How long after Tec 36 was Tec 38 and Bats 1 ?? How long before was Tec 27 ?? (yes I could google but whats the fun in asking someone who knows off the top of their head)
Tec 36 was February 1940
Tec 38 was April 1940
Bats 1 was April 25th 1940 (there is an advertisement in Tec 39)
Tec 27 was April 1939
I think I am correct on these, but somebody should google to make sure.

Tape on cover and interior cover scares me ( eventual staining ).
I would agree with this.

I could not find a Gator Kudos thread, although Rick is so well known and well respected, it is unlikely he needs one.
Anyway, I had the honor and privilege to meet Rick for the first time today at the Baltimore Comic Convention.
He is honest and friendly. In truth, I probably took up too much of his time.
I bought my first book of the day at New Force and after I agreed to buy the book, Rick lowered the price. You can't ask for a more honest person than Rick.
If someone has a link to a kudos thread for Gator, I would be happy to post over there. If not, then please accept this as my kudos to Rick.
Any picture of what you bought?

could it of been after grading than water damage?

not sure what i think, or care, about the value of a resto 27 in 10 years. but i am darn happy to be a member of this club. the 30 has since been placed in a proper cgc holder. and ive posted the 37 before but its the pride and joy of my collection. why not show it off!!
Cool comics. 37 was my first to get. Congrats.
Awesome books. I have always thought Tec 30 is underrated.
-
could it possibly scrape back into a 2.0ish blue holder?
I don't think so at this point.

I'm sure he is. I remember those too.
CC has about 5-6 books (preRobin and early Tecs) listed. ALL of them have Trimmed on label. Which issues did not have Trimmed on label ?
The Tec 27 and Bats 1 did NOT have trimming listed on the label.
I know for a fact that the 31 and 33 did not have trimmed on the label either.
-J.
Jay, the 33 had trimmed in the notes section on the label. I would post a picture, but I cannot because it is a CBCS book.
Here ya go:

Oh no, man
this is not happening: destruction af national heritage
only for greed. SHAME on these Guys ...
Yup, shame on IGB, shame on Voldy, and shame on the entity financing this greedy enterprise.
Maybe now some of the misguided apologists who have defended these IGB books will finally understand what the detractors have been saying all along.
I have seen many Voldy slabs where trimming wasn't disclosed quite a while back.
They graded some books from a bound volume that were trimmed but did not disclose that on the label either.
At the time, apologists said "well it's from a bound volume and everyone knows those are trimmed."
To which I replied: "Even if that were true, so?"
-J.
Jay, are referring to the Bob Kane books where some labels listed trimming and some didn't?

This thread just took an interesting turn of events.

Nice Keith! Congrats. Was wondering who grabbed those!
I picked up another copy of 8 the other day too. Not the best shape but I just love that cover.
Thanks Andrew. This two books look even better in person. I was really lucky to get these as #3 has been so hard to find.
