  1. A new GA haul. Starting off with some classic back door love.
  2. Tell me about this mag- Early 90's indie comic-mag. Black and white interiors. Pre-cursor to Poison Elves, which some people like.
  3. Earl and I worked out a deal on a high-value book. Negotiations went smooth and transaction even smoother. Thanks!
  4. Perhaps those are the big sellers or ones I have missed. Many times I have gone on when a seller tags Golden Age, I ask off the bat what they will have for sale and they say they don’t have any. There is another very popular seller who sets up in their storeroom (?) and just asks people what they want them to sell, so no clue what you’re going to get. I don’t doubt some people run it so you know what’s coming, but most don’t (because it takes effort) and even less tell you a comic’s condition.
  5. I don't believe that, unless the new way is signing into a random "room" for several hours, being shown random books with no grades, and hoping something I want shows up. It is all about FOMO not building one's collection. If I want a specific book -- to check out different grades and prices and scans -- Whatnot cannot do that. It shows you, maybe, what is available live at that specific time (if they setup their listings fully, which most do not do). From a selling perspective I like how Whatnot forces (?) a buyer to have a payment method ready so someone doesn't skip out; as a buyer, I don't have hours a day (or even per week) to hope something comes along I want -- even if it's an amazing deal. Time is more valuable than that deal.
  6. Did they find the buried treasure yet? 10 mins of show dragged out to 60 mins+
  7. So Skeff was on-camera for (hosting?) the CGC-sponsored giveaway on whatnot? Is that accurate?
  8. e-check Payment to HA on Monday, FedEx just dropped off the comics today. Not bad.
  9. Does it link to your eBay account? Or for each sale do I need to type in name/address/etc?
  10. Have any attendees specifically asked about the two new releases?
  11. Exactly; who is still buying their books at this point?
  12. Ahhh so you bought it. I’d been eyeing that for a couple weeks but PGX definitely made me leery. How low grade is your now undercopy?
  13. I thought they were only releasing one variant per day of the convention?
  14. They forgot to bring the "big big big cha-ching"?
  15. No, I did not win that one; the ending price was a surprise. I have mine already (shown earlier), though more of a mis-cut.
  16. Ah, yes, one more surprise for me:
  17. 1. I'm not buying these 3 rules were actually talked about prior to this week, otherwise this post would have been created much earlier than today. 2. Ignoring the timing of these rules, it sounds like instead of applying the regular CGC grading standards to a book with items added after manufacturing, an "established artist" approached CGC, asked for a favor, and CGC obliged.
