  9. I can't resist HG Treasury books. The same guys had a sweet Supes vs. Ali....but I couldn't bring myself to spend any more money. The seller was set up at the show next to me, and I managed to hold off on grabbing the ones I did until today. Do you know of a complete list out there? I have dozens of them in high grade. I may be missing a Flintstones or something, but other than that, I think I have them all. I remember a webpage that had a list, but I can't find it now. Not sure if it was the complete list. Lots of obscure ones. Bill.. do you have the Hanna Barbara Treasuries...
  10. Thanks. Funny you mention their similarity to movie posters.....you will never guess what I just started collecting. I actually have "The Mummy", "Dracula" and " Frankenstein" movie posters hanging in my home office.. .albeit...replicas... but every detail even down to the exact size ... I love them.. reminds me so much of growing up
  11. cool books Andy!!! There's something about GA books that has such a classic afternoon matinee look about them...like classic black and white movie posters... must stay away from this genre.... spending would become too much

  15. Stand back Robin while I snatch the cape with one of the many fantastic devices on my belt. Problem avoided. or... Batman could strip down to his birthday suit... (so no one knows his secret identity) ...go streaking..then ask Robin is KFC is still open... ** Bruce the Tank** whooooo.. I'm going streakin' but seriously... awesome color on that book... DC was so much more superior in paper quality and inks then Marvel

  20. awesome Pete!!! I have about 20 pieces of OA and that stuff is more important in my collection then comics...
  21. This is a great book. The paper is actually linen. Linen books were actually pretty popular for kids in the 1930's. In fact, there's a whole slew of Disney linen books. None of them as valuable as the guides states. (A friend of Donut and mine actually has a wall in his store office lined with them, none of which he has paid more than a few bucks for). Why these are in Overstreet is beyond me--as collectible as they are, this isn't a comic book. Might as well include every Golden book or kids' book in there. By the way, and I'd have to double check this, but I think this book is just about the first Daffy appearance anywhere, even predating his cartoon appearance. Interesting.. Linen books... so if a small child used it to wipe his/her nose then CGC may note on the label... " small amount of snot on spine " would it still get Blue label then
  22. WOW.. that book jumps out at me.. if not for that huge crease on the cover it would probably be a 7.5... fabulous looking ...that is probably my favourite GA cover now...
