  1. He stated in this thread (i think) a while back that it's a run that he's putting together for a customer. All to be delivered at one time. Now that's a mail day to look forward to
  2. I'm not sure I could let that baby go. Definitely a grail for me... if I can ever get that kind of cash together for one book
  3. You mean the Startling? You let that bad boy go? Tell me you upgraded
  4. And for my fellow GGA collectors out there... Baker Vs. Schomburg This for $5000 back in Feb. Or this for $4400 back in Aug 05' I'm going with Schomburg
  5. Let's see... I would take the Cap 1, Supes 1, Suspense 3, Marvel 1, Action 1, and the Subby (gotta go with Schomburg).
  6. I've had this one for a little while now, but just got it back from CGC. Frankie's are surprisingly hard to track down so I was happy to find this one in this condition. It's from the original set of "D" copies that came out years ago. Funny thing is that I got it from Harley Yee and he had it listed as the Ohio copy. CGC is the one that made the correction.
  7. Sorry... got them confused with the D copy's of Namora.
  8. Ok now that makes sense to me. I'm still trying to learn the nuances of the different pedigrees. Hopefully they'll have this kind of info in the pedigree book that Matt and West are working on.
  9. No you're right... an example would be Wow Comics #23. You can get the Church 9.2 copy for $1450 or you can Upgrade to the Rockford CGC 9.4 copy (highest census) for $150 less ($1300). That's just crazy to me.
  10. Some of them were. It's disheartening to see books that I was tracking on Heritage show up on Metro's site for 50% more then they sold for on Heritage. Books that were just a little out of my reach are now way out of my reach
  11. Just so you don't have to login to Heritage to view it...
  12. I'd say that's a fairly accurate portrait of kids in public. And people wonder why I don't want any of the little parasites...
  13. I think that part of it too is that it's just not as impressive that a dealer has a comic. I'm partial to the thought of how cool it is that someone was able to acquire some of these. For Bob and others it's just part of their business. Now Bob's victorian age stuff...
  14. The above could be said for Vincent from Metro or Chucky from Mile High. Just because they are highly thought of doesn't mean they should pimp their wares in the regular threads. It's not just the ones in this thread. He's doing it in others as well. While the books are nice it does feel like he's just trying to show off stuff for sale. If they were things that weren't listed on his site it would be different. Or if he didn't slap the "for sale" sign on them. If I want to know what he has for sale I'll go over there... and I do.
  15. While these are pretty cheap when you can find them they are really hard to find. I'd like to upgrade the #4. #1 is easy to find so it hasn't been a priority for me...
  16. I just sold me two extra copies on ebay last week. sorry
  17. I was kind of wondering about the farmer telling Moronica that cows have horns
  18. Great collection That number 3 is very cool. I have a #3 so I only need 5 more
  19. Waiting for this one to arrive from Ebay...
  20. A couple of recent Heritage pick ups... I got a killer deal on this Tailspin Tommy. $37 including the juice. A seller on Feebay has a copy that's at best a grade higher for $175. And my new baby... Wow #23 D copy. With the PB it was $2 over guide. Not too bad. The shadowing on the edge isn't nearly as pronounced in person. Far better than the VG I have anyway.
  21. Huge Kudos to GACollectibles for helping me check Flyin' Jenny #2 off my want list. That thing is virtually impossible to find. Super fast shipping as well...
  22. Just got in another piece from Espy. This is actually one that my wife requested. Hey... anything to get her to support the hobby Not quite appropriate for the boards so follow it here...
  23. Another great piece by Espy who can be hit or miss. I'm not even a huge fan of either character, but the lighting on it kept making me go back to look at it.
