This was the first of two waves of creator guests, the second will be released in September.

While I do have an opinion on this, I’m paid to give it to the boss first and let him make a decision.

CGC is only doing a handful of events this year, the only one of ours was Megacon.

He will be doing some signings at the Comic Sketch Art tables on Saturday and Sunday. He will have the VIP Backstage event Saturday after the movie and the Sunday sketch packages. So I suggest visiting them when you get to the convention as I think they ticket the table signings.

The comic packages are being announced tomorrow and will go on sale immediately. Comic Sketch Art is offering two packages (1) Gotham After Dark and (2) Wolverine vs the Hulk.

So while I book the talent, I don't coordinate what they will bring for their table, what they will do at their table, or what they charge at their table. In most cases, they are working with a rep or manager who oversees their table and does that for them. You can buy a package and get three autographs and a large print for $100. If you want to get them graded get the other one for $150 that also allows for three autographs and a print, you will still need to submit the books and pay the grading fees and shipping fees, the $150 covers his signing and CGC signing fees (but not grading and shipping fees. If you just want one autograph, it's $50 at his table later in the day. His CGC rep will be nearby and you'll have to pay them his CGC Autograph fee on top of that $50 ticket and grading and shipping fees. If you are working with facilitators / and or agents, they have to take these fees into account when getting autographs at the events.

That's been the case for years now - comic guests and artist alley in the Big Four. I never get a chance to see the vendors. Last year was a blip with the special edition show.

We want comic vendors, at some shows we have lots, at others it’s a struggle. Our exhibitor team is a seasoned mix of folks from Fan Expo, Reed, Wizard and some are former comic retailers. Mark Fitch, George Zotti, Alex Wer, Autumn Hathaway and Rich Capobianco are the best I’ve seen. This is really the first show in the area post-Pandemic (which lingers) and there was reluctance because of negative association with Wizard - but we did what we set out to do, we had a stellar creator line-up, a great selection of celebs, lots of things for the whole family. A good start. We’ll continue to work to get more comic vendors, we value the feedback.
