  1. Very nice - Im right around 6% only First half of my order has been dispatched - 2nd half is being processed - Placed the orders right when they up for sale For 25 copies, shipping was approx 28 pounds I got charged 28 pounds for 10 copies and live in Chicago as well.
  2. he listed it as a variant because CGC labeled it as a variant. Look at the label in the pics.
  3. Great Thanos Cover! I only have 1. Weird they'd have him on this one, since he wasn't even in War of Kings. Marvel did villain variant covers for some of its books that month with the villains appearing on the covers having nothing to do with the issues themselves.
  4. lot more eyes on your product, plus its easier for buyers to find it.
  5. There needs to be a 'Moderns that are heating up on ebay! - No Discussion' thread. Links there, butthurt here. Just do what I do and use the ignore user function, it's great. Batman Adventures 12 continues to sell at higher prices. Yes I know the book is 20 years old and not exactly readily available, but it can be found for cheap in back issue stock both online and in your lcs. In what world?!? It has been YEARS since I found one anywhere that would be considered moderately cheap . I've found two recently...one online and one locally.

  7. You can sell issue 25, the thanos cover not the iron man one, for 30 to 40. Last issue I sold at that price only sat on ebay for 3 days.
  8. They probably wouldn't care. They know they still have an audience that actually cares about their work Speculation leads to sales which gives the creators the ability to continue to do what they enjoy/love and make a living doing it. Increased sales gives them more leeway and bargaining power regarding their ideas/desires for future books/projects. Also many users here seem to only speculate enough to make their comic book hobby self sustaining. Meaning they only sell enough on the secondary market to cover what they buy to read and/or collect.
  9. I consider it important information, as PP1 prices continue to heat up. Raw copies are selling close to 300 dollars now. So you know, if you find a copy for 150 or even 200 dollars, you can still make a decent profit on it.
  10. Someone just said that 10 books cost them 40 bucks to ship. Maybe i read that here or somewhere else but i just read it a few minutes ago. Cant remember where exactly That was me on another board. I order books from the UK quite a bit and that seems high to me.
  11. Can someone tell me how much they got charged for shipping from forbidden planet to the states and size of their order
  12. that will happen when everyone buys stacks of the book from tfaw for 40% off the 7.99 price tag and flood ebay with .99 no reserve auctions.
  13. in my experience that isn't beneficial to the seller because it just encourages the buyers to wait on bidding until the very end and then make a final bid that is only slightly higher than the starting price. You start it low and people have an incentive to get into a war over it because they feel they are still getting it at a decent price and then they get lost in it and have to have it.
  14. I don't understand the hate for reserve price auctions.
  15. that is the same seller that attempted to flip PP OA.
  16. It's not really chasing if I only make 1 phone call (thumbs u I think he is talking about buying 25 copies of a book based on 1 or 2 ebay sales, not the amount of effort that you actually put forth into acquiring the books.
  17. It should be noted that the Injustice video game hasn't even been released yet. The first issue was released in January, so its really not surprising that it could be lost among the rest of the DC books for a bit. The discussion about it here did very little to sell the book. The people that read this thread aren't the ones buying the book on ebay for 20 or 25 dollars, they are the ones selling it for that price.
  18. yeah I'm done selling those for now. Time to get some graded.
  19. i've heard this argument try to be made before, not sure by who though it was likely in this thread a few pages back
  20. 23 has a deadpool variant 25 has a ironman variant 24 doesnt have a variant I was talking about the variant for issue 8 which has Thanos. and the regular issues of 24 and 25. The variant for 25 has iron man on it and can be acquired for 3 or 4 dollars. The regular cover has Thanos and sells for $25+
  21. select issues of the 2008 Guardians of the Galaxy series still going up...1, 2, the variant for issue 8, 24 and 25.
  22. I'll just run down to my lcs and pick up a stack for cover.
  23. link to OA? also does anyone know if any of the eccc variants were not numbered and signed?
  24. Guy who owns the shop I've started frequenting couldn't care less about what is getting hot or putting buying limits on books. He simply states that if he sells what is on the shelves he won't go out of business, so if someone comes in and buys 20 copies of a book he couldn't be happier. All the new books are on thin display shelves so he can only put out 5 or so copies of a book at a time anyway. Its one of those small town shops that has been in business forever but probably only has a few regular customers with decent sized subscriptions, mostly survives on small children coming in with their parents buying a handful of books every now and then or coming in weekly for a book or two. He carries all the Image titles because he likes to recommend them to people who wander into the shop but aren't into the superhero offerings from the big two.
