  1. I can see this thread falling off the map during the hiatus. Haha
  2. Grats man. The 4th print is a pain to find.
  3. Hey all. How much is the current market price for a cgc 2.0? I would love to join the club w/ a low grade copy. Love this thread!
  4. As a recent subscriber to CGC. I will say that this is kinda of a turn off. We pay for a membership and we have to pay a premium to fast track our books just so we can get them back in the "regular" time frame for a regular submission? I agree they continue to get business because their competitors are awful. At least with sports cards there were two legit grading companies in BGS and PSA. CGC has a monopoly in the grading world and we pretty much have no choice but to wait it out and hope timeframes are improved. I really feel the pain for those people that have to wait more than half a year to get books back.
  5. If you makes you feel any better all my Wizard World St. Louis WD & all the other books I subbed at the show are all stuck in Quality Control. I can only imagine that it is luck of the draw. What subs get pulled out of the box and put through the system first. Unfortunately it getting really frustrating. I too have Modern Fast Track subs stuck in Grading/ Quality Control that were subbed at WW StL. Those subs were not invoice dated till 3/27 ( the Wednesday after WW StL). I can understand that. It takes time to get them back to Florida. However, I'm now at 15 days for a Modern Fast Track. One more day and I'm basically (as well as everyone else) closer to paying the extra money to get books graded "on time". Considering Fast Track is further and further behind, I really see no relief in sight for improvement on regular submissions, which have become so far out I almost forget they exist. It's come to a point where the only way to get anything in any efficient manner is to pay extra for Fast Track or Express, which it seems more an more people are doing. In a sense the consumers have basically instituted a price increase on ourselves. we are paying a significant amount more for service. Same here, all books I'm waiting for to hit "SHIPPED" are from 3/27. Six invoices, 180 books. When you deal with the volume I do it really sucks when things get shipped out of order. I may ship anywhere from 90 - 150 books a week just for my sub service, and they go in alphabetically in sequential invoices. When things ship out of order (two boxes ship on time, but two boxes lag a week) I can't process that week's books for my customers since I don't have them all for the week. I had three weeks of books shipped to me erratically and by the time I got everything back in order last week I had 16 boxes to break down (over 450 books). Man Dre, I can imagine the amount of books you have shipped to you every month. I'm waiting patiently for my books from saga subscription . Anyway, I subbed a few books received 4/8 and just changed to verified. Hopefully my modern fast track submission meets the turnaround time.
  6. I feel ya. That's What I learned from building my saga run . Buy slabbed Variants and reprints if possible. I'm buying my forbidden planet slabbed once it hits here or on feebay. I don't plan on buying all reprints for EoW, but I did prevorder the second print of #1. Haha
  7. Thanks man. I was wondering who picked up that 4th print SS from Ryan on Ebay. Looks like you did, I was watching that auction HAHA.
  8. Posted this in the CGC modern thread but wanted to share with my fellow saga lovers. Diggin my new yellow label. And I'm actually more excited that the 2 raws #1 4th prints are 9.8 candidates!
  9. I knew someone would point that out I submitted the 3 along with a few others, but it came back a 9.6 ....and I didn't have a 6 that was worthy.... I'll get the 3 & 6, it just will have to wait a bit. Prices for slabbed 9.8s are dropping a bit. So you can get a deal on them during the break. I wouldn't rush. Especially during the break period. Everyone will rush off to the next hot Image book and Saga's prices will wane a little right before the August release date. Just my opinion however. I agree with you! I'm planning on snagging a yellow rrp 9.8 to go with my blue during the break. Hopefully other people would be going HAM and crazy over east of west slabs and I can get a good deal. I'm also planning on hoarding ghost variants. I may buy more RRP Blues. As time goes on, more and more are turning Yellow. True that. I'm holding onto my Blue for sure.
  10. Keeping my fingers crossed there is a San Diego comic con exclusive cover just to tie us over during the hiatus.

  13. I agree their service their rules no matter what anyone cries. Really thought this story didnt need any of the sex scenes or dialogue its using to get the story across. It could easily stand alone without it. But this is great press for Saga watch and see how back issue sales rise over this. But we bought all the back issues.
  14. That preview was awesome. I want moar.
  15. So is issue #12 a key issue because it's the first appearance of gay sex on a tv head ?
  16. Also on the bleeding cool link. Brian mentioned signed copies on the cbdlf site. Can't find anything there
  17. Hhaa that panel is crazy . But apple of all corporations feels the need to censor ? Really?
  18. generally speaking, the strong reviews should prevent that. If you did a speculator round-up, I would guess most people who bought multiples of #1, have or are planning to by multiples of #2 as well. True that. I have 25 copies of 1 but only per ordered 10 copies of 2. Curious to see if they can sustain the print run.
  19. So 50k for issue one and issue two will be 25k ?
  20. I will say this. If east of west raws of#1 start selling for $80 or more like saga at one point. I'm cashing my Chips in to fund another saga rrp.
  21. MAJOR differences between this and Saga: RRP no other variants for #1 Broads LOVE Saga Yup. These are major differences. Aren't there more variants of #1 to come with east of west?
  22. And an Image First printing Im trying to do a full run and I kinda don't want to include the image first in my registry. I've got RRP's 1-9 with issue 10 in transit, and have all the others ready to be graded but undecided as to whether to commit to the other prints. OCD eh? Bad enough I ended up with multiples of some when I could've used that money subbing the others Have to draw the line somewhere! Possibly send 1b-e but that cash can go to buying stuff to read Never understood that whole registry competitiveness but the same logic could be applied to having CGC comics Oh and who is that chick with the Hula Hoop? Yeah , I think registry sets can be a little obsessive but it's fun. If you have candidates of 1b-1E I would sub them. There is a market for additional printings on the board with this series. The girl with the hula hoop is a professional actress of the arts for adults.
  23. ...coming from a guy with a porn star in his sig line.. Haha I know. That's what I was thinking. Haha Great sig btw. I'd smash with the mighty strength of Thor
  24. And an Image First printing Im trying to do a full run and I kinda don't want to include the image first in my registry.
