  1. Excited to hear how Sunday went for you. You find anything cool?
  2. If you arent a WD fan way are you interested in the last issue? Is if just from a spec point of view - hoping that you and make money down the road? If so probably best to steer clear. I believe prices have peaked on the 1st print and are back down. The SDCC variant is high priced on the secondary market at this point so unless you picked them up at the con for the price Skybound was selling them for there's no money to make on it. The 2nd prints of 193 will be all over and wont be hard to find so prices will stay near cover. Now if spec isnt why you are interested in 193, then there's 192 issues before it of great reading and maybe it is good to pick up a copy
  3. Get to all the pics of the Cosplayers (who are blocking the walkways and should be banned from entry to the exhibit hall)
  4. I get that. I like my comics in high grade as well. I do the shelf check/swap as well. For myself I’ve found that I get reader copies from my LCS. (Been shopping with them since 2001 and like to make sure they get my business. They are a small shop and only deal in comics. No gaming/cards etc.) and books I want to grade I’ll preorder a couple copies from a place like DCBS. Normally I find the books they send me can hit a 9.8. Though I spend a little more by purchasing a couple extra copies of a book I find it still cheaper than getting from guys that offer a 9.8 subscriptions Granted I know my method might not right for anyone else but I’ve found that it’s right for me.
  5. If you don’t have LCS or one that you want to support there’s always the large online retailers. As for not being forced to preorder I get it, people shouldn’t have to. But it helps shops/retailers gauge how much product to order. They get guaranteed sales and are able to order for walk in traffic. Sucks that there are times books heat up and people buy all the product and there are some that can’t get the issue right away. If person who reads a book religiously wants to make sure they get a copy. Preorder. Be it at a local shop or a online retailer. Typically preordering also save you money as shops provide the preordered product a discount. But you know this.
  6. Best way to assue you get the books you are wanting/reading is to pre order. Easy as that. I have a pull box at my LCS and also preorder books online 2 months in advance. I have never had a problem getting a WD book. I walked into my LCS on Wednesday, picked up my books. They were out of 193's on the shelf by the time I made it in. My best mate doesnt have a pull box so he missed out on 193. I gifted him my copy (after reading it of course) to him that night.
  7. Great last issue and even better heartfelt letter and 'thank you' to close it out. As sad as I am that this amazing comic has ended I will cherish the friendships I have made through this comic. People I probably would have never met if it wasn't for this book. Remember.... Always
  8. This is going to be good. Really can’t wait!
  9. Thought I saw on Rick Remember's twitter thread a few days ago that the team is currently working on upcoming issues. There was some art he shared....no date of when next issue is out though.

  12. You should read the comics instead of just trying to find something to flip and make money on. Die is a good read, and with D&D back on the rise, there's a lot of interest in it. Oblivion Song did start off slow but I have enjoyed the world building. I can't speak to Pearl or Naomi as I havent read them.
  13. They still need to ship them....could sit on the books for a couple more weeks
  14. Grading/QC on June 17th - looks like 4 rejects out of 25 prescreen 9.8's
  15. What I have found is that my CC isnt charged until CGC has graded the books and knows how many 9.8's and how many rejections. I have a Modern Prescreen that has been in "scheduled for grading" since April 16th and my card has yet to be charged.
  16. This can be said for most of the threads in the modern section. Unless people can make a quick buck it isn’t talked about.
  17. Really surprised there isnt much chatter on here about issue 191.
