Great contest again. Thank you ThirdGreenHam and Sckao. This is my 2nd year and learned a lot since my rookie season last year. It has been frustrating at times but always fun. I donated my time via comic pressing in the past and it has been fun getting to know board members so I am offering up my services again: PRIZE A: Free comic book pressing on 7 modern books (average pressing cost is $12 to $15). Free pre-screening by email. Winner to pay for shipping including return shipping. Please allow 2-4 weeks. Bonus 20% off CGC modern grading fee if winner chooses to have books shipped to and graded by CGC. USA only except if winner decides to have CGC grade books and have CGC ship back to them. Winner must coordinate with CGC for international shipping rates. Estimated value: $84 to $133. Past winners in the past include the Amazing Toro: can grade though plastic and cardboard. Toro has kindly agreed to endorse this prize.

PGM The New Teen Titans #2
spidermanbeyond replied to Djstouty's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
6.5-7.0, book needs a good press and possibly improve to 7.5-8.0. 8.5 not out of the question but need band in hand to say. I can help with a good press =) if you need. -
Thanks for coming out and showing the video. Yes, please post on how to open the new CGC case. I have the hardest time as well and afraid of getting hurt from flying pieces.
-
I agree. I saw the video and it seems like he just showing how easy it is to open and not attacking any company. I have mainly CGC slabs but few others and would like to know if my case is vulnerable to manipulation. People who crack regularly know. I have never cracked one yet. Joey posted how easy it was too. No one listening until someone posted a video.
-
Yes, new CGC cases are very hard to open without signs of cracking. The old CGC cases much easier.
-
Yes, it can be popped in and out with no signs. Very scary as that is the whole point of encapsulation.

Hi Guys, There is an interesting discussion going on Voldy . I am not providing any link or any other information. The video has been pulled but you can still see if some searching. Anyway, it shows how to easily swap a label similar to when Comic Keys showed it. The only reason I bring it up here is that we are all in this hobby together and anything that is nefarious is bad for us all.

2017 Green Eggs Grading Contest Round 6
spidermanbeyond replied to thirdgreenham's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
CGC hammers it based on how long they are and those were kind of long. I should have knock it down more but was reluctant after undergrading several books.- 127 replies

Hello, how much is Mark Hamill charging for CGC SS signature? Thanks.
-
I will be there Friday and can accept the books from you but if you are attending the con, CGC will have a table and you just need to come to the table and ask for a witness. There is no charge if you get someone from the table. You need a witness here if you need someone to get the signatures for you and you can't do it yourself.

2017 Green Eggs Grading Contest Round 3
spidermanbeyond replied to thirdgreenham's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
Hey Andy, Over 60% thought that the Babloo was 9.0 or better. Can you educate us on the reason that the Babloo got a 8.0 grade? We can speculate but as always one needs the book in hand. Thanks. -
2017 Green Eggs Grading Contest Round 2
spidermanbeyond replied to thirdgreenham's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
Ok, I was thinking 9.2 but went to 9.0 so off by 0.4. This is considered 2 grades off, same as 1.0 miss of 5.5 vs 6.5. That does not quite seem fair. One is way off the grade vs the other. Sorry, gotta complain.- 132 replies

Cracked case. What is fair compensation ?
spidermanbeyond replied to Bomber-Bob's topic in Comics General
Get it reholder especially if they are paying for the shipping. I had the same thing from ComicLink. Probably damaged from just handling. Slabs are easily cracked, even just from stacking flat. -
Hello, I will be accepting books for CGC SS witnessing if you are not able to attend personally. Will need books by 8/30/2017. Thank you.
