  1. The first 4 issues can be found for only $10 new in TPB form.

Btw, #5 was so funny I almost wet myself. :roflmao:

And the new trade paperback, collecting #5-8 will come with a change of underwear. Look for it May 7th!

TODD UNDEROOS!?! Once you sell your soul to Charlie Rose's table the marketing never stops :roflmao:

  2. I think much of it is speculator driven which suits me fine since I kept picking up #1 regulars and Ottleys until the LCS was sold out, didn't get a LBCC though but that's the breaks. It's a great book, very well done with a smaller print run compared to the more hyped up Image #1's, and the variant count in minimal.

I gotta hand it to Image, their quality to ratio is astounding. The dozen or so books I get from them each month, or whenever they come out, weren't even around a year and a half ago except for Walking Dead.

Bedlam, Revival, Clone, Todd, Sheltered, Peter Panzerfaust, Ten Grand, Jupiter's Legacy, Sex Criminals, Velvet, Dead Body Road, Manifest Destiny

Reminds me of the old Marvel days when 80% of what they did kicked

  3. January and February seems to be the time for flipping of "hot" books; see 2013: Revival, Peter Panzerfaust, Nowhere Men. Sure I wish I bought the LBCC when it was only 40-50 raw but was afraid I'd be stuck with another worthless "Three", or even worse "Helheim."

I like the book and think it has potential, but there's still way more Image titles in the last year that I enjoy way more (Sheltered, Ten Grand), but that's me.

A fool and his money: Nowhere Men slabbed CBLDFs

  4. 2015

    Much sooner, thanks.

    :whee:

We get butthurt when it's late because we love the book and Madder Red so much, probably my favorite character since Rorschach. For me it has nothing at all to do with the secondary market.

So glad to hear it's gonna be back

  5. Bedlam was a big word-of-mouth book and I know several people who picked it up who hadn't bough any comic book in years, but because of the delays new readers were lost as quickly as they were gained. For example, my brother was only going to the LCS so many times with a 5 year old in tow to look for something that wasn't there before he said F-it.

How many of us will be wary of buying big into Spencer's new Image series, 3 of them I think, because of the unreliability factor?

If this is the end for Bedlam, I don't know what "down the road" really means, it's the Sex Pistols or X-Ray Spex of comics. Too-brief greatness and wondering what else could have been. Of course, the caveat is that it could have been the Clash who left us with a few horrible albums after their peak. Don't tell me you can make it all the way through Sandinista without wanting to smash it! :kidaround:

  6. Todd #1 had a print run of only 7879, plenty of us here have multiple copies of Todd #1, some even have 20, 25 or more (I got 5), it's not too far off base to say that the bulk of Todd #1's are in the hands of 1000 or so people, maybe even less

There's nowhere for this book to go but up, every issue is a tiny print run

Hopefully more than 1000 people are reading this book. If not, wow ! How can there be this many people are missing the boat ?

I'm still getting 5 of each issue for complete sets, but I hope new readers who hopped on board after the TPB came out are picking it up.

It's going to take a while for the TV show to come out, it can't get done in a week...

Homer Simpson: "Is this episode going on the air live?"

"No, Homer. Very few cartoons are broadcast live, it's a terrible strain on the animators' wrists."

  7. I still read and enjoy Peter Panzerfaust, although the start of the newest arc is kinda ehhhhh.

Nowhere Men I dumped at its peak thankfully

Sheltered is one I think will take off once there's TV show talk and more people take a look and see what a great series it is

Sheltered, Clone, Bedlam and Manifest Destiny are books I look forward to reading every month (or every 2 1/2 months with Bedlam) whether they're ever worth a mint or not

  9. Todd recreations of Detective 27, Amazing Fantasy 15, Captain America #1, Walking Dead #1, Howard the Duck #1... I know McFarlane did the Spawn cover swipes, but this is TODD, and they'd look awesome and hilarious. Just a thought
