  1. If the owner of an auction house is of questionable character and that is going to keep you from bidding on their auctions you should probably avoid Goldin and Heritage too.
  2. The seller is an eBay partnered charity. Those books were likely donations and the person listing them probably has zero understanding of comic books or grading.
  3. The seller is a charity. I'm guessing the swapped labels is a CGC -up as the books were graded at the same time.
  4. It got label swapped with the #7 that the seller also has listed for sale. https://www.ebay.com/itm/225239883798
  5. His second post literally says he needs to assign a grade to each book. Unless it is drek, no definitely not.
  6. Achieved via private sale roughly a year and a half ago, won't sniff that number now.
  7. 2 minutes per book for grading isn't happening if you are going through every page, which may either be necessary or a complete waste of time depending on the age of the books and apparent condition from looking at the covers.
  8. Digital codes? No. NFTs? Yes.
  9. Advertising that their digital collectibles are being offered at the same price point as their physical releases isn't the selling point they think it is.
  10. The derision directed at metalpsi is the result of his middle management corporate nonsense post that is used when paying people a non-livable wage. Money, who needs it? We'll make working here fun for you and that's all that matters, right? GTFO here with that. The only people that write trite garbage like this: "Money isn't the be all, end all to happiness." Are the people that have never been without it.
  11. If Youtube hucksters are telling you to buy into X collectible, don't. Hint: Youtube hucksters are currently pushing NFTs on their viewers.
  12. People hoarding a book like that is a good thing, as it demonstrates confidence in the book as an asset. Compare that to the hot spec book where owners are always trying to offload the book before the music stops.
  13. What absolute nonsense from the man at the top.
  14. You should watch the one where he gets upset no local shop wants to buy his drek.
  15. Crazy how this whole WhatNot company seemed to come out of nowhere and remains complete trash.
  16. None of those are close to the current prices these magazines are fetching or would fetch if they came up for sale.
  17. You can request scans from them
  18. You're confident CGC can identify complete in box games? Including all paper ephemera?
  19. Halperin is responsible for the videogame boom and grading market. Heritage's original press release for the 100k Super Mario Bros sale in 2019 made it appear the sale was an auction win, when in reality it was a private sale, and they didn't disclose it was purchased by three parties either.
  20. They have a track record of being inattentive to details when it comes to comics. They now want to position themselves as some sort of authority in regards to videogames wherein the minutiae separating the releases and printings is 10x worse than it is in comics? Good luck.
