  1. 2.5 million is actually quite a lot. DC usually only does sales of around 1.9 million total copies of its new 52 line any given month. I would guess that DC printed more than usual of its lesser selling titles for people that wanted to collect sets.
  2. It also should be pointed out that the Iron Man Incredible Hulk Nick Fury one shot and the Iron Man 2 Agents of Shield books are both part of the Marvel cinematic universe, earth 19whateverthehellitis. The Battle Scars books are still his first appearance in the regular Marvel universe.
  3. His first appearance was this: http://marvel.wikia.com/Incredible_Hulk:_The_Fury_Files_Vol_1_1 But that was a digital comic. His first appearance in print was this: http://marvel.wikia.com/Iron_Man/The_Incredible_Hulk/Nick_Fury_Vol_1_1 That book predates every other book that is considered his first appearance.
  4. Just curious if you're affiliated with this company; I've never heard of Arden? spreads WTTB huckleberry ! I like the covers and like always willing to give it a try but at $20 somebody else try first You can buy a copy off the publisher's website for cover price http://www.ardden-entertainment.net/
  5. As newborns, children, or adults where they actually contribute to the story?
  6. The sales are recent tho. Right, but the rest of my sentence indicated that those aren't books you are easily going to find. The SDCC and first prints are the books you have a decent chance of stumbling upon in your lcs or odd online store, but they aren't selling.
  7. The graphite variants are from 2 years ago or something, not a book you have a good chance of finding in the wild. The first prints and the SDCC variant aren't selling at all.
  8. Barnes and Noble is very laid back when it comes to stocking new comics. I live near 4 or 5 of their stores and they don't bother putting new books out on Wednesdays. They are likely just sitting in the back still in the box.
  9. I wonder if just the J. Scott Campbell cover #601 will be hot or if it will apply to the other 1st printing cover and/or the Quesada 2nd printing cover as well..... Its just the Campbell cover. Its why 606 and 607 are sought after as well.
  10. You can still order quite a few of the 3D villain covers that are releasing next week from Midtown.
  11. It looks like all 1,800 of them are on Ebay right now there are only 5 listings for Outliers 1 on Ebay in the US right now
  12. Why is that surprising? because that book has 4 days left and has already matched the previous high (at least going by sold listings) that it has sold for on ebay. because there is a low supply of graded copies of that book currently available on ebay. because this thread is titled "moderns that are heating up on ebay"
  13. 1) It's Batman. 2) It's a #1. 3) Best book from the New 52 (Snyder's Batman rocks). 4) It's Batman. 5) Capullo rocks the art. 6) Batman is everywhere. 7) Oh, and did I mention, it's Batman! Yeah but.... 1. Its not old 2. Its not rare 3. Its not a key issue or first appearance 4. The print a boat load of Batman books so what makes these worth 140 + Maybe the answer is just because. I'm lost. The only reason any comic book is "worth" anything is because multiple are willing to pay that amount to own it. Most people were born a few decades too late and/or are now priced out of owning a copy of Detective Comics 27 or Batman 1, volume 1 so Batman 1, volume 2 is a viable starting point for new collectors. The book has 5 printings. Plus it has steadily increased in value and is likely the best choice among any New 52 book to continue to see an increase in value as the years pass by, both because of the character and because of the quality of the book. So its an affordable book to buy into as both a collector and a speculator. If you look at most modern comics compared to older comics it can be argued that they are grossly overvalued across the board.
  14. they were selling fine until people started undercutting each other on BINs and throwing up auctions at .99
  15. Are you sure they aren't from one of the minis or 2nd prints?
  16. listing them individually sounds like a train wreck. I would imagine if different buyers win the individual auctions that nobody will end up paying.
  17. I went back to this dollar store and found a few more books. (Oh, and the two ASM 361s are currently at CGC being graded). I took pictures of the store. It was like going back in time to a comic shop in 1992. I was considering all the Valiants, but I'm not too familiar with Valiants or if any of them are valuable. Anyone see any books there that are worth buying? (I picked up most of the Spider-Man books). Thanks. if there are any copies of SIlver Sable 23 in there they are worth grabbing. The cover has Deadpool on it.
  18. The first issue of The Activity still sells decently on Ebay, if you see any nice copies in dollar bins when out and about.
  19. Ebay is enough of a minefield already, no need to set up additional headaches for yourself.
  20. Probably not a good idea when your order isn't guaranteed, the condition of the books isn't guaranteed and the delivery date is unknown.
  21. we shall see what kind of demand there is for that book when everyone dumps their copies on ebay this weekend that they bought off action lab's website. was action lab offering the variants? They were until they were mentioned in this thread. Sold out now. Apparently they only ship on Fridays though, so it could be another week before they start popping up on ebay en masse.
