  1. If you are saying Robin isn't unique because there have been multiple people as Robin, then the same holds true with Batman. There have been multiple people as Batman. Now I haven't bought a Batman comic in 20 years but when I was buying them I don't think (or at least cannot remember) there being 2 (or more) Robins running around at the exact same time. So I think we need some more clarification on what you mean by your statement.
  2. I may be in the minority but I hated the originial one. It really made me think long and hard about seeing the new one. However I gave in and went to the new Dune and was absolutely thrilled.
  3. That or I was just thinking, isn't this one of the awards where people like have to log on and vote or call or something. I could see her winning that. I don't really see the demographic of John Wick (for example) going online and voting where-as I could see the "tweens" voting for her. I guess it "makes sense" but still even as a "people's choice" to give her an award over some of those others that did major stunts is kind of crazy.
  4. This movie was too good to only make $430 million. I certainly hope that the 2nd one (if it has the same quality as the first one) makes a whole lot more now that we are a few years removed from the illness of "unknown origins".
  5. WTF?? Was it voted on by bots? How did she beat out any number of action films in 2023 (including John Wick 4)?
  6. Honestly at this point I think Sony is just laundering money/tax write offs with these movies. I mean seriously who at Sony said "Well let's have the same guys that wrote Morbius do this one for us!".
  7. Yeah, I'd rather have seen more Luke Evans as Dracula than Tom Cruise as Mummy (or whatever he was going to end up being). But to get this thread back on track, I've heard that Sony has called up these two writers again to take another crack at a "Spider-verse" villian. Third time's a charm, fellas!
  8. You must be one of the only ones it surprised. But I get it, we all like different (not great things). Not to bust on only you, but I enjoyed Dracula Untold. Neither movie is what I'd call "Cenematic Gold".
  9. Dude I'm not judging you, if I was doing that I'd have brought up your cosplaying as Gerald Butler from the "Gods of Egypt".
  10. Wait, so CGC has told you that your FF5 has been "missing" since July of 2023 and they cannot locate it going on 8 months later but they are confident it was not stolen. Sounds like BS to me.
  11. I have no idea why this movie bombed. I mean the guys (Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless) that wrote the movie have such a huge roll call of hits to their name;
  12. So I finally watched this movie last night in my home theater. Powerful, powerful movie. It didn't even feel close to being 3 hours long, I was so engrossed in it. Nolan has to be considered one of the best directors of all time based on his entire body of work.
  13. Not sure if you are seriously asking about "how you mess up this movie". This movie was DOA when it was announced.
  14. Snippet from Rolling Stone review. "It is the Cats: The Movie of superhero movies". "The sole amazing factor of this Spider spinoff is that someone, somewhere signed off on actually releasing it." OMG, I'm dying here.
  15. I'm really surprised people were paying that much so close to the opening of the movie. When the first trailer dropped and we could see how horrible this movie was going to be, everyone should have been in sell mode. I'm going to assume these were speculators who bought these, so yeah, burn baby burn.
  16. Exactly, the only thing I remember Madam Web from was the 2 part storyline in Amazing Spider-man (back in the 80s) where Spider-man fights the Juggernaut.
  17. The Jermey Jahns guy on youtube was brutal on this film.
  18. Exactly, the more work you put in on the front end the more money you'll get back out on the back end.
  19. If that is true then OSHA will be all over them, and if OSHA fines them for work place safety then the civil lawsuit has as extremely good chance of making them pay.
