  1. I think that my 9.8 had a few ink smudges on the back and it wasn't a problem. It may not hurt to post the book in the please grade me section and see what the boards think. Cool thanks! I think my copy could get a 9.8 if it weren't for the inky bits on the back, which are minor compared that one on ebay which is pretty bad. So maybe it could still be 9.8
  2. Is there a way of knowing officially if they're allowing for some print defects on the back on the 9.8s? Cos I'll probably get mine done if they do.
  3. You can't claim a book is "heating up" without looking at historical sales data. Number of bidders and number of watchers shows interest, but tells you jack squat about where a book is in its sales cycle. I see Lyria as a tool to understand what's selling. It's a snapshot of the moment. Well, anything with bids (and no reserve) is going to sell ... I see it more as a list of items that garner a certain amount of attention when they're listed on eBay. But, again, without historical data, it doesn't tell me anything more than that book X has Y number of bids and Z number of watchers. Does this mean a higher or lower ending price than when the last copy of book X was listed? There's no way to tell. Isn't that the definition of something that's heating up? Well, no. Something is heating up if it is starting to sell at higher prices than it has done in the past.
  4. Yup it seems like many of the RRPs have marks on the back cover ranging from minor to absolutely awful.
  5. by selling well i meant more around the $40-50 mark
  6. It's too early for a book like this to pick up heat on the secondary market. The print run was big enough that it'll need to keep getting excellent reviews and a bit of hype to take off. It took Saga quite some time too.

  8. Man I would *love* some OA. It's my favourite current book. In my top 5 comics ever, hell it might even be number 1. Really sad to see it end but excited for anything these guys do together in the future. They compliment each other perfectly.
  9. Any photos of the backs of these 9.8 candidates?
  10. But don't tell anyone cos it's a secret
  11. Exactly how much did you pay? -slym $99.
  12. Have any of the RRPs (or whatever you want to call them) got a perfect white back page? Mine has some slight marks on it. Was a bit gutted cos from the front it looks like a 9.8 but I paid half what others have been paying so not complaining.

  15. what a waste for all that second, third, fourth , image first edition. shame on people doing that to win. What are you trying to say? The Registry is a checklist of all the available slabbed comics in a set. Why is it shameful to own all the books in a set? I'm very proud to have supported Revival enough to own every book, but 3 (not in the registry set yet), released. I might also add that I have every Uncanny X-men book from issue 300 to End including all but a few variants and reprints (I did have from 1 - end before I sold them a few years back). I've always liked thed variant chase. spending money on non sense reprint is waste that is what I'm saying, at least you got a different looking cover. look at Saga, EOW reprints are shame to be exist. Image reprint is just a way they try to suck more money out hard core fan. even they claim that is for increase the new readership. they give no respect to you. I'm sure they are glad you brought every cover that exist. if you like to slab image first books, might as well pull your dollars out and burn them. "I've always liked thed variant chase." <<< a nicely done variant always add value to your collection. 2nd ----- 100th reprints Your grammar is atrocious. It's obvious english isn't his first language so that's bit of a low dig there.
