Well, to be fair, when he said that you "can't grade" did he ever mention in which direction you missed the grade? Takes stones like Gibraltar, and a teaspoon sized gray matter pan, to pull a move like that on the boards and think it won't get noticed. Come on, guys. Comics pay for his family.

I think I got hit with the same Beta change yesterday afternoon. Just when you have it how you like it, they mess it up. As to heating up, some have already said this, but the Photo Cover for Sex Criminals #1 has been doing great for me. Sales between $10-$12 2 weeks after it came out is pretty good (esp when you find them for cover). As long as people with big orders coming in at the end of the month know how to ration sales accordingly, should be good for some time. Also, may be one of the best recent covers for an SS.

Ikea has lots of options! I have one that is three by three and holds two short boxes per shelf! But they manufacture many other options too! That's what I'm talking about! Is it completely modular?

Trying to find a shelf/stand that is 3 rows across and 2 high to hold my short boxes. Wood is preferable over metal, something sturdy; haven't been able to find one that fit the dimensions correctly. Is this something I should/can build, or are there is a national chain that has what I'm looking for?

Yes, that is the first thing that sprang to mind when I saw that in the comic. However, the Arch is (relatively) current and definitively human-made.. What I had in mind were things that we take for granted as being "natural" but are not. This doesn't have to be the entire basis for the story, but would provide some nice "a-ha" moments.

Didn't see this directly addressed in the article, but what I like about my historical fiction is making the new/crazy/fiction have immediacy to actual events. Meaning, instead of just having L & C fighting a bunch of monsters in the Americas, for instance, you find out the Grand Canyon is not naturally formed, but actually a hole dug out by minotaurs to divert a river to their homeland. (Or something much more interesting. Couldn't think of anything good this early in the AM.)

Actually I had been trying to find one for awhile but hadn't seen on on eBay till this week and bid high from the start and lost out. 2 more came up this week so one of them will be mine (starting to sound like Thanos) In other IG news. Earlier in the year, I purchased these 15 boxes of 90's drek from a storage hunter. The books were from a store that had closed (I assume based on the number of multiple copies of books). In there were several Infinity Gauntlet #1's none were NM condition so I decided to sell the entire IG lot of books (a little from each series) and three #1's. I think I got $20 bucks for the lot. When I began to pack them I noticed something different on the covers from other IGs that I had in the past. The books had been signed in gold ink by Perez. I asked the buyer if he still wanted them and of course he said yes. I was upset I didn't get to keep one but oh well, that's how the cookie crumbles. There is also a signed copy but I'd rather get it signed myself if I decided to go that route. Your thread has been great reading, I agree some of those Warlock issues are great (this series introduced Warlock for me, and he's one of my favorite characters) I'll post my winnings soon Did these signed copies of IG #1 also happen to have a bunch of store stamps on the back? I'm from the Chicago area as well and didn't notice the gold signature either until I came across a piece of paper saying it was signed further down in the lot.

X-Force 2 is still not the 2nd appearance of Deadpool. Do you have a "Deadpool" + "Appearance" alert set somewhere?

I wish. And I think that's a Copper book, or at least on the cusp.
