  1. Maybe Fiona will sell you a flash drive with some covers
  2. Not really hard to find, plenty of slabbed 9.0's and above starting around the $150-200 range.
  3. Traded a slabbed Batman #2 yellow label for a couple Justice League slabs! Fast shipment and no problems cross shipping.
  4. I would love to see the grader notes on this one!
  5. PGX is tarnished forever. Doesn't matter who owns it. Thats why I said to change names. Personally, I wouldn't be interested if I knew it had any ties to the old PGX I 100% agree
  6. CGC will now offer restoration services then the books go straight to slabbing. That's what I picked up from the link. Time to dump some graded books
  7. Guess that whole impartial part of being an independent grading service is going out the window... It will be interesting to see what happens long term, the next year would probably be a good time for a competing grading service to enter the market.
  8. On modern blue label submissions I am usually pretty anal and try not to miss any details. If i find the tiniest flaw then I wont submit it. So far my results have great. I use a tactical led light since it's white and bright as hell; and check every inch at an angle as well with it. I also seem to get better results from covers with a lot of white or lighter colors as well.
  9. ] Couldn't the same be said for say Avengers #4? The re introduction of cap in marvel continuity hardly counts as an origin imo The book obviously is a little hard to find and I think a lot of the more casual collectors overlook it because they simply don't know it exist as the 1st Justice League and instead are more worried about the marvel boat that left port years before the avengers movie was cool.
  10. Being primarily a DC collector I am glad most collectors in our subculture are chasing marvel keys IMO B&B28 is a smart investment right now.
  11. Pretty sure publishers will stop creating variants when people stop buying them; either way the industry won't die
  12. For the simplest explaination computers are the reason you don't see word ballons and text on more original art pages today. Ah, that does explain it. So, for a page from circa 1980, did the artist just give the letterer the completed page and then the letterer just hand-drew (or maybe stenciled?) the bubble and hand-lettered the letters on to the original page? Yeah and they would also sometimes paste the completed word ballons on the page. I prefer the look of older pages I hate how original covers and title pages don't look complete today.

  14. I don't recall the name but does anyone remember these little space guys about the size of j.i. joes with magnets on their feet? early to mid 80's
  15. I called today and they are grading economy books from early June as of today.
  16. For me it depends if I like the artist and if it is one of a select few titles. Even then I usually wait a few months for prices to drop. For most of my monthly books I won't ever consider purchasing variants.
  17. I just received these books back from CGC. I was expecting the GA to score a 9.6 but was suprised the NM didn't score a 9.8. Oh well.. Sorry in advance, my scanner sucks so I have to use digital photos. upload pictures upload pictures
