  1. Hell... if I had it I would probably have it posted in my sig line...
  2. Congradulations I dream of owning a comic nice enough to be on the cover of another book. BTW... I think your "Caps Lock" button is stuck
  3. A personal grail of mine. It's low grade, but it will do until I can afford a high grade. The #3 was just a great deal and a cool Fawcette cover
  4. I applaud you for being able to leave AdamStrange... You wouldn't have been able to budge me from the chair. I can't begin to imagine being in that room. It's stunning to just think about it. I'll have good dreams tonight... Did you happen to notice his Wings #87 and #91 cover recreations by Bob Lubbers? Were they as incredible as the pictures on ComicArtFans.com are?
  5. It's humbling to see a single book that is worth more than my entire collection combined. Incredible stuff as usual Jon.
  6. The earliest I can think of is from Wings Comics #113 from winter of 1951. Probably something earlier, but I'm still new to GA so finding some of this takes me longer Wings also hit on China in some of the issues after 113.
  7. Just arrived tuesday from Heritage... #91 is damn hard to find and under valued. #85 was just a good deal. There would be more, but a chunk of money just went out for a commissioned repro of the #91 cover.
  8. Yeah, I've gone through your gallery over at comicartfans before. Love that piece. I have Darrly Banks doing a recreation of it for me right now. I should have it in a couple of weeks. It won't be colored, but I'm still eager. Does Bob still do commission work?
  9. Just picked this one up off Heritage. Vastly under valued by Overstreet and very difficult to find in any grade. It's not high grade, but looks damn good for a mid grade..
  10. Didn't you ask me earlier this week if you sold me my copy of that!?!? I used the proceeds to pick up a Thrilling Comics 56 in F+
  11. In CGC submission world I'm considered a "Modern" (barely). Bought my first GA last year... Startling Comics #48 with a Schomburg cover In the next couple of days I should finish off my X-Men 1 - now run and then I can switch to 90% of my cash going to GA stuff First goal is to put a nice set of Wings Comics together.
  12. Big Kudo's go out to Tomega for a couple of sweet X-Men books. Incredible packaging and speedy shipping
  13. Huge Kudos go out to Ares for the X-Men #1. That's the fastest shipping I've ever gotten from Canada and the packaging could have even handled the US Postal Service. Thanks again Brad
  14. "Chroma" is phenominal. It's even got me hunting down Schomburg magazine covers now. Be patient and buy it through eBay... Amazon only has it used and their sellers want too much.
  15. Half a Kudo goes out to 'House.... the other half was fed to the pack mule before I sent him back on his way to you... Your packaging is second to none. I can't wait to get into the Marvel Gerbers BTW... you forgot my Ultimate X-Men TPB
  16. Same here... I need reading material... oh... and don't spell my R-o-c-k-e-t-e-e-r either
  17. Huge kudos go out to beelzabub. I picked up his copy of Wolverine 145 Nabisco variant and it is sweet He calls it a 9.4 and I'd say he is dead on. I've had about 7 of these now and he's only the second person to grade it correctly. His packaging was superb as well. As the icing on the cake... the cash for the sale went to the Joanna fund. Quality guy all around...
  18. Man.... I almost shed a tear when I saw that book. I felt the books pain from the mouse chews. That said... i'd have bought that baby too
  19. I understand your embarassement... and I'm here to help. I'll take that eyesore from you free of charge. It's the least I could do for a fellow collector.
  20. This thread is definitely missing the lovely books from West. It's sad to see it die. Good luck with the new job West. I hope to send a Timely in for you to grade soon.
  21. Kudos to Valiantman for taking a misprint off my hands. Nice fast payment also Your feedback for me also put me up to a 600 rating.
  22. Kudos to the good Dr. for some nice early X-men at astonishing prices and super fast delivery
  23. Big Kudos to DiceX for the nice X-Men 137 9.4 Great safe packaging as well.
  24. Yeah I was rather disappointed when I saw that had happened. I bought it off ComicLink and it appears as though it happened in shipping. The packaging was great... I think it was just a weak corner and came off with some jostling.
  25. I listed this one before in the Skeletons thread, but it finally showed up in the mail today. It's not high grade, but it's my first CGC GA book. It's a pedigree to boot (Big Apple is an official pedigree isn't it?).
