  1. That's not how any of this works. This is like saying if you successfully pass counterfeit currency through a bank that it is now legitimate and legal tender. Knowingly misrepresenting what you are selling for financial gain is fraud, it doesn't matter if you were able to fool a third party authority or not. You understand people have gone to prison for selling trimmed sports cards that passed authentication by the grading companies, yes?
  2. Automatic Comics already proved this in his video that was posted yesterday. The guy bought a qualified 8.5 Hulk 181, swapped it with a blue label 9.0, had it re-holdered, and sold the qualified 8.5 as a 9.0 blue label.
  3. Knowingly re-selling a blue label book that you bought previously as a green label qualified book due to a missing marvel value stamp is fraud. And if you've done it repeatedly no honest mistake defense is going to hold up.
  4. Except it is fraud, CGC not catching it doesn't absolve him of his wrongdoing nor does it legitimize his criminal enterprise. Of course nothing will come of this because it doesn't rise to the level of concern to earn the attention of anyone that matters, but to suggest this isn't provable fraud is laughable.
  5. The collectors that were around before the WATA and Heritage handshake knew the market Heritage created was nonsense. The prices realized at the auction houses never translated to eBay or conventions. Collectors were never paying those prices.
  6. It's mostly just a graveyard for run-fillers and drek. It would be different if he charged a premium as the go-to seller for a particular genre or even a niche, but he isn't the source for anything in demand. Unless you are looking for a newsstand edition of a particular issue his website mostly just serves as an artifact of the internet as it used to be.
  7. Frazetta remains the most undervalued artist in comics and magazines.
  8. That is one of the true believer or fan appreciation variants that Cebulski and other Marvel execs were handing out at various conventions.
  9. All NTSC PS2 games released prior to the end of April 2005 have the white security sticker and holofoil seal across the top face of the case. If you have a PS2 game that doesn't look like Makmorn's then it's been resealed or counterfeit. There are counterfeits with UPCs that don't match the UPC on the box and there are fake holofoil seals that are missing the PS logo.
  10. Apologies, I misremembered - the buyer of the Goldin copy of Sonic the Hedgehog is a sports card bro, not a crypto bro or at least he doesn't advertise it on his Instagram. Same guy that sold Logan Paul a fake case of Pokemon. With how badly sports cards have been doing his losses, although likely largely unrealized as of now, have to be at 7 or 8 figures at this point. https://www.instagram.com/p/CVlsCxUMmr1/?hl=en&img_index=1
  11. There have been periods of time in the past where Bolland and Hughes covers for Wonder Woman have sold for significantly more than they typically do. There is no reason for MCS to constantly adjust their prices down if the current market is soft. Also MCS has consignments, which oftentimes means the price isn't being set by MCS.
  12. The sketchiness started when Heritage issued their initial press release years ago for the original Super Mario Bros sale that kicked this whole thing off. They made it read like the game sold in an open auction, except it didn't as it was a private sale. Nor did they mention that Halperin himself was one of the three buyers who collectively purchased the game. It was just one big scam from the beginning to hype their exclusive partnership with WATA as a new profit stream for their auction house. Games had been getting graded for years and the only people that ever cared were video game nerds. It's why video game pricing on Heritage and other auction houses has never aligned with eBay, Heritage listings were being gobbled up by outside money. The copy of Sonic that sold for 430k on Goldin was laughable, it was pathetically over-graded with a giant tear in the wrap, of course it was bought by some crypto NFT dudebro who has no knowledge of videogames.
  13. Someone just post the "moment that changes everything" to Twitter and save everyone 2 plus hours in the theater.
  14. If you didn't agree with the price of the book 3 years ago your response to someone suggesting it was time to sell wouldn't have been to deny the existence of the bubble. And the price keeps falling: https://www.ebay.com/itm/276131087316
  15. Unless you bought it for the artwork, they're mostly just a gigantic waste of money that serves as an advertisement for an online retailer or social media personality.
  16. Your initial post in this thread in November 2020 shows no argument against the value at the time, which was around 1.5k, triple the price of what it was selling for at the start of 2020. You defended the character because he was in Ultimates 3. So three years ago you weren't opposed to the price, it continued to increase during the pandemic, but then the bubble popped, but there was no bubble according to you, or it was a different bubble because of the pandemic, the book continues to crater and you don't think it should be 1k, but again there was no bubble, so what exactly are you saying? The book was tremendously overvalued at the end of 2020, the original poster had a two plus year window to sell it for a profit, you gave bad advice, and the book continues to be one to avoid at current market price.
  17. Ghost Rider has been targeted as potentially being used in the MCU more times over the past decade than just about every other character. That includes the rumored return of Cage to the role, the creation of Robbie Reyes, Reyes appearing on Agents of Shield, the creation of Cosmic Ghost Rider, the rumor that Mephisto was in Doctor Strange 2, plus the MCU using either the Midnight Sons or the Legion of Monsters having already used, or in the process of using, Blade, Morbius, Man Thing, Werewolf by Night, etc.
