Love it! Great pic.
Welcome to the CGC boards.
+1
That is an incredible group shot.

This came back from CGC today.
That is a great looking copy of a very hot book. Congrats.

I got this late last year and just got it back from grading recently. Really happy to have it. Bought the collection (through a comic shop owner) from a man whose father had bought all the comics as a child in the Kansas City area. I did read it before sending it off and the story is pretty charming, but Batman being lost on a country road and asking for directions in full uniform? Pretty sure I would not have answered the door!
Love the back story. Great looking copy. Congrats on the book and the grade.

Peter, I just noticed the blue Tec 34 cgc 6.5 in your signature line. Congrats

GLWTS Peter. This is exceptional looking copy.

A pair of 1.8s ( 29 and 31) in upcoming CL auction. Shame both brittle.
It is a total shame because otherwise they are nice looking copies.

yeah picked it up on the boards a few weeks back. i was all lined up to make a run at (and win) the 33 in the heritage auction and then this popped up and i couldnt resist.
It really is a nice looking 1.5. Congrats!

Well. Here is my first entry into the club. Excited and frightened to enter this realm of collecting . This may tie with Tec 31 for me for the best batman cover.
Excellent colors on that copy. Book looks beautiful.

I am a big fan of Guardineer's work on all the Pre Robins. 28 is my personal favorite, but I am probably in the minority here.
No, you are not!
If you are referring to only the pre-Robin non-Batman Detective covers, then it's also all about issue #28 for me.
Of course, I could subconsciously be channeling the fact that this is the all-important 2nd appearance of the Batman, and possibly the toughest to find out of all of the pre-Robin Detectives.
Yes, I was referring to only the Pre Robin non Batman covers (28, 30, 32, 34). I think you are on to something in that I may be influenced by the fact that it is Batman's second appearance and that it is tough to find. I feel so lucky to have a copy.

Hi Harold,
You know that you want to bid on that PGX 1.0
Better than .5 I think when the book is coverless it should get a .5. IMO when the book has at least 50% of a front cover it should get 1.0
I wish i could find a copy of Action 1 in that shape in that holder dont you Just take it out of holder and you would sell as a poor 1.0 all day/night and in your dreams
If I remember correctly, doesn't overstreet say a comic can be missing the back cover and still be graded as a "fair" as long as the rest of the book is complete?

I wonder if the Gators can shock the college football world??... nah...we may as well just crown Alabama now and move on.Yup, clearly the elite of college football this year.
Western Michigan vs. Alabama for the national championship?
You never know. If Alabama turns the ball over multiple times......

I need to start sharing my bats stuff on here.

I will take EP for the most part, but it has to be professional. I am leery of EP books over 9.0
