  1. Can't go wrong by introducing them via Ecs, my friend! (thumbs u
  2. One of my few original ECs. Not straight horror, but good enough for me...
  3. Yes, my opinion is all pre-code is tough in high grade. ('cept maybe Thing 16 ) OK, so what do you consider high grade for pch? My opinion is anything 8.0 or better is a gem.
  4. Nice Want List. (thumbs u Hey, care to share your "Top Toughest" list? Even in mid-grade some of those won't be too easy to find. No, they won't. I'm trying to stir back up the "Toughest pre-code horror" chat we had going a few pages back. I don't think you put in your , pal.

  6. VERY cool books you have there! Thanks for sharing!!! (thumbs u
  7. Well worth the hunting! (thumbs u (and the interior art & stories ain't so bad, neither!)
  8. Nice copy you have there, Mr. Jay. (thumbs u Here's mine to wrap up my WEIRD MYSTERIES copies...
  9. May as well repost my SUSPENSE 14, too. PEER PRESSURE! I wanna belong!
  10. Yup, heard about it on the Atlas / Tales mailing list A strange and daring choice from the powers-that-be at Marvel but let's them for going with it! Nice, but when will they get around to doing NEW horror antholgies.
  11. It IS a nice looking book, but that one pops up fairly routine. There is one in an eBay store right now, and another which failed to sell at auction not too long ago. There is also a Worlds of Fear 2 on ebay being sold by John Hauser right now too. Scott Actually, there are TWO copies of WoF # 2 up in stores. Ew, ew...MONSTER CRIME! That's a tough one, if you count it. Has the horror cover, but basically crime reprints inside.

  13. You know, I almost added some type of disclaimer to my post stating that, while I firmly believe that these books come around less seldom than others, that it does not mean that I think they are IMPOSSIBLE to find with the advent of the internet. Patience is the key. Like most anything else, you can have a complete pre-code horror collection with: time and money. In fact, even though I list them among the toughest, I own a copy each of WoF # 2 and Beware # 10. I've seen all the others for sale at one time or another, as well. Still, I am of the opinion that they are up less than other PCH for whatever reason. Good observations, I might ad RJPB. BTW- Yet another copy of TORMENTED # 1 on eBay right now. Being hyped as the "rarest pre-code," while being the third one for sale in a couple weeks.
  14. I had a nice little list written a few years back, but the books are so hard I can't even find that paper now! Some of my choices: TMIH # 3 Worlds of Fear # 2 Fantastic Fears # 5 Voodoo Annual Beware # 10 (Frazetta) A handfull of random Atlas like: Amazing Detective # 13 Just to name a few.
  15. It is freaky! Ever read a story narrated by an urn before??
  16. One of the best Atlas pre-code covers. I hardly ever see pre-code cover OA. If you're ever planning to sell...... Thanks, Iggy, but I'm very much endeared to my new love . . . Yeah, don't be a Stooge, Iggy!!! As for your purchase, Mr. Trent... (Would it be overdoing it to say that your OA is "worth a million in prizes."
  17. Here's another Gilmore (Key at this point) attempt at the "side panel" type cover. Frankly, the examples are the least of my favorite covers of the run.
  18. I'm not sure if Wikipedia is 100% correct on their list of Nedor books, Mystery Comics in particular. I have a copy of Mystery Comics #1, and the indicia notes William H. Wise & Co. as publishers. Were they connected to Nedor?
