  1. It is indeed, especially the detail on the Reaper panel. I wonder if anyone (Scrooge, Adam? ) knows the artist?
  2. Wow! Feels like it has been soo long since my last contribution that I barely remember how to post scans. Glad to see that the flags of horror were still flying high, and that the thread remained "undead." WOOT! I'm kinda proud of this thread, ya know !? Anyway, where did I leave off....
  3. Matt Fox did some similar art covers for some pulp magazines as well, if you're interested in tracking down some inexpensive (by comparison) examples. Start with Weird Tales, the only title I'm 100% that he sometimes did work for.
  4. I'm not a big ACG fan but that is one sweet cover. I've been on an ACG kick recently, myself. Never used to think they were that great, but they really grew on me over the years. Sorta like a boil. BTW- Great books, Stronguy! Must be nice to "dig up" a few like these, eh!?
  5. Over the years I've owned multiple copies of this one. I think it is one of the easier books of the run to acquire. Drug (hash) story.
  6. Weird Horrors # 2 has a cool cover, IMO. I like the hooded guy in the LLC. Creepish.
  7. Things just keep getting weirder around here... Weird Horrors # 1 from underappreciated St. John.
  8. Some of you probably already know that I don't actively collect EC's because of their availabilty in cheap reprinted formats. Here however, is another of the few original ECs that I do own.
  9. You have the right forum astrp3. Hopefully we can be of some help around here. Last of the Weird Chills run. What a great trio of covers! Bought this one from Harley Yee WAY back when I first started collecting PCH in 93.
  10. Feh. Blood drainage is cool and all, but get a load of this insanity...
  11. Make me an offer. I would, but you'd probably either laugh or cringe at it.
  12. Nice bunch of books,'Fro! Wanna part with the AIU!!
  13. Another "Weird Adventures" from 1951, this one from Ziff-Davis. (# 10 ). Completely different style from the PL versions.
  14. It really is too bad they couldn't make it further than 1951 on the horror front. When you hear of PCH publishers closing shop, you kind of would presume it would be due to the CCA looming/arriving from '54 to '55. Not the case with PL. They simply couldn't get off the ground with the glut of horror on the stands in the '51-'52 explosion, from what I gather. Bummer.
  15. The last of PL's "Weird Adventures" - # 3 from 1951. With covers like this, it is a shame they didn't keep publishing. If memory serves correct, I think I bought this from Dale Roberts around 1994 or so at a tiny show in Dayton at a Holiday Inn. (Jubilee productions?)
  16. Just do yourself a favor and buy a copy! One of the best horror stories from ANy age, me fiendish friend!
  17. I agree! I wish they had printed more books than what they did.
  18. Weird Adventures # 2. More of what I refer to as PCH "title swipery" with "Web of Horror!" This stuff never ceases to amuse me.
  19. "He's trying to destroy the United Nations building!" Ah, Monsteroso! A monster for the anti- New World Order conspiracy fringe.
