It appears that the roll-out on 3/22 was a beta test. Maybe these forums were not part of, or chose not to be a part of that beta test.
I'm almost positive that the update will come during April's VirtualComicCon, cause all kinds of havoc, and thus put the final nail in that particular coffin of growing board participation. The updates don't roll out automatically. We have discretion on when to apply them. We also usually trial them on other smaller CCG boards first and upgrade CGC last. Might want to request an upgrade free weekend from @Scott =)

It's just a a setting that allows us to reduce the icons on a mobile device so we don't take up too much of the screen real-estate with controls.
I just added font size for the mobile view. We'll see if that generates some feedback that it's too much, but for now it's there.

Hour by hour resolve firmly, like a Roman and a man, to do what comes to hand with correct and natural dignity, and with humanity, independence, and justice. Allow your mind freedom from all other considerations. Then get your knob out.
This is to inform you that according to paragraph 3 sub-section a, bullet point iv of the code of moderation I will not be laughing at that. At all. Not. at. all. Nope. It's a nope from me.

There's some kind of joke waiting to be made about playing the straight man here, but I think it's better for me if I just back away from the innuendo slowly and calmly.

I've just had a PM from Ryan @Foley Arch. He said his custom title was "I've got a massive wiener". Can you put it back?
No. Once a massive wiener has been removed, it cannot be put back.

You didn't gather input on where we thought you might want to stick it.
That's already been decided. The custom field for long custom titles is at the bottom of the profile card that appears next to your post.
Go ahead. I dare you.
heh heh

By the way, I added a custom field, so if your custom title was long and no longer fit in the title field of the new boards, there is a place you can stick it.
So... that didn't sound right...

Is there a prize for the cheekiest fake request Arch?
Mmmmmm.... maybe....

Just a quick reminder, that if you had one and it's missing, you can PM me with what it was to get it put back.

I'd just try clearing your cache and cookies and logging back in.

I disagree.
If I'm advertising a book for $1,000 and will accept PayPal, check, money order, bank wire, etc....why should someone who chooses a fee-less method be force to absorb the fee that's baked in for PayPal.
I fully understand that accepting PayPal (or any other fee-based payment method) is the responsibility of the seller. I totally get that. However, if you've priced all associated fees into your price and someone wants to use a method that doesn't cost the seller those fees, it's simply a courtesy to not charge them those fees.
just my opinion...
Basically, PayPal has an agreement with you. That agreement says, hey - you can use our service to sell goods, and get the benefit of buyers who are more comfortable using PayPal as a payment method. The reason you get access to those people is because we provide all kinds of neat stuff like buyer protection, etc.. What we require of you is - if you want access to our customers, then you can't charge our customers differently. The 3% is your cost, and you should be HAPPY to pay it, because we delivered a customer to you who might not otherwise have considered buying from you.
So their intent is this - if you don't want to absorb the cost of PayPal fees as a kind of "commission" to us for giving you a buyer, then you can't use our service -- because it hurts out business to make things more expensive for buyers by passing the fees on, and therefore gives a benefit to YOUR business (more buyers) for free. In their minds, and in their agreement - you are the one benefiting from a bigger market of buyers. And you hsould pay for it.

I've been "reporting" them as they've popped-up over the last few days. For future reference, does reporting work or is it better to make a separate thread pointing out these occurrences?
Reporting works. It made an entry in the moderation queue. I may need to check some permissions and define how to handle them (i.e. move them someplace like we do for posts, or just delete them). That may be why no action was taken.

Hm,
I can see there are a bunch of events spammed in there. Cleanup will be a little more extensive. Stand by.

I can't find a "site issue" thread, so I'll try here.
Is it me or has the calendar been hacked? Look at the entry for March 13.(at the bottom of most pages)
Hi,
Thanks for pointing that out. It isn't hacked, it's just a spammer making spamming posts. The event is removed and the member has been banned.

This all sounds pretty lame probably, but I still don't know what function the leader board serves.
It's on "ok" feature, in my opinion. It would be better if it weren't called a leaderboard and/or didn't count up like for each person.
It's the "scoring" of people I think that causes people to game the system. I think it's more valuable when it shows you posts that were liked alot than when it counts up liker for each poster. That helps you discover great posts that you missed because it was inside a thread you weren't reading.

Which is it? Can I get a feel or can I get a bit of a flavor? Inquiring minds want to know.
Texture, flavor, color and temperature are all important aspects of enjoying a new software release.

Why would you need a limit of how much stuff you like? It's survival of the fittest...
I don't keep track of how many likes I've used, nor is there a warning or countdown to use likes sparingly...
Nothing worse than someone giving me feedback and I go to thank, laugh, cry or like and I end up having to quote anyway...
The reasons have been covered a few times, but regardless, I upped the limit again.

It's impossible to quantify. My desire for validation varies from day to day.
See now, that would make a good custom title, too!

Any update?
No. They don't really update the release date until it's VERY close. When they first announced working on 4.3 (which is when they say the fix will be included) they said "early 2018". It won't get more specific than that until it's almost ready to launch. You can get a bit of a flavor for their progress on that release by watching here:

The problem with you is that every other post is a good custom title. You should just start ghost writing them for other people.
