  1. So did they roll over and take the AI stuff or did the studios take it off the table?
  2. Why would you make an 11 hour round trip to go see a bad movie (or even a good movie)?
  3. Yeah, still can't figure out how to embed youtube, so just ignore this post. Was going to post trailer.
  4. Black Widow should have gotten her movie right after "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". That was peak time/interest in her as a character. Feige dropped the ball hard.
  5. I'm sorry for the smaller actors and also the people that work on movie sets (the production) that this is carrying on so long. However saying that, yes I could go another year and still not be caught up on all the stuff out right now that I want to watch.
  6. Knowing nothing about how SAG and Hollywood works, if nothing is settled, could the studios make movies/TV shows with non-SAG actors? Is that even a thing or is it an impossibility because of how things are written up and what not?
  7. Right. The millions of people that pushed "Captain Marvel" 1 to a $150 million domestic opening have suddenly turned misogynistic for "The Marvels". That is the narrative you are going with?
  8. OK, so my sons wanted to catch this and since it is now on Netflix we gave it a look. I know I am by far in the minority but I didn't think this was a very good movie and was bored out of my mind the entire time. Maybe it is because I didn't see the first one, or maybe it is because I stopped collecting new comics before Miles or Spider-Gwen came out, but wow I am so glad I didn't spend money on three tickets for this thing. Would not recommend (not that it matters).
  9. So would you say it was the "One-Two Punch" of Barbenheimer that killed MI7's chances at the B.O.?
  10. Not surprising due to the general apathy towards MCU right now. The big question is "how much lower?" I mean are we talking a loss of 5% viewership or 30%? And yikes, just read the article, a 39% drop. Wow!
  11. I mean it all goes back to a question I've asked before, who is this movie for? What exactly is the target audience? Even if this movie does more than a $50 million opening weekend, I have to expect that it is going to see a HUGE drop off come weekend number 2.
  12. And with the renewed "boardroom proxy battle" with Nelson Peltz and Ike Perlmutter (who has given voting control of his Disney stock to Peltz, and is looking for his pound of flesh for being canned when Iger got back), the stock price dropping, box office profits non-existant, and D+ bleeding billions every year, Iger isn't looking to hot.
  13. Iger should have stayed retired and let Chapek take this hit, but it seems like Iger's EGO cannot be stopped.
  14. Now take it with a grain of salt, but "Bounding Into Comics" is saying a $45 to $50 million domestic opening for "The Marvels". I would be stunned if it was that low (I'm thinking in the $70ish range), but still even if it is in the 70's this movie is going to tank so hard. Last report on budget I saw was they had spent $275 million (but that only accounted for everything done up until September of 2022). You know by now they have spent upwards of $300 million or more (not counting the ad budget).
  15. Yeah an article I read said the $8.6 billion was basically just a "holding fee". A full on appraisal will be done in 2024 and Disney will have to pay the difference of the appraisal minus the $8.6 billion they are paying now. So they could still end up paying quite a bit more.
  16. And it is being reported that the director left the film while it was still in post-production so she could go start a new film. Perhaps to give her "deniablitly" if it tanked. Variety Article
  17. Never been much of a Hulk collector, assuming that this wasn't a bogus listing is $11K good/bad/neutral for a CGC 3.0 Hulk 1?
  18. While I will not see this one (didn't like the first one, and I refuse to watch a movie that even has 1 second of Amber Turd) at least this movie does have Jason Momoa to help it. He seems like a charismatic character and a nice dude (unlike that Flash twit Ezra). So that will help it some, but no, much like "The Marvels" I see no way this movie rises to the same box office as the first one.
