Board History - Hyperlinks to posts 1 1

I am wondering if the migration will patch historical post links from the old boards (which are soon to taken down)

For example, I bookmarked BUTM's google search post from the NOOB guide to use it for searching the old boards but the URL numbering doesn't seem to jive and if that's the case I'm not sure how all of our old internal board links will find the "new board" posts after migration?

On the old boards the link looked like this -

Today it looks like this -

Redirects are in place at this point. However, the old links will only work when going to the the start of a thread. If it's a link to a particular comment deeper in a thread, then it may not work.

To clarify - This question is NOT about how the google search needs to be reconstructed to navigate the new boards (I probably should have picked a different example post to avoid any confusion on that)

This question pertains to internal links  to other board threads/posts and whether they'll work in the future.

Thanks for the link, I think I saw that before but thought I'd mention it again.

 I'm just not sure how it will re-read & re-create the correct landing when we did stuff like change titles (which aren't adjustable on the new boards) I suppose the logic would be to take the page one post one title for the new url naming, actually you can see that in my example - they took Swick's title. 

Do we know what the page defaults will be for posts per page?  Because my example was post specific, more than half the people who posted internal links posted to pages....at this point we don't even know what the posts/page default is yet...there's a poll somewhere on preference.

That's a good point. I suspect those links will remain as broken as they always were for me on the old boards.

I always loved being linked to page 47 of a 6 page thread.
