The Pieta was extensively restored after a hammer-wielding madman attacked it.   No one seems to object to it.

There was, as I recall, some debate as to whether to leave the damaged Pieta as is or to repair it.  They repaired it.

The David was also damaged with a hammer.  They gathered up all of the fragments and repaired/restored it.  I couldn't tell.

Not at this time. There's been nothing mentioned since the blowup between Miller and Reynolds last year.

T.J. Miller says Ryan Reynolds reached out to him over misunderstood Deadpool comments

Yup - last I read about that was, as you posted, that they had cleared the air which to me should mean that there's nothing standing in the way of him being in 3.  So far though, nary a word.  Shame if he isn't in it IMO.

How far along is shooting ?

What they say "that is my one true grail, I doubt I can pay you FMV for it but if you could see any way to help me acquire it I would be forever in your debt."

What they really mean "I have a sucker lined up to buy it but I would like to make more off it."

Anyone that falls for this one deserves to see that piece up for sale later on.  lol

Great news Superman the Silver Age Omnibus @1 is coming Dec 5, 2023 in the Omnibus format. It contains Superman 122-137 and Action Comics 241-265. The retail price is only $100 and I see it  on Amazon for $90 and thriftbooks for $81. 680 oversized pages remastered!!! Coming up on 85 years. the Superman archive editions were hard to come by and of course I am looking forward to upgraded remastered images and  printing. These in my opinion were just plain great stuff. I hope this leads to other editions coming out like Rip Hunter, Challengers etc.....let me know what you think!

It IS great stuff but it covers no real new ground in that the issues to be contained in this Omnibus are almost identical to those included in the "Superman Man of Tomorrow" three volume DC archives series.

It's an annoying trait of DC.  They take the material to a certain point and then stop and start all over again.  Besides this Superman example, there are numerous other examples of this - the Superman/Batman DC Chronicles series being one of them.  This was a great series - affordable; good quality reproduction; and, it reproduced the World's Finest stories as well.  Then it abruptly stopped.

The point is well taken though that the Archives have been out of print for sometime now.  Some are hard to find some are not.  Either way they can be pricey.  This Omnibus and hopefully future ones will give readers a cost friendly vehicle for reading these great stories.  I'd also like to see them issued in smaller increments too.  Those omnibus volumes are unwieldy and heavy.

You mention Challengers.  That Archives series that went two volumes (up to issue #8) and then stopped.  What happened?

I'd like DC to issue the early 50s Phantom Stranger run as well as The New Adventures of Charlie Chan.  How about a reissue of the Golden Age Spectre? - I missed it the first time and it's now very pricey.

Bill Finger. Legend. Credit so long overdue. Its coming now but he deserved to hear the praise during his living years. The signatures look good though I'm far from an expert. Those daily proof sheets are a part of our collecting history. They belong here, out of the shadows. What magic to behold. I'm so grateful to you and to everyone for sharing.

Sad that all he ended up with were some proof sheets...

Wally Wood did some (very) explicit porno stuff towards the end of his life, but I wouldn't really consider it *fun* to own such art as I actually consider it quite sad that an artist of his calibre  ended-up doing such things . . . and, no, I'm not going to risk a permanent ban from these forums for posting any pictures

He wasn't the only one who did that and I agree - very sad.

Keif Fromm . . . not a good guy, IMHO (he would make a snake oil salesman look respectable . . . I have my own Keif story), as I'm sure  Mitch will attest.

You've told yours but we still haven't heard Mitch's.  We need to hear his.

I never said i think it s a good idea. its just because i love this charachter and want to get books to a reasonable price

Your original post mentions that you're planning to invest in Flash comics in a year and you also ask whether there could be an increase in value to Flash comics produced between 1987 and 2011.  That's an investment query either directly or indirectly.

Hello guys, actually i was focused on other comics but i planned to invest on Flash in like 1years. But now the movie is avowed i hesitate to put priority on him. Did you think it s a risk of value increasement after June?

To precise i want to buy some books from 1987 to 2011 Period.

Did we have some example of value up after a new movie? (except Batman LOL)

What's so special about this period that makes you think that investing in it is a good idea?
