  1. I picked up a reg cover 9.8 blue for $43 (w/ free ship) two weeks ago....
  2. Disagree. WD 27 isn't the first time a reflection has been used on a cover. ASM 55, anyone? And am I the only one that doesn't care for the cover to WD 27? How big is that globe of a face mask, anyway...? Didn't you own the cover OA for 27 at some point? I know it's changed hands a few times
  3. Wow - the stores in the Phoenix area are great compared to what you guys are describing. My #1 LCS offers 20% off all comics if you have a subscription. Last month I walked to the counter with Snyders Batman books 11-15 missing 13. He noted what I was missing & when I told him I'll hit eBay, he dug thru his stash and pulled out a bagged 13; and he still gave me 20% off.
  4. Found 4-7 + 0 at my secondary LCS today ... The covers do leave a little to be desired, don't they. At least the premise sounds interesting.
  5. I stopped by my lcs to add #3 to my list and got the last one... Owner said everyone and their brother called to add Nowhere Men to their pull list within the last few days. Also got the last Sixth Gun. It's not even Wednesday and his new release wall was hit hard.
  6. For a 4-letter common word .com domain name (like "saga"), you're looking at at least 6 figures. How about a longer one like .... Peterpanzerfaust.com
  7. Here it is blown up. http://www.comicbookresources.com/prev_img.php?disp=img&pid=1330190934 Another variant cover?
  8. I have a couple of copies of each, but I walked by scores of copies this past weekend for under $20 for both 1 and 2. *spoon*
  9. Finally read 2 & 3 last night to catch up... This book definitely has legs. The story is told in a disparate manner, but is also cohesive (unlike, for example, Blackacre). I read some of the comments on art, but I like Riley's depiction of Madder; his style fits the chaos the character brings. I do think some of the non-Madder scenes could be finessed a little more (ie tighter pencils). Maybe as the series progresses he will evolve his style.
  10. Just a few observations of the books (raw) being discussed as offered by the comic dealers at the Amazing Arizona Comic-con yesterday: Peter Panzerfaust 1 - $220 Saga 1 - $140 Saga in general seemed to be selling very well. One dealer had an impressive display Friday and it was half-blown out Saturday afternoon. Nowhere men 1 - $14 Nowhere men 2 - $8 Hawkeye 1 - $20 DareDevil 21 - $20 Spider-man 700 - $20 I was looking for any Sixth Gun and all the dealers shooked their heads sadly... No RIPD either (although I did buy a page of OA from issue 2 from the artist)
  11. I got two copies of ToT #1 in excellent condition from them last spring. Highly recommended dealer.
  12. There is a discussion about artists being upset with seeing free/cheap sketches on eBay under the Original Art section (Is Flipping bad for the hobby? Thread) BUT reading this thread is way more entertaining.
  13. It would be hard to guess if she did only ONE, but if she sold a cover per issue and no splash/panels, my guess would be in the 1500-2000 range. As the series becomes more popular, it would jump up. As a comparison, Adlards WD covers were less than 1000 just around a year ago - now they are in the 3000 range. Another comp - Oliver Coipel covers (epic and iconic) are in the 2k+ range.
