  1. Let me stress how much Midtown has screwed the pooch on my last few orders. Not only have I stopped ordering from them, I'm going out of my way to stress how s#*tty their customer service is. They kept pushing the blame off. I received an issue of Revival that was MAYBE in VG condition. It looked like someone held it on both sides and stressed the spine back and forth against a doorframe. It was HORRIBLE. When I wrote them they blames everyone including me - like I was trying to get away with something. It took 5 emails to get reimbursed. MIDTOWN SUCKS - DON'T ORDER FROM THEM.
  2. Firstly, Ryan... Beautiful. My second favorite cover... I sat on that one and didnt want to fork out the 600 for the line. stupid, stupid, stupid. Secondly, the sketches are beautiful. Amazing how similar the two are, very nice. Love them.
  3. Stuck on a business trip in ny have a few friends going in my stead. Won't be con- ning till nycc sigh
  4. +1 +2 seriously, as someone with a design background, these are a total knock out. I loooovvvvveeee how stark they are. Image is killing it!
  5. I don't even have a hallway My Revival #5 cover art is all pretty and framed and stuck in my closet. Wife said it's not 'living room' friendly. I disagree. NO... NO THIS WILL NOT DO! What the heck man. One of the greatest covers of all time. Sell to me and I will stick it on my wall and send you pictures of how awesome it could be! I have a full 700sq ft room that I work in - sadly it has no Revival #5 artwork. It's lonely without it! Closet, I feel so badly for it! Very nice plea. I refuse to close the closet door and have it propped up against my comic boxes so it's kind of like it's there but just not the same. I had to move quickly from my last place and no time to search for a proper home with a man room. Rest assured I will not be moving again anywhere without a proper place to hang it. I may actually take it with me while I househunt to make sure there is a perfect place for it. Haha! Good man! I do envy that snag though. What a beautiful piece. Your wife is very lucky to have such a devoted man! I wish you bigger walls in your future! Much love!

  7. A) why do I always hit top of a new page, and B) hulk 180/181. First is DD 21, first full is DD 22
  8. I received mine TODAY!!!! How's that for fast! The good thing is that I probably will make out better because of the wait.
  9. Hey Ryan, what do you do with all of these posters/framed prints? You have a wall or just all over the house?
  10. Hahaha.... WOW what a great idea!
  11. I love Bedlam. I hate Irving. It reminds me of the 90s when quality went strait to hell. 'Like you could do better.' I undoubtedly, without question, could do better. I don't mind lesser art, I don't like bad art... Especially bad cover art. There are too many talented people out there. I'm done. Sorry for the rant.
  12. Can we talk about the print count of the oranges some more? I'd like to make sure I understand this. Also, is this a 2nd printing of the variant? I can't wait for 4.
  13. It's all cool, sorry I asked - didn't mean to stir up dust. Just good intentions.
  14. Solar - just wow. Awesome grab!
  15. He was trying to provide a good service, make money, and get some to CBDLF as well. "Noble" is likely taking it a bit beyond, but he certainly wasnt trying to do anything wrong. However, it is very VERY good that convention exclusives not be pre-sold outside of the convention. Undermining the convention and the publisher, even unintentionally, benefits no one. If $2000 to CBLDF not happening is the issue, the people that are bothered by it should make a pledge drive thread. I have no doubt the board could easily pull in $2000 in donations to them. Even more so though, if they managed to actually keep some stock back they can put on their site. CBDLF can list stock on their site, and make way more than $2000. They could sell 50 books from their site at below current ebay prices and make far more than the 200 would have netted them at $15 (5 + the 10 donation). People that feel passionately for the CBDLF should be canvasing for them. Get people interested, hold pledge drives, donate some books to a sales thread and send them the proceeds, etc etc. Re: CBLDF - I couldn't agree more. People seem upset with the comic going for ridiculous prices on the bay, but under the guise of how CBLDF fell short. Is there a a way we can make up for that here? I for one would be more than happy to donate on behalf of the board. I know there is a donation link on the CBLDF site, I guess what I'm wondering: does anyone know of a way we can set up a donation link through CGC to CBLDF ? Is this a good idea? It might go a long way to mending some scuffed relationships...
  16. It's 50/50 right now. Well it's 20/80 but I'm stacking up those to send out. Have a bunch slabbed, and trying to get more. Doing that today in fact. Have some saga that I need to press so I'll need to reach out. I'd love to get down to one GOOD long box of slabbed silver and a few boxes of moderns. I tend to keep some reading copies all over the house if you even count those! Honestly, I enjoy the comics more than I do the hobby, which tends to inhibit my stash at times. Looking back through the years at all that I'd given away to get people engaged is heartbreaking! I collect new for the stories and silver and coppers for the historical relevance.
  17. That's still on my radar, but I refuse to pay $40 for a #1. Sad to say I have a TB, but don't have a normal #1 because I refuse to buy into the huge price point. I'll wait a year or two if need be and if it doesn't happen, so be it.
  18. Yeah, this is what I expected. Mine has a small color break... It's small but won't be helped with pressing. Because of the heavy blue that does break, I expected these to smudge rather than press clean. I guess that's the point though, if you get them cheap enough, and there are no breaks, give it a shot... But the chances if finding one in both the cheap and non ticked categories is almost impossible at this point.
  19. I have resigned to the fact that I will never get to own one of these, much like a TWD #1 unless it falls from the sky, off the back of a truck (into a large pillow) or I win the lottery Color me uber jealous! Wow. I have never read anything on this board that better captures my feelings.
  20. Think I read this correctly, as I've never pressed, do you think the TB would press well? I would have thought, and I have no experience mind you, that will the crappy ink (forgive me fono and e.s.) that they wouldn't be the best candidates for pressing.
  21. Foil variant is where it's at. I have a hot lead on 50 of the 200 that will be released to the 30 people that were not able to attend one of the 4 big US based cons over the next 6 months. That's a ratio of 4:1/2:3 er, times the square root of black + 15 or something like that. At the end of the day, I'll be the only one with any and they will likely all be displayed soundly in my mind.
  22. So, since I gave up on this I decided to take the 160 I have on hand to drop and spill it on a silver instead. Much love to NWM. But I can wait for you. No silver in mind yet, but I have my short list.
  23. Beauty. Unusual too. Will post mine so you can gawk at the tick mark. You'll want to mar yours up so you can be like me. Wow, didn't see the scuff marks until you mentioned them.
