Issue #16 was another really strong issue, its going to be a long wait till December for the next arc to begin....
Question for those that are up to date:
Is Maria dead? Or was she just drugged and taken captive by the cartel? Hoping the later.
Also, anyone have any info on how long this series is planned to run? 30 issues? 50? 100?

It's definitely one that I really look forward to reading every month.
I can't say that honestly about a lot of other books.

Black Science is another for me. Remender is on fire...

Also agree. This is my favourite read at the moment.

I've been using Ultra Pro Comic Preservers for my collection. People either love them or hate them, but for me I like the sturdiness of them and the fact that the board is built into the bag. Some have said that they're not great for long term archival. Not sure personally.
Anyone else use them?

From the Image website
In 2014, Nick Spencer (MORNING GLORIES, BEDLAM) will team up with three different artists and launch three new thriller series sure to capture readers’ imaginations.A contemporary fantasy epic with a spy thriller aesthetic, PARADIGMS will showcase art by Butch Guice (Captain America, Superman) and explore a world that exists beyond, or more specifically behind, ours. In the shadows where magic is real, warring clans of sorcerers battle for power and the favor of their gods.
A sci-fi thriller of dead worlds, lost secrets, and hidden dangers, CERULEAN, with art by Frazer Irving (MORNING GLORIES, BEDLAM, Batman), follows the last survivors of the destruction of Earth as they struggle to rebuild civilization on a distant planet full of its own mysteries.
In the GREAT BEYOND, featuring art by Morgan Jeske (ZERO, SEX) a "post-life community" values the size of your bank account over morals and values—and your place in the hereafter is determined by it. But then polite society is rocked by the apparent suicide of one of its own.
"I knew I wanted 2014 to be a big year for my creator-owned work, but I never dreamed I'd get the opportunity to work with so many incredible artists! Collaborating with a legend like Butch, a visionary like Frazer, or an exciting new star like Morgan, it just makes you want to tell great stories with them and do the best work you possibly can. And it's always great to be doing it at Image, which has been like home to me the entirety of my career. I really believe in what we're doing here, and I can't wait for people to see what's next."
PARADIGMS, CERULEAN, and GREAT BEYOND are all new, ongoing science-fiction/fantasy series coming to Image Comics in 2014.

I've read a few recent Snyder interviews where he said Fall/Winter 2015. I believe they're aiming to do a six issue arc each year...
-
I was happily reading it for a good while after the flippers had moved on - I'm pretty sure that is what most of us were talking about, not how much cash was won or lost.
+1
Im disappointed that Bedlamis MIA because it was a damn good story, not because I have $20 worth of #1s in a short box somewhere. I actually have a nice stash of OA from issue #1 and I don't regret any of those purchases because it's some of the coolest art in my collection.
I always wanted a good page with Madder Red, but I never found one. The only pages left - while nice - are Fillmore pages.
There are still a few pages left of OA with Madder Red that Ryan Brown did... Pretty sure Ryan is with Cadence Comic Art.
From memory they're the flashback pages of The First tied up at a baseball stadium.

Thanks guys, very happy with it.

Excited to add a page from #1 to my collection.

So I was looking at the con tshirts for Lazarus, and the one with all of the Lazarii on it had a few we haven't been introduced yet, including the 'unknowns' listed in the family back stories.
The one in the middle of the bottom row is in a futuristic...wheelchair?! Now THAT'S going to be an interesting story
I thought they were all present at the poker game after the Conclave Ball? The wheelchair guy won the game.

Thanks for the info, I just submitted a purchase request for a page from #1.
-
Anyone know if Lazarus OA available?
-
Lazarus would make an amazing TV series...
-
Anywhere selling this series digitally? I've tired comixology and even the 215 ink digital comic store with no luck...

Picked up a 9.8 of #1 today and was pleasantly surprised to see '1st appearance of...' notes on the slab.
Is it just me or is it rare for CGC to do that for a modern that is only a few issues in?
-
Anyone pick up the hard cover this week?
Even if you have the trades it is worth it for the extra content at the back...
-
Three month hiatus every six issues
-
Still worth getting your hands on a copy for your collection. The covers are printed on a really good paper stock so the book presents really nicely.
There's a post somewhere around here where Larry explains the full story of the variant...

Picked up a blue 9.8s of 2b and 6b today.
Thanks Ryan for the 2b and whoever listed their 6b on mycomicshop.

Me too... Interesting to note Ryan's pencils say issue 107, but this page ended up being in 106.
