  1. What's the due-date on that RRP? Dropped hints at my LCS yesterday that I was interested but not sure when it's expected. As to the story, it's one of the few comics that seems like it knows how its story plays out from the beginning. Putting more content into the first two issues than the first 6 or so of other series.
  2. And in order to set "immediate payment" you need to be at a certain status, I believe.
  3. That! I readily admit that my copies have some CB creases and such, but even with the gloss on the eBay ones, the detached covers has to drop it some, right? -- dave
  4. . I passed over several copies of Hoax Hunters #0 and #1 at C2E2 b/c I thought cover was too high.
  5. I haven't checked the others, but Jimmy Olsen and Super Heroes are crazy. Both of the Jimmy's have a detached cover at the top staple and the Super Heroes is not "high grade" unless 7-ish is high. Mayhaps it's time to ditch sell my copies....
  6. No...the seller is crazy. If he had no reserve on it then he might get more bidders or better offers. The seller deals with SPORTS CARDS and has no idea of comic pricing or how graded books do on EBay. I would write the seller and explain this to him before you make a bid on it. I also wonder where this "comicdome" is that the seller speaks of. Sounds like a cool place. Is it like the Bio-Dome?
  7. Hey other Dave - Did this combination flea market/comic show happen to be in northern-ish Illinois? -- dave It was, at the Wolf Flea Market in Palatine. They've been advertising this as Mighty-con for the last 8 months or so. I went to the first Mighty-con in August of 2012, and I think the number of vendors was the same. I was there, too. I think I've been to every Mighty Con so far. It's nice in that you get vendors together in the same place, but usually the same vendors every time it runs. The FREE price was very nice, though. Somehow I missed that YTLM - nice grab. I don't remember picking up much, but a couple good buys. -- dave I got 4 issues of Sixth Gun at cover, if that counts as a score. Depends on which ones... 9, 12, 14, 19 I also bought issue 2 for $12, probably a VF copy -NM at best. Yes, I saw that #2 sitting there. Wasn't sure if I wanted it or not in that condition - would just be for flipping. I also put back a couple Peter Panzer #2 b/c of condition. Was that the booth the YLTM was at? I picked up a couple Teen Titans #44, a DC Comics Present #26, a Jimmy Olsen #134, a New Mutants Annual #2 for a quarter...can't think of what else right now. -- dave

  11. That's why it's the perfect place for secret meetings.
  12. And here comes the BOOM! Late last year, you could pick up a 9.8 for $60-$80. Definitely moving to the top of my "to find" list at Megacon. The on-site grading and Modern pricing tier doesn't hurt either.
  13. It will be interesting. And while possibly not on radars yet, X-Factor #5 is Apocalypse's 1st app/cameo, depending on who you ask and how many they own.
  14. Fantastic. I should know in 9 days what mine is. I only have the 1; sell or hold?
  15. I bought a couple mid-issues of Saga from Neil. The comics were packed well and arrived in the stated condition. Thanks! -- dave
  16. If I'm going to continue selling here, might as well. Leave it all - good or bad. -- dave

  18. Huh never had an issue with their packaging. Though I've only ever orderd a couple times online. If you are local to a Graham, you can purchase comics online and pick them up in-store. Forget if it's only a select few locations or all of them. Saves on shipping fees and shipping mishaps.
  19. Question - While looking up print runs on Comichron, sometimes the issue has a * behind it: Look at #40 - Saga 1* http://www.comichron.com/monthlycomicssales/2012/2012-03.html I can't find out what the asterisk means; anyone know?
  20. agreed. Image #1's were the things to pick up last year, not this year. There are no SAGAH's being released this year. Akin to a thought I was having with all of the Image "hot"-ness of late. Was 2012 just a great year for new series, or was there a similar spike for 2010 or 2011 new titles that eventually died as a series went on and/or more copies went to market?
  21. Adrian helped me finish off an early FF trilogy. Nice books, nice price, nice guy. -- dave
  22. Bought from Rodney - sent fast and secure. Thanks again.
