows, or has. You look at threads like think tank and mind the gap, where people are trying to paint a rosie pictures that prices could still spike later. Books can and do launch hot, and then cool off. For instance, my comment on 9.8s wasnt just random opinion, but ebay fact: Aug 8th $132 19 bids http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Revival-1-CGC-9-8-NM-MT-First-Graded-Copy-SOLD-OUT-Image-Near-Mint-Mint-/221090966988 Aug 21st $81 15 bids http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Revival-1-CGC-9-8-HAND-IMAGE-SOLD-OUT-HOT-NEW-SERIES-/110937393655
  20. Probably not. Sorry, man. But I can give you "a dolla' and some envelopes". 18,000 print run, triple 9.9s from one presser....9.8s already stalling and falling on ebay. Only variants pushing up, no movie/tv rumors to give it legs. I think this one has danger written all over it.
