Quick question: Can a book with a missing back cover get a green label (does that fall in to your category 1)? Or does that get a blue label + INCOMPLETE designation, probably limited to a 0.5?
Interesting question. I always thought that they were blue label incomplete 0.5s, but I would love to hear other opinions.

5/7 on 3's and 15/17 on 2s....was just one of those games...Ok. For all you old guys like me. Dropped 45 PTs sat night in next to final rec league bball game2nd most points I've ever scored in any game!
Holy Smokes. How many 3s?
my best game ever was 2006...17/20 on 3's for 51 pts...
15/17 on 2s. Wow - that is an incredible percentage for that many shots. So, were the vast majority of your shots pull up jumpers or post up?
of course he was playing against 8 year olds.....
We lost 116-80. Played the "best" and undefeated team (several former college players). Just had one of those games
Sounds like you might need to do some serious recruiting before next season.

Hey G.A.tor
Given the current market, what book do you think is more valuable (i.e. If the books had the exact same grade, page quality and general appearance): blue label Tec 28 or blue label Tec 35?
These days 35 has surpassed 28 both in demand and price.
Thanks Rick. (thumbs u

!!!!!
i have been looking high and low for my dream lower grade copy of this book. This picture doesn't do it justice. The book has amazing gloss and really glows. Thank you to all the boardies who have put up with my pm's over the past two plus years as i have been looking for a copy.
Congratulations. Now you can sell me your undercopy.

G.A.tor,
So all things being equal, how much does a books pedigree increase the value of a book? (i.e. two books with same grade, but one book is a Larson copy.)
I believe it absolutely is more desirable in most every case but I never seen a consistent % value increase.
It also depends on the pedigree. And the comic. Some of the less collected comics can get a bigger bump just so someone can say they have a Church or Okajima comic.
That's a good point. Some of the easier to find pedigrees -- Bethlehem, say -- don't seem to bring much of a premium on more common or less desirable books. I've bought copies of such books where the seller didn't even note (or maybe didn't notice) the pedigree. There was someone a while ago arguing that pedigrees don't matter except for the top three or four (Church, Okajima, SF), but I would disagree with that.
Thanks everyone for your feedback regarding pedigrees. It helps answer my question and confirms what I was thinking.

What are the other four?
I know the Joker books are Tec 45 and I think 76. I would have to do some research for the others.

She may not be the prettiest girl at the dance, but...she's still my date (at least until I can woo a hotter girl - then she gets kicked to the curb!).
Congratulations Court. Oh how I love me a Tec 33.

Just picked up this old label beauty. Not quite pre-Robin, but...I don know where else it would go!
Congratulations Court. This is a beautiful copy.

The boards seem a little slow these days. Are you guys actually working at work??? Only got a couple things today.
First up is a real hard to find Speed Comics #26. A great American flag/Nazi cover. These Speeds in the nimber 20's seem real hard to find.
I have always loved the cover to Speed Comics #26. (thumbs u I keep telling myself I need to get this book, but I agree, these issues in the 20s seem really hard to find.

upgrade to an 8.0 from my 7.0
Peter that is a fantastic looking 8.0. Congratulations on the pickup.
-
I owned a 7.0 once upon a time (2002 or so), but sold it to fund other purchases. Finally back in the club with a 3.0 that cost more than what I got when I sold the 7.0. Ha.
I wasn't actively looking for an AF 15, but I saw this one and kept going back to it over and over again until I finally pulled the trigger. IMO, the perfect example of "buy the book, not the grade". They eye appeal here is simply off the charts.
Why is that only a 3.0

Picked up a bunch of cool stuff in New Orleans...
Any Pre-Robins?
Nope. Lot's of Post-Robins though.
Thanks for letting me know. Great haul.
