  1. They were well stocked on star wars. The blank variant and midtown variant of superior spidey sold out at times sq. midtown variant is also sold out at downtown location, not sure about grand central, though.

Prices for superior midtown variant aren't as high as I thought they'd be on the bay. Can't tell if it's cooling or heating or what. Maybe too early? But I swear everyone and their mother has a copy of the midtown variant on eBay.

  2. Prices for Jimmy Olsen 134 are rising very fast.

Check out the COMPLETED LISTINGS , a CGC 6.0 sold for $175 and two raw sold for $249 and $331

Can you imagine what a 9.6 or 9.8 will pull over the next few months?

It will be similiar do MSH 18.

    It won't go for $6,600.

  3. Ha. :)

Because the price on the first variant pretty much guarantees that they can sell at least 5x as many of the 2nd variant. Because they are in the business of making money. And because they never stated a hard and fast variant on either cover.

Just look at the number of people on this forum who maxed out orders on the 2nd after missing the boat on the 1st.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.

    1. Anyone that orders via Previews understands that there is a reason why they solicit 2months in advance. Printing presses are not available on-demand.

    2. Being in Business by definition means you are in the act of generating money.

    3. See #1

    4. Just like ANY market, there will always be those that act and those that react. If your lucky to count yourself among the former, you get to sell to the latter, at a profit.

    lastly :ohnoez:

There will definitely be no hoarding of Superior this Wednesday at Midtown. Associate there said there'd be a strictly enforced limit of one copy per customer of all covers.

  4. So the preview doesn't count? So many rules to this hobby

Oh it counts, sadly you will get a bunch or jokers who will say no because they are heavily invested in books they mistakenly think are the first appearance. Nice work on finding this one!

I said somewhere in the Is Spider-man Superior thread that Marvel Previews 2 actually contains the first Superior Spidey. No one acknowledged my post at the time.

I remember very distinctly picking it up and flipping through it. It came out one week before DD21 even if you count DD21 to contain Superior's first appearance. Even if you discount Marvel Previews 2, which was free, I think it's really Avenging Spidey 15.1 that's the first app.

Anyway, a year from now Superior will be inferior and the title will be canceled.

  5. I definitely see support for Amazing Spider-Man #700, Avenging Spider-Man #15.1 and Daredevil #21. And I see Amazing Spider-Man #700 Midtown Variant is up to $45? Yikes. I should of bought one when they were first offered. doh! So nothing new to add really. :sorry:

No, midtown is up to $80 shipped.

The may be selling for that but I was just noticing an auction in which the price was bid up to $45. So I'm not sure why your disagreeing with me. (shrug)

Just pointing out that completed auctions have it ending at $80.

  6. I was having a night out with my wife and son on the other side of town and i decided to put comics in my GPS and Titan comics came up on the list. First time in the store, looked through their bins and came across a long box that was marked "Unsorted Books" and i grabbed them and the guy behind the counter said they were a buck each.

A night out with the family with a stop at an lcs?? :o I want that family!

  7. What is the print run on #2? It looks like copies are going as high as $7.99 on eBay now. It will be interesting to see how many people this title can attract. So far so good......

I hit it hard with issue #1 and slacked on #2.

I believe I read somewhere that #2 had a 30% lower print run but do not quote me on that.

#1 2nd print will be out next week.

Would not be surprising if 2 had a much lower print run as stacks of 1s at midtown sat on the shelves for weeks.

  8. Interesting. That is a relatively low print run. What was it for the Batgirl and Catwoman 2nd prints?

Around the same. The lowest was Catwoman 13, with just over 20,000. I just point out Batman 13's second printing because it's a sweet cover. The Batgirl and Catwoman covers are meh, IMO.

Interesting!! Where do you find such data?

    The comic chronicles

  9. I just did a price cross check of these two books and FF 67 goes for almost double what Thor 165 goes for.

    Thor: http://comics.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=121235&lotNo=12704

    FF: http://comics.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=121127&lotNo=12237

So which is the first appearance of Warlock? The collecting community seems to regard FF 67 as the first, but CGC has Thor as the first full. Which is more sought after? Will this become another Hulk 180 v 181? Ugh... I can say that FF is definitely easier to find in high grade than Thor.
