What I meant is that banks were supposed to be tracking even cash deposits for reporting to the IRS - Not sure that survived whatever it is congress is working on.

There was a proposal (in the infrastructure bill maybe?) that would have required banks to report all deposits and withdrawals of $600 or more. It is a crazy proposal that has not been passed. Couple this with the $600 1099s and it seems like a concerted effort to track your money in every way possible.

    I love reviewing old pricing.

Any idea of what the early/mid 90's jump start to the rise of 101 was?

By 1994, a NM copy of 101 was pushing $200, so it's funny to see it languishing at 50% of the value of 121 and 122 in 1986.

Unless it was movie hype. Tongue in cheek.

    Update #22 Jul/Aug 1992
    #101 $50.00
    #102 $60.00
    Fear #20 $5.00

    Update #23 Sep/Oct 1992
    #101 $75.00
    #102 $65.00
    Fear #20 $7.50

    Update #24 Nov/Dec 1992
    #101 $90.00
    #102 $75.00
    Fear #20 $15.00

    Update #25 Jan/Feb 1993
    #101 $100.00
    #102 $80.00
    Fear #20 $18.00

Morbius' origin was worth more than his first appearance up until fall 1992. I remember Fear #20 getting hot. It was a fun time in the hobby. These old Bulletins and Updates are great to read again.

    Rotated scans again...

I'll pull out some more of the updates and bulletins. I was in high school at the time and doing maybe a dozen shows a year as a dealer. I remember the rise of the 101 coincided with maybe a new series? Fear #20 had become a hot book at the same time. By early to mid 1990s I had stopped doing shows.

Maybe. The only pricing I have for ASM 129 at 15 years old shows it at $220. Hulk 181 was at $200.

    I know 129 was not a key book around 1980, but I can't document 1985.

But there isn't anything that feels genuine about the prices generated by 194 to me.

Even a NM #300 was worth more than $50 by the time it was six years old.

129 was a sub-$100 book until late 1980s. It popped big one year. His mini series is what juiced his popularity. The pics are from Overstreet's Price Bulletin Nos. 1-3. #1 from Summer 1986 - no price break out for #129. #2 from Winter 1986 - #129 is $12 and no breakout for 134 or 135. #3 from Summer 1987 - #129 is $20 (and added "very" to first appearance (:) and 134, 135, 161, 162, 201, 202 and 285 broken out. #238 is $3.50.

Bulletin #1 (not sure why they are rotated)

Bought an item from me on Ebay in October and then just opened  a dispute with ebay and his CC company saying didn't recognize the transaction.  Item was mailed via USPS with signature tracking and item shows it was delivered to the individual.  I responded back to ebay with the tracking information and will see what the buyer's credit card company says. Put the buyer on your block list.  It's not worth the headache.

I just posted an issue with him on Sunday (two posts above yours here). Good luck.

GPA 12 month is $3,596 (18 sales), 90 day is $3,757 (3 sales), last sale is $4,000 (12/10/21). This is an under copy and I've thought about not selling it. Certified Check/MO, wire transfer only on this one. If Paypal is a must, we can talk about that as a payment method. Will consider time payments as well.

Yep… I’d look at copper more often but basically never do because of the ocean of comics I don’t want to sift through.

I think others have said this already but if it was felt change was needed at all I’d rather see 1) GA/SA, 2) BA/CA, 3) Modern, 4) mixed/misc

My preference is G/S/B/C in one forum and Modern in a forum by itself. Otherwise, I'd leave the format as is.

    I wouldn't support just making GA a new sub-forum, for a total of 4 sub-forums incl. MISC.

But I would support a change to (1) GA and (2) SA/BA/Copper and (3) Modern.  For one thing- I might never have to gaze upon another modern comic outside of shows.

Probably reflects my bias - for a long time my world was SA/BA/CA, until I broadened my world to include GA.

I just posted something similar in comics general. To me, the copper buyer has much more in common with G/S/B than modern. That may be my bias as I have little interest in anything post 1990/1991ish (my "golden age" of collecting). I do not support a split for Gold into its own forum. I would support moving modern into its own forum. Otherwise, I would stand pat on the existing format.

Now about all those fancy art books...

I love those early TPBs. Anything up through the early 1990s. Mid-80s through 1992/1993ish and Marvel is the sweet spot. Any more TPBs coming?

    Amazing Spider-man #45 $195

This is a bright, white page copy with lots of gloss. It almost looks as if it came of the stands. There is a faint crease in the middle of the book. Most of it does not break color. I grade the books at 7.5 as it sits, but think it could be improved. If you look just below Spidey's right knee, you can see where there is some minor color break. The books presents very well.
