  1. As Branget mentioned already a couple of times, and which bears repeating, you have to remember who's writing this title: the publisher of Image, Eric Stephenson.

I just cannot imagine, under any scenario, in which ES allows this book to falter. His name is attached to it. His reputation is attached to it. When in doubt, look at the fundamentals. The fundamental truth is that ES is attached to it.

If this title falls behind, I think it's safe to say that ES will call for a full court press, 11-man blitz to make sure this title stays relevant and headlines among Image's top releases.

  2. Never fear my friends.... #5 will come out and the love affair will be rampant again.

The fan base will continue to grow IMHO.

This is one of the better series out at the moment. There is a lot of quantity on the market, but quality is much more scarce. Hopefully, after this delay they NWM crew will have a plan to have a consistent release schedule. Oh, by the way, the cover for #5 is - once again - awesome (thumbs u

    Right on!

  3. Issues 5 (May 15) and 6 (May 29) will be released just two weeks apart. And then the TPB drops in July to the eminently reasonable tune of $9.99! Get excited!

I agree with Pie, books do fall into a lull. But this book has a lot going for it. I agree that the NWM #1s are a hold. The Thought Bubble and regular print #1 being the best of the bunch.

  4. I know I'm 497 pages late to the party, but just picked up and read my NWM 1-4 - wow - just wow - great stuff - of all the books I've read most recently, it reminds me most of all of Watchmen ...

    terrific!

    Spread the word! (thumbs u

  5. So, almost everyone I know hasn't read this book out here. Mostly due to them not being able to find certain issues, other people like reading trades. I wonder if this book will really take off after the tpb comes out. I'd imagine it will.

Now would be a good time to pick up a TB 9.8...

  6. i am a fan of NWM. But it is not fair to compare NWM to Saga.

    Please explain. (shrug)

i am very green when it comes to this hobby. that being said, when a comic has the hearts and minds of females, it tends to bode very well for longevity.

again, this is anything BUT a knock on NWM.

lol fair point. I was only comparing the two books' (RRP and TB) potential. Nowhere Men may not be there yet. But ES and Nate Bellegarde are putting a really good book together. Lurkers: READ THIS BOOK!

  7. It's a hold in my book. This series has *immense* potential. A 9.8 TB in even 8 months is a $1000 book.

I agree wholeheartedly with you that this series has immense potential, but $1000 for a TB #1 in approx 8 months! hm

I can only hope that mine come back 9.8's if that's the case! lol

Just look at Saga RRP. The book could be had for a few hundred over the summer. It's now a borderline $1000 book. And I expect fewer 9.8s of the TB. And I expect this series to rocket in popularity. Get in on the ground floor, folks, because this one's going right to the top.

  8. Need some advice from the board.

I have a Thought bubble that is probably a 9.4 now and will be a 9.8 with a press without a doubt.

My dilemma is this.....i am leaving the US and all of my ungraded collection for the next two years soon so I am trying to unload some books that i think have the potential to change a good amount in price.

Do you think i should dump it now, or does it have two years worth of legs?

It's a hold in my book. This series has *immense* potential. A 9.8 TB in even 8 months is a $1000 book.

  9. Has anyone else noticed the pgx 9.8's of #1 are selling for the same as the CGC 9.8's?

Did notice, no adequate explanation. I watch the PGXs just as a curiosity.....never interested in purchasing.....I've even seen a 9.9 PP #1 PGX...YUCK!

Dunno how people feel comfortable with those slabs.

    They're the uninitiated/uninformed. lol
