  1. Especially when paired with someone that legit can sing, Lady Gaga. I'm not a fan of her music (don't like it, don't hate it) but she has some pipes on her for sure.
  2. Obviously if that is true then the Studios are playing/planning a much longer term game. I know CEOs can be bull headed, but if you have the choice to pay $47 million over 3 years, or lose $300 million in 4 months any sane person would pick the $47 million. Or it could be a case as simple as all the executives are being paid out the butt and this strike will not personally affect them so "screw the little guy".
  3. Yeah, I'd say the Critical Drinker nails a lot of valid points.
  4. Take Spider-man out of there and ugh, live action superhero movies have bombed this year.
  5. Yes, it would be hard to pull Captain America and Thor and Iron Man from the Marvel Brand "Now" that they have each had at least 3 movies under their belt, with significant roles in the team ups, I'd still argue that before the movies, in the comic book world they were "B" level. Marvel's "A" team was Spider-man and X-men (including Wolverine). So we will just have to agree to disagree.
  6. Bosco, I love you man, but in this instance I have to disagree. I've been a HUGE fan of Captain America all my life, my Mt. Rushmore of superheroes are; Superman, Captain America, Thor, Captain Marvel/Shazam. I have thousands of comics/memorabillia that includes them (including some artist commissioned pieces of the 4 of them). In saying that, there is no way that at any point in the last 50 years Captain America or Thor or Shazam (and some would argue Superman as well) been "A" list characters in the comics. Yes they have all had some very good runs (Captain America with Waid and Garney, Superman with Byrne, Thor with Simonson, Captain Marvel with, well I have always just enjoyed the "wish" fulfillment of his character), but comic wise they are not "A" listers. Phase 1-3 of the MCU threw them out there to the public and that is when people started taking notice.
  7. This movie has been so huge you know the studios are going to do what they always do. I am sure there is a scramble to get/find the rights to things like "Jem", or "Bratz", or other things like that.
  8. Just watched Equalizer 1 again yesterday, will watch #2 today or tomorrow and catch this one this week.
  9. Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know Disney had purchased this board and we could only post Happy Happy Joy Joy comments about the Disney Star Wars shows. Didn't mean to upset you Bobby Iger, I'll try and do better next time with the amaze ball products you are putting out.
  10. Are you freaking kidding me? The same writers that wrote that BS space battle think they need more money? "Hey instead of doing the logical thing and having the three ships blow up Ashoka from a kilometer away with which would be easy because her ship cannot move. Instead let us have them zoom at her and she cuts them in half." Disney Star Wars is just awful. Screw this junk.
  11. Yeah, I did not see that coming at all. But to be honest I didn't see Barbie being the absolute juggernaut that it was either.
  12. I fully agree here. In both Obi Wan where Vader stabs 3rd Sister and in this one where Sabine gets stabbed they both live. Yet in the Phantom Menace we see a lightsaber melting blast doors. "Oh but that doesn't count because they held the lightsabers in the doors a long time!". Yeah like I'm supposed to believe that a human/body has a high melting point? This is total baloney.
  13. The first Highlander was good, but what pushed it over the top into epic was the Queen soundtrack.
  14. I didn't go to this in the theaters. I had thought about watching it on Max, but after seeing some of the really bad CGI Clips that are starting to hit Youtube and my extreme dislike of Ezra, this won't even be a MAX view.
  15. Not a comic book meme in any way at all, however seeing as how I grew up in the 80s I thought this was pretty funny.
  16. I'll be interested to check this out, I'm a huge fan of Norse Mythology.
  17. I really don't know much about what this will be about, but visually that looked amazing! This will absolutely be a watch the 1st weekend it hits.
