  1. If you need a 9.8 #1 first print: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Todd-Ugliest-Kid-Earth-1-CGC-9-8-/181113879341?_trksid=p2047675.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D11%26meid%3D6718153803571053690%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D1005%26rk%3D2%26sd%3D121084510423%26
  2. Todd the ugly kid has awesome 2nd prints. I definitely agree with this statement! (thumbs u +1 on TODD 2nd print. Noice!
  3. http://www.comicbooktherapy.com/exclusive-ken-kristensen-talks-todd-the-ugliest-kid-on-earths-origin-110442 Not sure if this was posted. Pretty big interview with Ken .

  5. +1 Nice book and one heck of a funny story. I'd like to do more quotes from it, but don't want to disrespect Ken's work while still some boardies have yet to read the story themselves. All of the PRISON scenes and dialogue are laugh out loud funny stuff. Just read the 3 issues up to date..or check out comixology. Can't wait for TODD to get abducted by ALIENS...this Brown Bagger can't wait.
  6. Dun get too excited. I am the winner of this auction. I bid high because the cost of doing CGC from Singapore is about USD110 including shipping, with no guarantee of 9.8. So USD92 is more economical for me. Awesome pickup all the same. And keep in mind that the other individual was willing to pay $1 less than you..so plenty of people competing for it. It was a nice purchase!
  7. On of the best #1s I've read in awhile. Exceeded my expectations. Great artwork and even better story. Action orientated and thought provoking. Felt like there was a huge amount of story packed into one single issue. 36 pages(?) At any rate, felt like I got 2 issues in 1. Just awesome.
  8. MOST impressive, TODD #1 sold earlier for $92 !!!!! with 18 bidders in the battle and not the best of auction pictures: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Todd-The-Ugliest-Kid-on-Earth-1-CGC-9-8-/181108379891?ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBUAA:US:3160 A #2 a couple days ago: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Todd-The-Ugliest-Kid-on-Earth-2-CGC-9-8-/300878479247?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item460dc13f8f And a 2nd print #1 a couple days ago: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Todd-The-Ugliest-Kid-on-Earth-1-CGC-9-8-2nd-printing-/300878477166?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item460dc1376e Great to see the interest in collecting the title.
  9. "Your baldness gives me diarrhea. There I said it." Ah gawd. Finally received/read #3 and reread 1 and 2. There is some HILARIOUS stuff in these books and the few quiet references to movie scenes are sweet!! In other news, a bidding war for TODD's bag: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Todd-The-Ugliest-Kid-on-Earth-1-CGC-9-8-/181108379891?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item2a2ae690f3
  10. THIS. For the completionist like myself, it does get tough on the wallet. I typically have to also dole out for 2nd prints as well. Have for both issue 1 and 2 preorder and proud to! That said, I'd feel out as a collector not being on equal footing attending cons, etc securing variants at will..and for cover type prices. Is that selfish, you bet it is. Guilty as charged. Do I want to see TODD get into more hands, yup. Maybe a variant helps that at a con...tough decision Ken/MK. I vote strongly against it (selfish). The explanation now for the cover of #1 by Ken is brilliant..I should have spotted that more clearly! Bring on the TODD Alien Abduction arc I say.
  11. You gotta be poopin me? I thought we were at 2? WOW. I canceled my Forbidden Planet order for those variants just because I was frustrated with the 2nd one that was announced. Either way, still is the most anticipated (yet released) title for me. Yep, Ken and MK did readers right. They said it and then did it. No variants. Hickman said he didnt't plan any..then...well, we are at 4 now!!!? I'm on board, but bottomed also for Hickman and Image on that decision. TODD is a standout.
  12. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Todd-Ugliest-Kid-Earth-1-CGC-9-8-/181108379891?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D163%26meid%3D6516517193887317105%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D1088%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D300878477166%26 WOW, 17 bids and 10 different bidders already with 3.5 days to go??!!!! I think the #1 is only a bit over 2 months old! If you are a reader of this title and an ebay, consider hitting the "Watch" button and maybe..just maybe it will end up on the lyria exchange most watched modern books. That would be impressive. What I am impressed by is the TEN different bidders. In other words, plenty of interest in it already with alot of time left. Second printing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Todd-The-Ugliest-Kid-on-Earth-1-CGC-9-8-2nd-printing-/300878477166?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item460dc1376e Print runs on issue #1 first print: Todd The Ugliest Kid On Earth 1 $2.99 Image 7,879 Print runs on issue #2 first print: Todd The Ugliest Kid On Earth 2 $2.99 Image 6,177 Sure, Chew is like TODD to me in that both make me laugh out loud. That said, TODD is FAR more personable (is that a word)...in other words..makes me think/feel. I like both but am on board with TODD from the very beginnings. Another plus.
  13. Dudeeeeeeeeeeeee, I was going to actually send a PM to Ken on this. No joke. I just didn't. I for one dont want to cramp Ken's writing, believe me he doesnt need any help at all in his writing skills and imagination. So I stopped myself. But yeah, TODD being abducted would be insane..I mean hilarious!! I've said it before, TODD is like the Peter Panzerfaust character...he could be dropped into many different types of situations, places, events, new relationships. Not a superhero with certain, specific super powers we're all completely aware of roaming around NY day in and day out (not that I don't like that also). OK, it's a VERY poor comparison, but you get my drift. No pigeon-holing with the TODD character.
  14. That's a great observation.. I would rather that Todd's appearance never gets addressed I think this would add so much to the title and the enigma of the character. I find it hilarious and endears me to Todd that he is so clueless. He's the epitome of looking at the world through "rose colored glasses", assumes everyone is benevolent as himself. I love the series so far and really hope it goes for a long time. THIS ABOVE I don't ever want to see TODD's face...not because I couldn't stand the sight. The other boardie has an interesting angle though about a last ish reveal..interesting...BUT..once..and if and when that happened..no going back really. If there ever was a lengthy hiatus after a last issue reveal...kind of changes things IF and when the creators came back and rebooted it. We're getting ahead of ourselves. I like the direction and not knowing..check back with me after ish 100. By then I figure will have all kinds of TODD paraphenilia (sp)...TODD action figures, movie, full clothing line and action bag head, etc.
  15. Ivan, you have amazing writing skills and should be in the business! I couldn't agree with you more about what you said about being saddened...but in a good way...if that's possible. We know that was the partial intent/objective of #3. This isnt action superhereos sipping their latest venom cocktail (though I like that genre as well and grew up with Spidey and Hulk!)...the material in TODD get me thinking/feeling a bit with each issue. OK, need to take a break from the boards and get some work done. OH yeah, and I also like the 2nd printing cover even more that the initial release. Although the 2nd print #1 may be hard to find at local comics shops, I think tfaw still hand some. ..and at cover no less. I preordered 2nd print #2 from them.
  16. +1. I'll be reading it. 101 variants or just the 2.
  17. You know, I was looking at MK's work. Now I am wondering what %.... if any... is digitally rendered, Ken? Thought I'd take a step back and not assume how the art is actually rendered and I'd be lying if I said I know of other work MK has completed. I'm new to his art.
  18. WOW, thanks mashed and welcome to the boards! (thumbs u
  19. Atta boy M.K. Looking at that battle ax....scaryyyyy. Shiny as all get out REAL SHARP looking. M.K. "seems" just as much inspired by "painting" his artwork as he is penciling it. Tenebrism master in the making if not all ready. Sixth Gun Colorist Crabtree has those abilities/technique as well producing "drama" and visual excitement where some other pencilers or colorist just can't swing it. This comes natural for MK. Not to mention his abilities in three dimensionality conveyance through amazing clothing rendering (specifically, but not limited to....draping). Yes the STORY about TODD and company is amazing and unique..however I hope lovers of artwork also are experiencing the beauty between the covers. His style of artwork LOOKS like to requires quite a bit of time.
  20. NICE!!! BUT, without a photo...didn't happen senor. Ha, I don't disagree. Just purchased it this week so it's still making it's way through the mail. Should arrive by tomorrow according to tracking estimates at which time I'll be happy to post a photo. It came earlier than expected. Sorry for the glare on the photo. Bad pic..nice purchase..great decision.
  21. Makes my laugh and smile through out reading an issue.....The humor I think is not for everyone but is right in my wheelhouse..The art and the atmosphere created matches the writing perfectly! This post just nailed it.
  22. Grab 1, 2 and then #3 from stack and READ. Unique story with legs. NOOOOOOOOOOOO this isn't your Charlie Brown here folks. I'm along for TODD's adventures. READ ALL 3 issues. #4 out on the 17th. A strong showing right off the bat selling out #1 and #2. Top of my reading stack right now along with Sixth Gun, Superior Spider-man (yes I said that), Helheim and waiting on East of West....of the newer titles I am enjoying. (Note: I do happen to like Charlie Brown though).
