What are your thoughts on the staying power of Beta and/or Whisperers?
In the back matter they reference that it will become apparent soon why he was so bugged out about having his mask removed.
I could see him cutting bait on the Whisperers soon
-
Any predictions for this thing?
I say:
Beta does not die, but becomes a big player
Also, one of the communities takes big losses
-
Very under-ordered + variant effect + new character + first to market + Valiant fans = insanity
-
How big do we see Beta becoming? Any reason to start hoarding Walking Dead #154?
This is a good question. My opinion in spoiler tag including spoiler for TWD 159
I'm calling a typical Kirkman move and having him die anyway even though he escaped death by Lucille
-
This is the kind of book that will have a second life...ultimately it will have a media presence whether movie or TV. Better to do it this way than to have it flounder for another 200 issues
-
May have to eat my own words because I'd be shocked if she wasn't dead.
She's dead, but maybe her twin isnt.
It would be very TV show of them to have it actually be her twin sister that was beheaded
-
I revealed no spoilers. Only advice to sell now before the value of those issues goes down.
Your curious minds are to blame.
I'm sure you're a nice guy or gal in the real world, but you surely seem to post nothing but "gotchas" and "pump and dump" vitriol that comes off as really really negative.
I forgive the obvious spoiler, but it wasn't cool

Helps to be first to market! I'd submit mine if I thought he wasn't going to be gutted within the next arc
Damn, baby!

Thank you, so what is the typical turnaround time for fast track prescreens than?
The posted time for that tier (plus maybe a week or so)
For example- right now fast track modern pre-screen SHOULD run about 30 business days or so
How is 30 days considered fast track?
Modern fast track is being quoted 25 days right now. Technically a pre-screen can add "up to double the TaT for that tier" but it seems to land right about +5 business days

Forgot to add my MFT invoice is still at graded, not even QC yet at 21 days
-
With all the books being redone is there much benefit to paying the $10 expedited fee? Or are they still getting moderns back in a month if you go the fast route?
Not sure there's a benefit right now. I'm at business day 21 today, the quoted MFT said 15 business days total when I subbed, and it has since been modified to 25 business days. Modern slow-track shows 40 business days...less than twice the time of MFT. I suppose it is taking them extra time to add the CGC patented "waves" to the books.
-
Anyone have Modern Fast Track and Value Fast track books from 5/10 or sooner shipped back to them yet?
I have 2 MFT invoices received 5/13 that are still Graded not even moved to QC yet
I'll gladly wait a bit for a safe batch of books

This is the only store I have come across that does this. So, my question to you is if there is no price tag on the book why would it not be cover price? All their new books from 2016 are not marked with a price tag nor was there a sign on any shelf advising what was new.
The only books with price tags were variants. Wall books near the ceiling had a few priced, but the majority not.
Out of all their long boxes only two were marked $10-15.
They can charge what they want...it's their property until you agree to purchase it
I am not to sure about that. Canadian Laws are not always the same as the US. Either way I have contacted Retail Council of Canada to verify if this type of Business practice is acceptable.
That's a fairly awesome waste of your time. Must not be any good movies in the theater up in the great white north.

I'm not sure I understand this.
Aren't copies available on midtown/etc?
-
then why all the whining?
you should be pleased.
You're upset because somebody posted the info, when it should have been you?
You were the guy "hanging."
Any & all questions should be directed to you.
I wouldn't have had a problem with the post if it had been more accurate and not trying to rip people off into thinking that only a few copies were out there. Be honest from the start and say that over 100 were sold, don't imply that it's in the dozen area, and then let people bid accordingly.
Seems like the only ones with their panties in a bunch are you and the Comic BS I guy who won't be able to gouge potential suckers
its Comic-B.S.-I. Please use the proper hyphens and periods in future sentence structures.
BTW I did see a few people with copies of the Preacher WW comic con box variant that had the Preacher and Vertigo logos on the front. And by that I mean "only a few"
Weird. I'm sure we're only just starting to begin to see the flood of new Preacher #1 reprints.
I know we've all moved on to Rebirth.
But that virgin Preacher 1 reprint is making some people a tidy profit on Ebay.
I believe it was stated that it was $20.00 per at WWPhilly.
If that was the case at least one guy has made about $500 bucks +/- on the bay.
Heck, the 'free' reprint is selling for 5.00 per. Hilarious.
Yeah, probably should've bought 5 or 10 of them for the quick sale. Curious to see what they sell for when it's officially released in the WW box.
"If" they follow the same pattern as the BA 12 reprint, there will be a full color with title logos, the virgin variant and a sketch variant
Ahhhh,
The Secret Origin of your i-ness: Yeah, probably should've bought 5 or 10 of them for the quick sale.
You were right there.
Opportunity staring you down.
You couldn't pull the trigger.
Others did.
You got really, REALLY cranky & needed a nap.
You're better now.
Secret Origins rule!
What's it like being a compete miserable cockhead your entire life? Your history of public racist remarks is well documented, it's a miracle that you're still here and aren't on probation again. It's gotta be killing you to hold your db tongue.
I chose to not "pull the trigger" on multiples of these reprints, it's not like I didn't have the opportunity, they were there for days puta. Should I have made a few bucks? Sure. Will I lose sleep over it? Nope.
The $30 I paid for a Herr Starr sketch is worth more to me than getting a couple of books to flip.
If you don't get that, and I'd gather that you don't, then you never will.
Go peddle your Jesus Island toilet paper.
You're a joke
Your history of public racist remarks is well documented,
"Lonzilla",
I engaged in an online debate about Miles Morales & went way over the top trying to be funny....
Once.
This reminds me of a movie quote----
"My mother hung me on a hook once...
Once"

TWD 100 second print is cooling considerably...last two sales of A cover CGC 9.8 1st print were $60 and $70.
How is it possible 132 and 138 are out shining 100 at the moment?

Adlard just posted the 157 cover on his Twitter and holy mess!!!!!!!
https://mobile.twitter.com/CharlieAdlard/status/732466554101596160
So I guess Negan doesn't kill Alpha...maybe he's actually in love?
Or that's Alpha's twin sister.
Her first appearance in cameo (it's just her big toe) is in issue 128.
Her first full appearance (in skin suit) was 131
Her first full appearance (without speaking) was 134
Her first full appearance with speaking was 137
Her first appearance in a test tube was #1 at the hospital

Strike? I find it hard to believe.
http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=9348086#Post9348086
only strike 2? i find that hard to believe
Two strikes fell off in February and April respectively. He got his third in October. Then was good until now. So just "2nd".
I know something recently only counted as a wrist slap...anyone know what the offending subject matter was?

I'd be willing to bet I'm as long as anyone on both...even James.. but check out #140
Technically it is the first appearance, but it's not up to him which one is more desirable to the populace.
Maybe you can come over later and we can compare stacks

Hello
What's the easiest way to do a PRE-SCREEN with the new system? I don't see it as an option.
Thanks!
