  1. Architecht's post in Registry Images Not Showing In Signature was marked as the answer
There was a problem on the server that generates the image. We have fixed that, but the boards have cached the broken image, and may hold on to it for up to 3 days.
It SHOULD fix itself as your cached broken image expires and it goes and fetches a good copy.
If it doesn't for whatever reason, you should be able to go grab the UBB code, delete the image that's in your signature, past the UBB code in again, and save it - that should work... or you can just wait it out.
  2. Architecht's post in Notifications was marked as the answer
So you have two choices - you can unfollow those people you don't want notifications about, or you can stop getting notifications about people you follow.
    Unfollow people
Go to Settings --> Manage Follow Content
    That brings you here: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/followed/
Scroll down, and on the left menu under "other" you can find "members"
On that screen, you can use the "change preferences" to unfollow people, OR you can use the select check box to do that to a bunch of people at once.

Stop notifications about people I follow
Go to settings --> Notifications settings
That brings you to here: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/notifications/options/
Then scroll down, and find the "someone I am following makes a post" and turn it off.

  3. Architecht's post in Polls was marked as the answer
I don't see enough detail here to know how to help. Can you describe exactly what doesn't work when you try it?
  4. Architecht's post in New posts in a PM thread was marked as the answer
The dot/star on the PMs work in the pop up you get from the envelope icon. They don't work on the full inbox list. This bug/feature request has been filed with Invision. Thanks for being one of the folks who spotted this.
  5. Architecht's post in Get rid of the "Like" button. was marked as the answer
This feature seems to be growing in popularity, so we'll likely be keeping it.
  6. Architecht's post in Board History - Hyperlinks to posts was marked as the answer
Redirects are in place at this point. However, the old links will only work when going to the the start of a thread. If it's a link to a particular comment deeper in a thread, then it may not work.
  7. Architecht's post in Make the font size (of thread titles) smaller, at least for laptop viewing was marked as the answer
We adjusted this a while back, but just to follow up.
There are now three themes on the board - all of them have had the fonts adjusted downward. Two of them are responsively designed, so they'll resize on a small screen - with a choice for larger and smaller fonts inside the posts themselves. One is forced to desktop, so that if you prefer to be able to zoom in and out on the pages, you can. That has the effect of allowing you to shrink the fonts significantly for more of an "at a glance" view.
  8. Architecht's post in Search Icon was marked as the answer
This seems to be some odd behavior when at only particular screen sizes where the menu is close to wrapping. I think we're going to reduce some options out of the menu to simplify it. That will likely avoid the problem for most screen sizes / resolutions.
  9. Architecht's post in Why... (image related, too long for this space) was marked as the answer
Because these boards are served using secure links (https) that encrypts the traffic, we have to also encrypt links that users put on the site. If we don't, your browser would pop up a warning that only SOME of the content on the page was encrypted.
In order to avoid that warning, the boards caches the images that are linked so that it can serve them as encrypted data.
Why do we do this? It has some speed advantages, and some search engine optimization advantages. Google lists your higher if you use https.
  10. Architecht's post in Can't post in for sale was marked as the answer
You can't post in directly in the marketplace area. You have to choose a sub-forum by age.
    Also, read this:

  11. Architecht's post in Board name was marked as the answer
It will migrate over here. You may need to log out and back in, then click the link to the boards to make it work.
  12. Architecht's post in Picture posting linked to CAF was marked as the answer
I'm not familiar with the restrictions that CAF may or may not have implemented, so I don't have a good answer to this one. I don't think it's anything on our end.
  13. Architecht's post in Have the picture size limits changed again? was marked as the answer
We didn't change anything, so I'm not sure what the issue is here. Maybe it's related to the occasional timeouts we have been seeing. Perhaps this is just what you see if you get a timeout while uploading.
  14. Architecht's post in Edit Appearance setting was marked as the answer
Hm. I haven't had this issue. It sticks for me...
  15. Architecht's post in Quickest way to go from reading in 1 section to a diff section? was marked as the answer
We've been talking about updating that jump-to menu, but it's a plugin and we didn't make it. I'm not sure how much time/effort it would take to change, but if CCG approves it we might do it.
I agree with the general observation that less clicks is better.
By the way @Aman619 it's not quite what you are asking, but the quickest way to review multiple boards is to just build an activity stream with the things you can about, and read them all in one big list. I get that it isn't really the same thing -- just mentioning it as an option.
  16. Architecht's post in Did this forum open up to all email domains? was marked as the answer
I'm not sure I understand the question. If you have an older account and you somehow ended up with a brand new account that doesn't reflect your previous activity, then you may need to post in the Account Merge Request forum.
  17. Architecht's post in pasting an excel doc? was marked as the answer
I haven't tried that yet, but when you copy/paste things from MS Office, it does tend to try to carry some formatting over with it that isn't necessarily web friendly.
Below is a spreadsheet slice I am copy/pasting from Google Sheets.

    Spreadsheet       1 a 4 5 2 b 4 6 3 c 4 7 4 d 4 8 5 e 4 9 6 f 4 10 7 g 4 11 8 h 4 12 9 i 4 13
  18. Architecht's post in Are notifications down again? was marked as the answer
We have twice run into problems where the email service we were using saw something suspicious in email notifications and suspended sending. But that's it. So for the most part everyone should be getting email notifications. If you aren't you'll want to triple-check your notification settings and/or check you spam folder.
  19. Architecht's post in What is The Current Status of the Board Migration was marked as the answer
Migration is complete. I have not heard of or seen these issues before.
You have a strange habit (I think) of browsing the board when you aren't logged in. I believe I've heard you mention that before. Guests see a cached version of the site and are slower to see updates for performance reasons. Is this your issue?
Also, why are you browsing the site so much when you aren't logged in.
  20. Architecht's post in Did Arch quit? was marked as the answer
Nope, but the intensive care I've been putting in is probably going to keep waning as the urgency wears off and people are better able to answer their own questions. You can always hit something with a mention or send a PM if it needs urgent attention.
  21. Architecht's post in Google Chrome not working on this site? was marked as the answer
I use chrome for everything and haven't had any issues.
  22. Architecht's post in How do I eliminate the double spacing? was marked as the answer
This is just the default behavior on the new boards. You CAN make a linebreak with no double space
    by
    using
    shift-enter
But otherwise, you get automatic paragraph spacing.
  23. Architecht's post in Add the Thread Title to Each Post in a Thread was marked as the answer
The thread title is in the URL bar, so functionally, you can know where you are without taking up screen real estate.
There aren't any easy plugins for altering this. I don't believe we'll be making this change.
  24. Architecht's post in Make PMs go to first unread, not last post was marked as the answer
This is apparently a bug / "feature request" which is a bit silly to me, but I filed it with Invision. IF you click on the PM from the notifications pop up then you go straight to new posts in a pm thread. If you do it from the full screen inbox, you don't.
Invision hasn't said when/if they'll fix this, but since the function is already there it seems like a dead-simple fix to me. Maybe we'll fix it ourselves if they don't do anything about it, but for now it's stalled.
  25. Architecht's post in Introduce 'Keylines' Around Quotes was marked as the answer
    This is done.
