  1. @Get Marwood & I Heres a 2nd gen case i saw at my LCS today. Pics aren't the best. It's a bit worse in person. I have a few 2nd gen cases with rings but its minimal and most are on the back cover.
  2. I voted based on what the bare minimum should be (Appearance in Single story page without dialogue, No Cover appearance) but as RMA stated they are all qualifiers of a first appearance except the bottom two and maybe the top one. Gambit, Wolverine and Darkseid's appearances have already been brought up as one's that are contentious or confusing. Mystique and Apocalypse are the same where the market's decided what issue really matters and it's not the first time they actually appeared. No matter what our thoughts are the market will always drive which book really matters when it comes to resale value.
  3. WOW!!!! Jeff and Steve kill it every time. Can't wait to see it in person. Thanks for getting me in this Dan.
  4. I just recently ordered an ASM 800 Crain variant from them. A few days after release I hadn't received an email stating it was shipped, so I emailed them with no reply. A few days later I emailed them again and the next day I had a tracking email. I got my book but they're customer service/lack of communication is garbage. After sending my initial email I started researching them (should've done this initially ) and saw the non stop stream of issues from countless people. I'm glad I got my book, but they seem to risky for me to buy from again.
  5. His stuff is always amazing. I'd just be less excited.
  6. Andy heres mine from 2 opps ago. Came back 9.8.
  7. My top 5 in no particular order. Edgar Tadeo [/img] Darryl Banks [/img] Natali Sanders
  8. What I've been collecting the last year. About this time last year I caught the sketch cover bug. I have to assign most of the blame to Kaholo1256. I'd never really been exposed to sketch covers until he posted a journal sharing some of his recent acquisitions, specifically a piece by Whilce Portacio. That moment got me curious and I decided to ask him what all I had to do to get in. I decided to venture into the signature room and looked through the Edgar Tadeo thread. All of his work is amazing, but a Wolverine vs Sabretooth cover just jumped out at me and I knew I needed something from him. If you haven't seen that cover, do yourself a favor and go check it out. If it ever goes for sale I will definitely bid on it. So after talking to Kaholo, he was able to put me in touch with Force Majeure, who was facilitating the Tadeo opp. I was able to go all out and requested a wraparound cover of Apocalypse vs Archangel in color. I am extremely happy with the final result and glad this was my first sketch. It definitely wasn't the last. While I waited for it I went and purchased an already completed sketch by Freddie Williams. After I signed up for Tadeo I just kept going. I signed up for numerous others as well as getting a couple done at some local cons. Those unfortunately weren't graded as there was no cgc rep. Its been a lot of fun and a lot of money. So I'll be taking a bit of a break with getting so many done but I don't think I will ever get rid of the itch for comic art. But many thanks go out to all the facilitators and boardies that helped me acquire all this. And thanks to Kaholo for starting it all. Below are some scans and pictures of what I've received so far. Edgar Tadeo Uncanny X-Men cover recreation by Chris Mangold Jamie Jones Freddie Williams Adelso Corona Darryl Banks Kokkinakis Achileas Hugh Rookwood Jeff Edwards Pop Mhan (one of my ungraded ones) Jim O'Riley (ungraded) Matt Slay (ungraded) click here. 9. Daisy wasn't an Inhuman, was she? Just here? She was originally thought to be a mutant but later you find out her dad is Mr. Hyde. So she's just a super being in the comics. But Marvel seems to be rolling with Inhumans as their way to explain people gaining powers since Fox owns mutants.
  10. Have to agree on skye and her dad. Its pretty obvious now and fits in with the comics. I don't know who the Reader is. Tigra would be cool for Raina. I just wonder about the special effects for her appearance. I was kind of hoping she'd be a female Karnak, at least powers wise.
  11. I was thinkin' Charlie Murphy Actually the more I think about it... the more I realize Marvel already had the best actor to play Black Panther on the payroll. I was wondering if they'd use Wesley Snipes. But I'm definiltely excited to see the character brought to life.
  12. Shipped - 18 August UPS box showed up yesterday. 1 label has a slight typo. I'm not going to waste my time sending it back.
  13. Marvel owns the rights to the name Captain Marvel. See Carol Danvers current book.
