  1. My guess is because someone messaged the seller last night saying a whole forum is placing bids to win and find out his information to pursue him legally. And the seller either found the forum or just came over to comics general and canceled all the bids from the start of the thread. My guess is they will cancel them from now on and just try to cash out with the few thousand it is at now.
  2. Did anyone submit a tip to Bleeding Cool? I know they mostly report on moderns, but they have posted articles before about things to watch out for (like when the two people were selling fake signed Saga #1s). And they also have a network of other websites that just re-report what they do.
  3. I just noticed the seller has canceled bids from the time this thread was started. http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&_trksid=p2047675.l2565&rt=nc&item=231019679403 They're on this website.
  4. +1 There is something about this movie that I really like. Probably Amy Smart. Seems a lot of people didn't like Chaos Theory, but I thought it wasn't bad. I really thought Chaos Theory was straight to DVD until I just looked it up. I didn't think it was bad either.
  5. The Proposal wasn't bad for the genre. I could sit through it.

  7. I can only dream....few to many beverages one night and a forgotten pre-order. Urgh.... I'll buy them if you want to unload? I have some.
  8. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Watson-and-Holmes-1-Variant-RARE-SOLD-OUT-VERY-LOW-PRINT-/281138436568?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item41752819d8&nma=true&si=5Ngy6Y2td9f2OJTxbd4eh8EvBXc%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 Sold. I don't know what to list my set at.
  9. I'm starting to realize how lucky I am to have the LCS I have. All they really do is push Justice League and the rest are small press. Oni Press always sends them the con exclusives. They had a bunch of the Think Tank #1 variants. Watson and Holmes they had 10 copies left today. And I asked them if they heard of the Locust Moon (seriously minutes away) signing and they had no idea what the store even was. I also picked up a bunch of Todds, but forgot to look at Clone. I know they didn't have the variant because I looked for my PC before.
  10. I just picked up three covers. I'm going to take the 10 block bike ride over to Locust Moon on Saturday for the signing. Anyone else going? I have no idea how many copies they have stashed away. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=121145937047 He's sold 4 sets today in seconds from what I see.

  12. Q. Publisher's Weekly just published their Annual Comics Retailer Survey and noted that "Saga" is one of the most requested books in the 10 stores surveyed. What is it about that book that continues to draw people in, and are there plans to capitalize on that in an effort to introduce readers to similar books from Image? A. I think that's already happening with "Saga," just as it happened with "The Walking Dead." I think it will happen with "East of West," too, because that book is currently tracking very similarly to "Saga." I think what Brian and Fiona are doing on "Saga" is contagious, not just in terms of building the readership for that book, but in raising people's expectations. You read something as accessible and well-considered as "Saga" and it makes you want more comics like that. Well, it just so happens, we've got more where that came from. http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=46678
  13. So we have 30 as of Hulk44 posting. The new member said he had 20. And you figure Larry is going to post a picture of an unopened Diamond box in the next few hours. We have 80% of the print run.
  14. Well let's start. I have 17 copies. I know Hulk44 has 1 because I sold him a set a few weeks back. And I sold 7 copies of #1 in early February.
  15. A cartoon on Disney or Adult Swim to be as popular as TWD?
  16. The Sixth Gun had a network looking at it. Isn't TODD just picked up by a production company? Much like Hoax Hunters, Rachel Rising, and whatever else has happened recently? And the company has done work in the past with Disney or whatever and Adult Swim.
  17. No, although that series was good, once it was completely fleshed-out. No, in Wolverine's series that was going on around the time of Civil War, there was a story arc about him dieing. Everytime he was "dead", or came close to it, before he totally regenerated he had to fight the angel of death on some spiritual battlefield. "dieing" I'm pretty sure in the current arc they have him dying. Why did you STOP posting like THIS?
  18. They'll switch #7 when #6 gets closer. They have done that for #4, #5, and #6 already.
  19. http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Lot-EAST-OF-WEST-1-5-WALKING-DEAD-108-NM-NEXT-HIT-LIKE-TODD-THE-UGLIEST-KID-/271239937924?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item3f2728ff84 Well this seller was just getting person_without_enough_empathyed at in the Clone thread for one of his listings. And now he has a listing for EoW and TWD. "Next Hit Like Todd The Ugliest Kid"
  20. I don't know if anyone is going to be able to find these in stores like TSG or RR. This was a $12-15 title the week of release. I sell everything fast now though. Production companies will always be picking up the next title and it will be forgotten about a few weeks later (Hoax Hunters, Rachel Rising, TSG on SyFy, and everything else from the last 3-6 months) until a network orders it.
  21. I think I sold you a set too. Or few. I forget.
  22. I sold mine to a boardie from France a few months ago. I got so lucky because the mall comic book store was putting back someone's pull list that never picked up. It was probably #1-8 or #1-9, but I definitely got $90-100 + shipping.
  23. I rarely bid on eBay, but when I do I always do the same thing. I bid early with about half the amount I am willing to spend. This is in hopes if the item is flooded another bidder sees someone else really wants it and goes to another item with no bids yet. It usually works and I spend a lot less than I wanted to.
  24. I hope it has a slight comeback. I listed all the prints (except the two of the #1 variants and the Thought Bubble) and a sealed Image Yearbook on here a few weeks ago for $90 with no buyer.
  25. WTTB. About a year too late getting a PP #1 9.8 for that price range. TV show on TV show.
