  1. I remember a thread on here regarding the earliest Nazi covers. I've tried searching the forum, but haven't found the thread. Anybody else remember it and can point me to thread?
  2. 28 low grade 10c and 12c romance comics. $50 shipped in the US. Mix of 15 mostly bronze age readers. The Thor 133 is pretty beat. $25 shipped in the US.
  3. Those are some great books. What is the WIllie book in the lower right? I don't know that one. My collection is not as impressive, but I'll try posting a pic soon.
  4. I would like to find the following date stamps: 6/14 6/28 10/18 Any year would work, but really looking for early/mid 1970s. Marvel would be preferred as well, but would be interested in any publisher.
  5. Yeah, I don't get it either. Who cherry picks at that point if you are first?
  6. Date stamp at 1 year annivesray of D-Day too. Would be cool to have a 1944 book with a June 6th date stamp.
  7. Please tell me that Thrilling is for sale. the Mopsy Hitler and his Nazi bed sheets...
  8. That's a great book. Always loved that cover. Charles Schulz contributed to the interior artwork.
  9. project-rebirth I searched the thread and he has been nominated for this list before. I sold a Moon Girl #5 replica to him on eBay. He hit the BIN. Over Easter he sent me three messages, all saying: "Hi, I received the replica copy of Moon Girl No.5 today. There is a circular scratch mark to the left of the word "Moon" in the title. I can feel the scratch mark with my finger. It is a defect. This circular mark is not in the picture of the replica. I want to return this damaged copy. Please contact me. Robert" No problem. The three messages were a little overkill, but otherwise all is fine. I responded with: "You can send it back. My return address is: XXXXX I'll send another copy." He responded with: "Hi Joe, I mailed the Moon Girl book back to you today. The tracking number is 9500 xxx xxx xxxx Please send me the replacement copy and please check the condition. Thanks, Robert" Again, a reasonable response. Then, the next message out of the blue is: "THE BOOK IS ON ITS WAY BACK TO YOU. I HAVE DECIDED THAT I DO NOT WANT ANOTHER COPY I WANT A REFUND. IF YOU COULDN'T DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME I DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH YOU WITH YOU PEOPLE. I AM OPENING UP A COMPLAINT/BUYER PROTECTION CASE WITH EBAY THIS AFTERNOON. I AM ALSO CONTACTING PAYPAL AND MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY TO REPORT THIS TRANSACTION. I WANT A FULL REFUND INCLUDING MY SHIPPING." Over two days, I get a total of 5 such messages threatening eBay, Paypal and credit card complaints. The book has been refunded and the bidder blocked.
  10. This is a little different and maybe pushing the boundaries of a comic book, but it does tell a story with pictures. This was published Dec 1944 to show that the Lend-Lease program was a success. It is 64 pages and the only colors and black and orange. There are some striking images in the book.
  11. Picked up an early MLJ and Baker book. Very pleased with the transaction.
  12. We don't know exactly what the book sold for, but if it was even close to the asking price, the seller did very well indeed. watchcount.com shows it sold for $650.
  13. Just picked these up... ...from my printer.
  14. Is the interior a comic story? That looks great. I've never seen one before. Who published it ?
  15. BOOT, those are awesome. I've never heard of anything like this. Can you provide some background info? Where were they published? Were they widely distributed? How do you find them? Could provide any more interior pics of the others?
  16. I've never been a Captain Marvel fan (just never read it), but I just picked up a small lot with some communist stories/covers and this splash was in there. I have to say I am really enjoying some of this art. "Stupid American fool!"
  17. I recognize "Forecast for Death" from The Saint #2 And I LOVE the Jane Martin splash page!! Nothing beats a deadly dame in stockings and high-heels! I pulled that "Death" splash from Avon's Hooded Menace. I think I have a couple other Jane Martin splashes already scanned. I'll dig those out too.
  18. Matt Baker race car cover. She would appear to be the driver (holding the helmet), while the man is the photographer.
  19. As good as the splash page is, the text is even better. "The bottomless slime of degradation would seem the natural home of evil. But beauty can be a resting place for the talons of depravity!"
